I think it's because of the Maverick and the light unibody pick-up truck category that a lot of people have been wanting, but no manufacturer was making for the USA market until 2021. It might of just been CARB as the reason why we didn't get the Maverick sooner. For the wheelbase, the Maverick needed the hybrid version to get 40 mpg in order to also sell the EcoBoost version. I think the one possibility that you missed here is Nissan, who is renowned for its adaptability of its factory floors. They are also revenue negative and have a half ton truck plant that is not being fully utilized. If Caterpillar wanted 7,000 pickup trucks built,Nissan could do it. Nissan has done this type of work for companies like Mercedes before. Then say John Deere wants 10,000 units. All of a sudden the Nissan Titan returns. Now it is likely true that Caterpillar and John Deere are likely not in the process of building a pickup truck. It is also possible that after seeing the interest on the internet for the product they could intervene and sign into a contract with someone like Nissan or Ma to build a truk for them.
Why didn't you make this video about a year ago for the "Toyota Stout"? That was a rumor started by the AI bot channels based on a non answer that Toyota PR gave to an interviewer. I appreciate that you made this video but it's about a year late.
I think the thing driving these rumors is that people are tired of being raked over the coals and charged insanely stupid amounts of money for pick up trucks and off-road vehicles these days. We just want something that is good solid and won’t put us in the poor house.
lol🤣 on seeing the caption, I was like what. I gate to see this video, but honestly I don't take those hipper captions seriously until I see an official video from the Manufacture. for example, I am looking forward to see the new or refresh RAV4 Hybrid. I seer a few videos post on the 2025 oe 2026 RAV4, but I don't waste my time to look at then since I know Toyota has not relapse or tease any thing.
I mean, someone could take a chevy and rebadge it to cat. GM is doing it for Honda with the new Prologue EV, so probably they would do it for Caterpiller, John Deer, etc.
Yamaha has been building quality engines for decades and for companies like Toyota. They, in fact, could build a roadworthy vehicle other than their side by side, atv, or motorcycles the build now.
It would make more sense for CAT, John Deere, Yamaha, Kubota to partner with one of the big manufacturers and build a special edition truck. Like a F.150 CAT edition or something.
Which brings up another question I have also seen that Kia is going to produce a pick up truck not that I would rush out and buy one, but is that true?
There are 20 states that will license UTVs. I have to believe that many of them will restrict where they can be driven. I even seen license plates on ATVs in Idaho.

Now it is likely true that Caterpillar and John Deere are likely not in the process of building a pickup truck. It is also possible that after seeing the interest on the internet for the product they could intervene and sign into a contract with someone like Nissan or Ma to build a truk for them.
Too bad! That fake catapiller truck looked great! Maybe they should team up with Ford for a special edition spec'd the way they want it?
Why didn't you make this video about a year ago for the "Toyota Stout"? That was a rumor started by the AI bot channels based on a non answer that Toyota PR gave to an interviewer. I appreciate that you made this video but it's about a year late.
I know Yamaha has a pick up truck out there in Japan. It’s a full electric truck, but it’s not nothing like for America right now.
I would definitely purchase a Caterpillar pick up truck and according to the photo it looks like a bad a** truck too love the color looks beefy
Thanks for expelling it I got suckered into believing in the Caterpillar truck🙃. Looking forward to the release of the VW Scout
You guys seen the new Tampax truck, I can pull some strings and get you one.😂🤣
The most convining rumor I heard was claiming CAT was going to team up with GM to deliver a CAT powered version of the Colorado or Silverado. Still BS
A sucker is born every minute.
Wait what?!? But but but I've read this on the Internet - so it HAS TO BE TRUE!!! 😁😁😁😜
They would also have emissions and CAFE standards they would need to deal with. I agree the news is bogus.
The pickup truck market is already saturated, light duty trucks is not Caterpillar's forte. Cat is doing just fine doing what they are doing.
Caterpillar is working with boeing to get the two astronauts back from the space station so they do not have to wait until 2026.
Too much of a hazzle
Id say its easier if Cummins asked Stellantis "hey can we slap a custom grill to the RAM 2500, some custom seats and a new pair of headlights and call it the Cummins pick up?"
Thats more realistic than saying JD is going to make something that can actually go 60mph
Yamaha built the great Volvo xc90 V8 engine…( S80 sedan)..& the SHO Taurus.
That’s why you never take your company public. No one to answer too.
@@bigt4135 Except your investors.
It's the same people who believe this are the same people who fall for the April fool's jokes.
This is the problem that the creator of AI should've told people about, but refused to or was silenced (threatened) due to pressure.
@@atvtinker01 Yeah; it’s a conspiracy.
Get rid of the regs. I ride a street bike. Allow the Jimny in.
I'd love for the Jimny to come to the US.
Cat pulled away from the on road market because the only clean burning engine they build with oil that doesn't instantly turn black is used in industrial applications such as natural gas for example
There was a H.D. model, colab. P.U. John Deer or Cat could certainly colab with G.M. or Stelantis or Ford.
Yes. Caterpillar did a semi truck collaboration with Navistar.
How about the Freightliner pickup truck that is being shown on you tube????
Fake... Why would international get into light duty vehicles?
I've seen "John Deere" trucks in every town and so have you 😂
Let's call it what it is - a lie.
NO! They are not building a truck. Some kids started that internet rumor. And now everyone is running with it. Geez
I thought that was fake news as Cat's website didnt have anything about pickups
Need a new or different intern to upload your videos. This channel constantly has videos uploaded about a particular subject only to see it cut off in the middle of the segment. Happens at least once a week.
Are you serious? How do I get my deposit back for the 3 pre-orders I placed? I got an email a few weeks ago, placed my deposit, and was told 6 months. SOB
Nissan needs to look at some of these designs for their Titan and they would have a a hit on their hands.
I like the look of these fake trucks more than the real trucks being sold.
@@kenyongillespie8652
Year, all they need is inspiration from some incel doing renderings in his mom’s basement.
And Yamaha does build trucks just not in America. They built them in Japan.
The way they could get by all the safety requirements is to classify it as a motorcycle. Or that's how they are legal in North Carolina to be registered and driven on the highway. Only requirements then are same as a motorcycle, so in other words you have to wear a helmet when operating one and must have headlight on at all times that's basically it. Oh and you must have a motorcycle indorsement on your driver's license
I love my caterpillar pickup truck,it is very reliable and good for the world.
