Mike, my name is Jeff and I am a UA-camr I narrate Cryptid encounters I just want to let you know that I follow all of your videos and pretty much anything that you are associated with. One of my favorite interviews was you with Black Rifle coffee. I was diagnosed with a terminal illness about four and a half years ago and I suffer from severe neuropathy during this time I started my UA-cam channel and I formed a love with firearms and I've always been big into survival and bugging out. There's a few people I'd like to meet before the good Lord takes me one being colion Noir, the old honest outlaw, Matt best and you anyway keep up the great work I know you probably won't read this cuz you're real busy guy but that's cool at least I got to write this out to you. God bless and God bless this great country that we live in today thank you for fighting for my freedom and everyone else who lives here as well

How funny. Just a few days ago I was telling my Dad that a lightbulb went off in my head that we needed bug-out bike setups...just to turn to the internet and find a PLETHORA of setups/information.
Then you guys doing a video on the topic just set the validity/practicality in stone 😆

Another question... "If in a SHTF situation, and THERE is no power, the grid is down, just how are you going to power that 85lb bike with the 150 lb backpack on the back, and you weight between around 150-295 lbs? Just how far are you going to go? 'NOT FAR, and with not other power systems, I doubt that you're going to get your 72 hour bug out bag going in some place that you can be away from others. Pushing that much weight is nothing but "dead" weight.....

I have a vintage electric Scrambler limited edition. Loved it to bits but as soon as I had a problem and the bike is now out of warranty , Vintage Electric electric did not want to know. The sprocket on the rear hub broke a part which meant that I had no pedal power ,only throttle. My repair shop contacted their HQ and was told I had to buy a complete wheel and would not supply the part they wanted. A/holes. A very expensive mistake I made in buying this bike. Advertised as a bike to last generations ( what rubbish ). I don't reside in America and won't ever buy one of their bikes again. buy one but do not expect service after the warranty expires.

That bike looks super cool which basically means it’s a no go in an urban situation. Too desirable. But damn it does look good!

Those bags are great. I have the 24 version and you can easily pack for a 48hr op/shtf scenario. So I'm assuming the 72 can most likely go for 96, fully expanded.

You need to get on something like a Fezzari Wire Peak - full suspension off road electric mountain bike that will get you anywhere.

When you test for range will you also look at how well it recharges while you ride? Or is that not possible with this particular bike? Also, will you be looking at obstacles such as how inclines, terrain types and if you had to stop and lift, carry or traverse something?

My current car cost less than this bike. It has a bike rack with a $99 mountain bike, which holds 100lbs gear, and my giant butt.
I like the bike, and with a decent portable solar panel to recharge would be lovely... should I ever win the lotter.
Have you checked out RAD bikes yet?

and so is San Antonio, Tx, Austn, Dallas DFW, Philly, Boston, NY, and any large metropolitan city that has a billion miles of highway, where when the time comes will have a gridlock that is so great that everthing looks like a parking lot. So please don't use SF as a reference point, it just happens to have its own major problems.....

Add a solar charging option and the capability jumps significantly.

How do you tell; you're on a level and paved path with no bumps, you have no obstacles, to talk about, and yet here you are with a friend of yours who is robably in good health, and on a bike that is practically brand new. The test parameters that you're using is not even real world; how about putting man/machine to a real tests, a very heavy person, an overweight combat load, rifles, fishing poles, and whatever he/she needs to survive 72-100 hours in a combat condition (no enemy, but having to evacuate every few hours), and without a way to recharge those batteries. Then having to move up and down hills that are moderate to steep, negiotate over trees, bushes, ruts, and sandy ground, plus having to do a quick maintenance problem. Now let's see you tell us poor folks how well that bike did. If you can replicate those conidtions that would necessitate having to spend money for an EDC/Bug out bike, then find, but not putting this through its paces is generally wrong.....
