I think one of the best things about not having to air them down too much for sand, is the lower risk of getting the tyre off the bead. Not everyone can afford bead lockers.
you don't need to go beyond 20psi but if you do you must drive no faster than 40km and never turn hard or brake hard. If you do those lower pressure will not get tyres off the beads.
4x4 Camping and Adventures hey thanks for replying mate.Um,I have 32x10 kenda klever on 17” rim.tyre shop inflated them to 40psi,and told me to run that pressure.I am lost now.My tyres, with 40 psi feel so spongey, like they have 15psi in them, but there all 40psi.They feel like they still need more air,but your only running 28 psi?,in a 33x12.5 tyre? Mate I’m so confused lol.Can you please un confuse me?Love your vids bud,and your knowledge!👍
Larn Delaney hey mate I checked with Toyo when I bought the tyres and we weighed the car and with the weights and the carcass of the tyre they recommended 28psi I believe it has to do with the sidewall strength and a few other things in the make up of the tyre but so far the tyres are wearing super even.
@@4x4CampingandAdventures Good to hear i just got some 33s for my 80 series (a little small for an 80 but they were on sale brand new 60%off) i like them so far
Don Finch I was blown away it’s got to do with a few things like the carcass of the tyre side walls etc but they are wearing really well with these pressures mate I’m glad I did it.
Apologies for the re-upload not sure why but the Audio was super quiet in the original so hopefully its all fixed!
How about road grip, both wet and dry bitumen? Cheers
Both were great mate plenty in the wet and the dry was solid as well

I got 43,000 miles on my tires :) my next set will be Mickey Thompsons AT :)
Ever tried hard braking in the wet? Hows the grip like on wet tarmac?
I have mate didn’t lock up it pulled up pretty well to be honest but I did have the upgraded brakes.
@@4x4CampingandAdventures thankyou
How do these handle snow? Really looking into getting these RTs but I do drive in snow about twice a year and wanna feel comfortable enough when I do.
Hey mate no snow here but they handle mud etc really well I would say they are a very good tyre for slippery surfaces
Have you experienced any icy/snow driving on the tires, and, if so, how did they do?
cobblecrazy no snow and ice over in w.a mate unfortunately
Where you able to fit that size under your tub?
No mate doesn’t fit
Thanks mate
Did you say 28 psi?
Larn Delaney at the front mate yep

Wheels and tyres thats pretty cheap mate!
Good review. Like the idea of contacting Toyo for recommended pressures. Not always what you think, eh
