I agree but the pulse with jolting feedback is amazing right now. There should be an exotic likes dregs promise that can drop randomly at the end of a completion
@@Bigdawgstatus69420 theres some good rolls to get, my main issue is most weapons are insta deletes and at max favor you get 1 alloy/shard at the end. Activity needs more alloy/shard drops, double perk weapons to sometimes drop and it'll be fine.
Man I sure love 30 minutes of work for 5 dismantles that turn into gunsmith rep and glimmer. If a gm can be done 10-15 minutes on average with x4 more loot what's the incentive? The ONLY good thing with tonics is that it allows me to stay away from revenant content.... For artifact mods it just feels like we get half the effect and have to jump through another restrictive choice to get the full benefit.
It's a good activity, I just wish 1) I could complete a run without having to cycle through a dozen teammates cause people just quit mid-way through (just like with The Coil) 2) more of the seasonal weapons were worth chasing to make me wanna grind this activity more.
I genuinely cant play the game anymore, after how much i loved TFS, the episode model honest to god killed my love for the game, i just think its over for me.
I don't know if it's just me but this feels absolutely nothing like prison of elders. Also I don't really understand the room of lucent hive and the pyramid room as those wouldn't exist in the old prison of elders. Overall not a bad activity but not really one I'm excited to play
It’s an ok activity. It definitely shouldn’t have been called prison of elders. It’s more like “savathuns spire/ coil/ menagerie. Prison of leaders was great cause you could do the easy modes and get loot. But it also had a dedicated end game mode with different good loot. There is nothing end game about this activity. Also a big problem is the loot is mid this episode. I can also get the same loot running crucible this season with the tonics. So that’s a thing.
How they can call this a rogue-lite when there’s one environmental modifier each round and zero player buffs throughout the whole activity is beyond me. The Coil was a rogue-lite and they didn’t call it that in their marketing. This new episodic shit is not a rogue-lite and they’re calling it that in their marketing. How is anyone *not* jaded at this point?
The problem with positive modifiers is the way a destiny brain works. Destiny players don’t see positive modifiers as options they see them as requirements that stop them from playing the same build they’ve had for years because change is uncomfortable for a majority of the playerbase
Coil was better, much more rewards overall, and imo more fun as well with cool modifiers. The fact that there's no loot worth chasing is a big problem as well. We got 2 new weapons(3 with Gridskipper) alongside ones we already farmed 6 weeks for. The new ones are just ok, shotty is good in pvp, but we've gotten a ton of good precision shottys recently so it's not as special as it could have been and the smg and pulse are just ok. This should have been the act 1 activity because releasing it now with no loot to farm kinda makes it pointless.
Loot Chase Idea (for Seasonal Weapons) What if we include Crafting and Shinies? Crafting for vault space, later changes to perks, and to inspire enough gameplay to get all the red borders Shinies are some sort of seasonal ornament that drops on non-red borders. Double Perks, and an Alternative origin perk in addition to the seasonal one (like vanguard's vindication, or a foundry perk) to sweeten the deal. Sure, crafting weapons kills some of the grind (while also being a safety net) but if there was a nice and spicy limited time appearance that you can flex having your god roll on? Idk, I feel like this would fix some of the loot grind issues.
Re-introduce red border weapons to seasonal activities Once you have a weapon pattern crafted, seasonal activities ALSO have a chance to drop shiny versions like OG Onslaught Thank you for listening.
Fastest run so far is 26min for myself, really wish there were some fun modifiers mixed in with the debuffs, heck give me two or three debuffs for one fun modifier. Not a bad activity, just not exciting. Insert "man I miss coil" -here.
On weapons, the new SMG has some good fun rolls, jolting feedback/attrition orbs is nice :) But agree in the main, the weapons aren't particularly compelling this season. Was glad to finally get the class item on my hunter from Tomb at least, and I've enjoyed the activity all told!
After ~8 years of pretty dedicated playing, it's hard to get excited about any loot these days. I may not have a god roll for every archetype but I've got a solid "good enough" roll for every archetype. Just not finding much that's gonna earn a spot in the ol' vault.
@@Bob-mm6hq no it isn't. You get more loot. But the weapons are trash. You don't get ascendant shards, prisms, alloys. Its just a few shitty weapons and tonic materials.
Also the quest tells you you're done before a full run is over and doesn't MM to backfill well! That will probably get better as more people get past that step.
Alot of yall reslly dont play games for the love of the game and it shows.. the loot aint the issue cause i guarantee most of yalls vaults are filled with "must have" weapons that u never play with..
Bro having no loot to earn in the loot video game is obviously a problem. I play crucible even in its terrible state for the “love of the game” but that game mode is designed to be more casual as compared to PvE. Meaning that I can play a game or two, feel satisfied or get mad then get off for the rest of the day. PvE is designed to be this multifaceted experience that challenges players ability to interact with activities and succeed. If there is no point to “succeed” in PvE then why play destiny at all. Sure with the argument of vault space and or power creep the games loot isn’t in its best state but even then I feel like having things such as strike specific armor pieces or cosmetics would help to at least make players want to play the game.
The seasonal pulse is super good and I’m excited to see how I feel about the smg but overall the loot hasn’t been great this season. Gotta add some stuff that I actually want to chase. Last season felt good because it had an entirely new type of GL, the first solar rocket sidearm, another two round burst pulse, and a scout in a frame people love. It had weapons that actually seemed worth it to chase. These current weapons are only good because of the origin trait which is amazing, it basically removes the need to reload.
The SMG is awesome with Jolting, and if you pair it with Bitter/Sweet there is a broken interaction with the origin trait. It reads like it's only supposed to refill the gun you're using, but while using the SMG when I shoot the balls it also overfills the GL to 14-15 shots. Love it
The tonic ingredient grind for the higher up tonics is a bit much, especially considering its basically rng if the next one up will unlock or not. By the time you get one unlocked youve used all your ingredients so you cant even craft the next so its just blinking for days until you finally unlock it...rinse and repeat
Played out is a good way to say it. This whole video I was just thinking is a fun 6man activity supposed to bring me back to the game. Something about this loot just doesn't drive me to go get it crafting or not. This is why I think D3 was needed to give the loot grind a real refresh ideally with a game overhaul to give it reason other then sunsetting.
I left my first couple runs after the 3rd boss. I had no idea, the game doesn't tell you that this activity is 4 runs total with a treasure room at the end. I legit thought it was infinite so I would just dip out when I got bored.
Hard to see the objective when my own breech-loaded grenades are exploding in my face seemingly randomly while Dread shots are homing in on me no matter where I run.
I did one run, got a bunch of stuff deleted most of it, my vault is too full. It took WAY too long. Meh, id rather go raid or play pvp. Bring back crafting, I have nothing to grind here for and my vault is full.
Biggest problem I have is like he said the modifiers...the enemies already hit like their shooting hand held cannons all the time...let us have more powerful modifiers to hit back or shield us a little better...grounded they do need to get rid of that BS....not sure why they have to make enemies seem to always have the advantage of 1 shotting the hell out of us but someone at Dumbgie finds that BS funny.
I know this video wasn't about the story, but Paul did say, with exasperation, that this is ANOTHER villain redemption story, implying we've had a ton of those. But, have we? Wasn't the last one Crow, during Beyond Light's seasons (i.e., 3-4 years ago)? Was there even one before that, or has there been one after besides the groundwork they've been laying with Eramis?
To me it feels like a “horde mode” I just get on to do seasonal objectives and then leave. From my wishes I hope that it doesn’t get milked into the ground for framework and they can find another alternative to the next episode. I’m just grabbing the shaders at this point to get it out of the way.
The big flaw is…how do we go from defeating the biggest antagonist, The Witness, to reverting back to older, smaller villains apart of a story that needs to progress beyond The Witness and to the bigger story/antagonist he refers exists
This is such a weird question, we spent 2 years dealing with this guy that doesn't make everything else irrelevant. We stopped the biggest nuke ever but a hand grenade will kill us still just the same 🤷♂
Bungie making a stasis focused artifact, then adding two stasis weaapons to iron banner over the holiday weekend. I mean, im still going to play but weeks have gone by when we could have used the new sidearm. The seasonal gl is okay but not worth my exotic slot, ill stick with the vs baton.
Sorry Paul, whilst the activities seem to be designed well, they're really more of the same..... so it's BORING...... nothing ground breaking, with no NEW creativity..... not fun at all.
Did the runs i needed to for the act story but feel near zero incentive to play more. I love the prison of elders, i love the eliksni character cast and i like the vampiric themeing. On paper this season should be a home run for me but I just can't bring myself to care. The way the story is going certainly doesn't help... The big thing the coil had over this was the different purchasable buffs, kind of a staple of a rogue-lite an odd omission given their previous attempts.
"Yet another redemption arc", ok... but Crow is the only one we've ever had in Destiny and even that's debateable. Eramis' arc has also been set up for the last two years, this is not a bad storyline. This act had a great story, it was just too short given the wait. Also, the traversal sections were the best part of the coil alongside collecting the glass, it made it way more unique and it actually matterred if you wanted the best loot, the encounters here are better than the Coil though.
I only buy seasons if I feel like it and right now, I don’t believe I should pay $12 for this or whatever it costs now. I have mainly been hearing negative feedback on this activity so I find your take surprising but given the split, I just don’t feel sure about it.
The weapon chase in Destiny doesn’t exist anymore thats why for myself I don’t care to play anymore, all weapons are a form of ability synergies now where abilities are the main draw and weapons really don’t matter as long as it has incandescent, one of the void perks and volt shot then it doesn’t matter what the weapon actually is
We need a total loot rework. Destiny needs to evolve into full mmo or its going to die. We need weapon tiers on top of weapon levels and rarity. New world is a great example of that. I'd like to see traits and set bonuses like division 2 or throne and liberty
I’m not a fan. The return of annoying modifiers and revival tokens, in a seasonal activity, is tedious and not fun. And all for the sake of grinding new materials to unlock activity specific tonics for a weapon I already could make an onslaught tonic for. What? At least give me the new weapon tonics first. Ffs we’re really out here grinding rare materials just to make a tonic that gives a mediocre chance at getting the weapon drop we want? Hard pass. It’s SO tedious and just not fun at this point. Removal of seasonal crafting killed it for me. Tonics are a really poor replacement, especially if the matchmade activity is going to have annoying modifiers and revive tokens with the possibility of wiping. It’s just not a fun or rewarding feeling grind anymore.
Dude you get like 25 tokens there’s zero chance you wipe, there’s one modifier that really affects you and the point of it is to cause you to play around it. It’s not tedious it’s just causing you to change your play style. I don’t get the point of this. Also crafting being gone for the weapons that you get like 4 of per run of an activity is great, it causes you to actually play the game instead of logging on once a week for 5 weeks and getting whatever weapon you want. You have to work for your loot, the entire point behind destiny being a looter shooter 🙀
only thing i agree with is the lack of crafting. it was such a poor decision I'd rather need 10-15-20 red borders for a weapon instead of grinding for dozens of hours for a chance of getting a good weapon. but th rez tokens and modifiers? yeah no, even with those if you're half decent you'll do the entire thing flawless.
The Tomb Tonics are so fucking dumb. They should've just added the new weapon tonics between the already existing weapon tonics. You grind out all the tomb tonics just to unlock the new weapon tonics
paul that glacial quake performance is inexcusable.... you want the target in the middle of the big triangle of icicles you make. back up like a good 5 meters before spamming the crystals PLEASEEEE
I loved prison of elders , but as it is right now this activity is a hollow form of its former self. wheres the specific boss fight scenarios you can load into, wheres the loot / armour / introduction of the enemies you are going to be fighting, the neat cutscenes. and i know its a big ask but would it kill them to add dregs promise as like a random drop as a homage to PoE of old
I don't get it. The Labyrinth was a nice combo of platform, hidden chests and such. This is just rooms at the end of corridors with random effects in play. I don't even know what a "full run" is because after about 25 minutes someone or other has dropped out of the platoon and the game seems to refuse to matchmake once you've done a few full cycles.
This and the fact that we have future guns already in the API that you can see like months in advance is what tends to kill new loot for me. I'm just not surprised at all by the new guns.
Yeah like I got a little excited when I saw vintage weapon in the tonic but I’ve already seen everything on light gg, they had another 6 weeks to develop this there’s no way they couldn’t have brought them back
The activity is very well crafted but i do have one issue. Its not enough like prison for me, and i know had they made it more simliar people wouldve complained. I just really liked the og prison, felt like more of a guanlet type thing
If the twist is that Fikrul dies and the echo chooses Eramis who then f***s off to the far reaches of the system with what Salvation loyalists are left that would be... Fine. I want to say good, but it'd probably just be fine.
First 2 times playing was fun. 3rd time showed its crack. The annoying repetitive voice lines where you hear the same one at least 3 times. Not even coil was that annoying cuz there you had characters talk about whats going on. The activity isn't even as rewarding as coil when its just as long. And then the encounters. Taken/Dread is the worst, you don't have to fill the entire room with Grims,Bungie.
40 Minutes without any of the lessons Bungie should have learned. Actual rogue mechanics that you can select. Shiny weapons loot pool AND cosmetic loot. Some of the mechanics are interesting, like the gas cloud. And the fake mines. But overall it’s not really hard to stay at favor x3, and the shower of loot with only gridskipper, the smg and dustrock 2 being the new loot… meh. They needed something more along the lines of a shiny version of grasp of maloc, or a legendary version of Dreg’s Promise with something like enhanced jolting feedback, etc etc they had so much loot to pick from. The could have brought back the shield brothers with the unique gauntlets. They could have ripped a bunch of house of wolves loot. Even the enemy specific extra perks. Blah blah blah etc etc THIS IS A LOOOOOTER Shooter. Keyword: LOOT. Lol an extra 50 or 100 vault space would be nice too. Unique drops from each encounter, like Psyloc could have had a chance to drop a taken shader. That alone would send people grinding in a frenzy lol
The way they drip feed us content kinda killed my attention span for the seasonal content. I got so use to getting my 15 minutes of gameplay, that when they let us have all of act one, i played for about that 15 minutes and just havnt gone back. Not really an excuse for it but just something i noticed
I'll provabky never play this, ever. I switched to four tens at work and I played video games a total of 25 mins last week inckuding during my now three day weekends every week. Weapons might be nice but the game is so mid. I'm honestly surprised on this return to D2 I stayed through the entire expansion all of episode 1 and all but two weeks of act 1 episode 2. I'll say what most think. We need D3 so bad. We all love the gun play and mechanics but there's no reason or incentive to play. If no D3 then they need to sunset all these old strikes and worlds, not weapons and each expansion needs to be a fresh start of something new with new activities. There needs to be new worlds and especially new events and activities not shit added too like onslaught or a reskin like this. As I slogged through act 1 just to level up only my power which means nothing. I was like yes!!!! Prison of elders i never played D1. Now I'm like who gives a fuck
Makes zero sense to not invest in your only money making game 😂 loot incentives barely exist but eververse fully stocked with new items always. Hopefully Sony takes complete control
My friend was so excited to run a couple rounds with me yesterday . And I think I shit on his mood. Cause I don't like this contest of elders activity. I don't like the buff/debuff shit. Besides that it's a pretty cool idea
I love these activities, but I'm not just gonna mindlessly throw myself at them for nothing. The only thing I really want to farm right now is Icebreaker, but you can't really farm for it, and i don't wanna play for only an hour, then be told to come back next Tuesday and have nothing to do in the interim. I think rng only loot could work, but man, these focusing options are a joke. I don't even mind being given no options and just being told tough luck if it doesn't drop what i want, but if you tell me [x] weapon is gonna drop more, i want it to feel like it's actually dropping more. Not to mention at this point, with crafting absorbing new perks almost immediately, with Revenant's new perks being the only exception, they really need to add something special to the rng loot pools for me to wanna grind those weapons out.
Wait, who was a true villian that got a redemption arc? Erimis was never a true villian, Caitl was not a true villian, Crow is technically a whole different person. I may have missed someone, there's a lot that happens in Destiny at points. Just because someone disagrees with you or is on the other side of a war does not t make them a villain. As someone who is a writer, you should know this Paul, geez
Were not gonna talk about how eramis could teleport all that time but chose to stay in? Is it that hard to create friendly ai after youve done it 20 years ago?
When it comes to Destiny or games like it, I never really care about the loot grind. Sure I'll work towards getting high level gear, but my main focus is on fun. D2 as it is currently has turned away from that. Old prison of Elders was a fun activity. It can be difficult and I have done soli runs of Challenge of Elders, but it was still fun to me. Contest of Elders is 2020 in power and my highest character is only 2011 with artifact power because the pinnacle grind is atrocious so I haven't been able to do that one, but even Tomb of the Elders isn't fun due to terrible modifiers and I never found the Coil to be fun either. Does anyone remember togetherness in there? It was a terrible experience and yet Bungie decided to put even worse modifiers into this. Where is the fun Bungie? Where is the enjoyable experience I came for all the way back from Taken King/Rise of Iron to now?
Bungie: gives Eramis a redemption arc. "Um, counterpoint: you're a terrorist." She joined the Witness and turned all of Rasputin's guns on the Traveller. Before that we had to have a pirate war with her forces. Honestly, a better arc would be if in her desperation and hate of us and the Traveller, she joined Fikrul and became scorned
Savathun had done worse and we worked with them on multiple occasions. Crow killed the hunter vanguard and is now the current vanguard (killed in his past life but still). Variks left the prison of elders and got thousands killed and now we're working with them too! I don't really think the crime's matter. It just depends if they can be redeemed.
It's less "so no one is blowing through this as fast as humanly possible" and more "so only pre-built fire teams are blowing though this as fast as humanly possible." Going to be some rage quitting in the middle of runs if blueberries trigger Warden's Punishment and extend run times.
Should have brought back Dreg's Promise. I would have played a lot of this activity to get that exotic back. As is, unless I'm forced to engage with it for Story Content, this is a HUGE waste of time for me personally. Weapons are meh. If they were craftable I'd have at least gone after a couple of them just to have in case of future buffs, but this whole season is just a big swing and miss imo.
Boring and half baked , its just empty rooms ..... and now got to traverse and ruined flow activity, no middle fort in arenas no walls or cover , and no loot to farm , maybe people who have not played poe might find it ok but this was a terrible remake of a activity, no burning floor modifiers and all the other creative environmental hazards .... calling it a re imagined poe was a awfull decision and a disservice.... kinda shamefull they had all this time and this was product we got .... cheap , uninspired , and zero craftsmanship in map design ... in fear of sounding like a hater ill just leave it at that
lol I don’t get the hate with the tonic system. As a first pass on ways to target loot and ability boosters it is a good system. Sure you have to remember to activate them. But the potential of a system like this is limitless. Y’all are bugging
@paul_tassi The loot pool is one of the worst we have ever had (more a seasonal issue, but it still hurts the activity), the gameplay seems dull because it's so unbelievably easy, and the challenges are just so boring and lame. And it's so tedious and the modifiers are not fun at all. They range from annoying to totally irrelevant. I felt like I barely even had to look at the screen to finish it with max rewards. Nothing about it seemed exciting or grabbed my attention. It's better than onslaught, but it's nothing special.
@@FlashesSoccer011it seems like you just haven’t gotten the correct combination of challenges. The abliity/precision kill one is nigh impossible in the pyramid themed room with all the speeding flying enemies and don’t get me started on the hive room.
@nicholasevans5518 stop it. I've breezed through this activity with no effort like 10 plus times. Its just not a good activity. You'd have to play blindfolded to struggle with this.
It has cool encounters but there is NOOOO reason to play it. I can boot up Prison in D1 right now, earn a whole unique set of weapons, 2 armor sets, cosmetics (yeah you don’t have to pay money for cosmetics, crazy right?) and a ship and emblem for fighting Skolas. Also a ghost shell with random rolls. Why tf would I jump on this shit for a reskinned shotgun and smg only? Lmao
@ What are you talking about? I’ll take everything I just listed over an SMG and Shotgun. At least there is waaay more rewards in POE. All of it unique too, not some reskinned bullshit. There is more incentive to play POE today than there is to play Tomb.
@@datboi9648 1) how many of those reward were actually usefull, even the exotic weapon were not even use that much ( 2 of them were dogwater). 2) more than half of the reward was reskin even back then people complain about it nothing has change. destiny player :" iT WaS BetTeR bAcK tHeN" meanwhile is always has been the same the only thing people were happy about was the taken armor and even that was a reskin of the original armor with a taken effect
@ Reskin? What game were you playing? The fallen themed weapons were almost alien with their design. Looked like fallen tech ripped right from their hands. Look if you want to suck bungie’s dick and be happy with two guns they we already saw and knew about with not even a skin more like a camo if anything on them. Still way more to play for in Prison. The reason Destiny is in the state that it’s in is because Bungo gives the bare minimum and focuses more on milking than actually filling the core experience. But kids like you will get on your knees and kiss the ground they walk on. If you think 2 guns is more content than everything I already listed you’re a fucking retard. D1 I could level vendors for ships, shaders, emblems, sparrow. Your dumbass pulls out a credit because I’m D2 anything extra worth having cosmetically is charged for. Having certain ships and shaders and armor actually meant you did something in D1.
i don't get the hate for the story i'm not playing rn but i genuinely like it from everything i've seen, and why are you acting like we've had a ton of "redemption arcs" or something over a decade now and we've had 2, 3 if you desperately count crow who isn't actual uldren so not really a redemption, and not counting him leaves only savathicc and now maybe eramis, am I missing something here? cause thats a lot more interesting then the dozens of go to big bad and kill them before the mcguffin kills all imo
Yeah, Eramis has always been on the "can reason with, is just lost" path. Don't know why that's hard to see. Monster of the week is fine too, but it gets really lame very quickly. Fikrul is a pretty cool reoccurring bad guy.
@Acrobuster ye I was honestly hoping it would've happened eventually since we got hints of it since beyond light, also fikrul actually makes sense to constantly return, that's literally his whole shtick
I'm getting tired of the Bungie live streams that hype these things up as being exciting and a brand new experience. Feels like a used car sales man pitch now. This "episode" is like 1 mission, 3x season activity, and a bunch of talking 🙄 boring af. And why do we have to do so much walking just to claim loot at the end. Half ass attempt
I don't enjoy the activity, loot has rarely if ever mattered considering the gameplay loop doesn't really change (even with power creep), so it's not like finding/using new weapons is more satisfying then using the ones you already have, (exotics being the only exception) and armor literally does nothing but provide cooldown reduction and/or stats. Its just more tedium at nauseum. The story is quite literally the only investment I have aside from cosmetics, and I detest the seasonal artifact this season so there is really very little for me in terms of motivation to play. To everyone playing Tomb of Elders, a game mode that Bungie has decided to use generic modifiers for and gives you a dated "lives" mechanic to punish you despite it being 2024 with lots of examples of how to make games "fun" and not just annoying, try to avoid getting brain damage from bashing your head against the wall of sparse and non-craft-able "content". Saying this is a "good activity" is like saying Light Fall is a good DLC, you'll find most people disagreeing if they even care at all unless they are financially motivated to agree with you as a content creator that covers this game.
Idk about all of yall but I love this. It’s nice and cool it’s definitely much better than only doing onslaught for the season( not saying onslaught is bad , just hated how long it took)

i used tonics and was gettin between 15 and 20 drops a run, id say thats worth it.
It's a good activity, I just wish 1) I could complete a run without having to cycle through a dozen teammates cause people just quit mid-way through (just like with The Coil) 2) more of the seasonal weapons were worth chasing to make me wanna grind this activity more.

They shouldve just copy Pasted the ability to buy buffs with currency from the coil and add it to the chest/loot room with the warden

Loot Chase Idea (for Seasonal Weapons)
What if we include Crafting and Shinies?
Crafting for vault space, later changes to perks, and to inspire enough gameplay to get all the red borders
Shinies are some sort of seasonal ornament that drops on non-red borders.
Re-introduce red border weapons to seasonal activities
Once you have a weapon pattern crafted, seasonal activities ALSO have a chance to drop shiny versions like OG Onslaught
Thank you for listening.
0:39 "Nezerac is making Mithrax an asshole"...well I wasn't that into the story but now you have my undivided attention.
It’s less fun than you think. He mostly yells at his daughter.
3:05 you WHAT yourself with a grenade launcher?!?!
We made it to the gold room and the loot was azz, no joke
If you gain wardens favor the loot is way better
@@Bob-mm6hq no it isn't. You get more loot. But the weapons are trash. You don't get ascendant shards, prisms, alloys. Its just a few shitty weapons and tonic materials.
@@FlashesSoccer011 it’s random guns and perks. The materials you’re get either way
The coil was rewarding, this isn’t.
@@xnbk-yotiex5247 it is for me bro what can I say I like it it’s cool sue me
The activity is good but the loot and modifiers are not worth the grind or headache
Love it
Have fun while they don't patch that interaction, I guess...they patch everything that makes the game a little fun
Too bad about that 5 handling
The tonic ingredient grind for the higher up tonics is a bit much, especially considering its basically rng if the next one up will unlock or not. By the time you get one unlocked youve used all your ingredients so you cant even craft the next so its just blinking for days until you finally unlock it...rinse and repeat
Where is Dreg’s Promise? Is he safe? Is he alright?
Does it matter? Jk, I do want to know.
Destiny becoming Steven Universe
I left my first couple runs after the 3rd boss. I had no idea, the game doesn't tell you that this activity is 4 runs total with a treasure room at the end. I legit thought it was infinite so I would just dip out when I got bored.
The game will tell the players what to do and they will still ignore it. The amount of times people just ignore the objectives.
Hard to see the objective when my own breech-loaded grenades are exploding in my face seemingly randomly while Dread shots are homing in on me no matter where I run.
@Anime-Doof it's literally right by the main objective on the top left
The big flaw is…how do we go from defeating the biggest antagonist, The Witness, to reverting back to older, smaller villains apart of a story that needs to progress beyond The Witness and to the bigger story/antagonist he refers exists
wow did this and it back fired on them, you need to build up to the big bad again.
This is such a weird question, we spent 2 years dealing with this guy
that doesn't make everything else irrelevant.
We stopped the biggest nuke ever
but a hand grenade will kill us still just the same
🤷♂
This sort of thing has been going on since d1 for example oryx to siva/devil splicers
One big issue-they should have brought back treasure keys as super rare drops for a super chest at the end
Would have been better for them to experiment with things before they were short staffed
I came back during Into The Light, bought The Final Shape & the seasons and I can’t bring myself to play it
Exactly, good activity to play here and there but i cant get myself grinding like i used to. Seems like im not the only one.
Destiny just isn’t Destiny anymore
yeah its destiny 2
I only buy seasons if I feel like it and right now, I don’t believe I should pay $12 for this or whatever it costs now. I have mainly been hearing negative feedback on this activity so I find your take surprising but given the split, I just don’t feel sure about it.
Brawn isn't a bad modifier but it's easy to work around
Paul Tassi here with another video to complain about Destiny 2.
I liked it!!
The weapon chase in Destiny doesn’t exist anymore thats why for myself I don’t care to play anymore, all weapons are a form of ability synergies now where abilities are the main draw and weapons really don’t matter as long as it has incandescent, one of the void perks and volt shot then it doesn’t matter what the weapon actually is
I can't even hardly be bothered because the loot chase isn't doing it this episode. Three drip fed weapons after waiting six weeks? Nah
You have to work for your loot, the entire point behind destiny being a looter shooter 🙀
only thing i agree with is the lack of crafting. it was such a poor decision
I'd rather need 10-15-20 red borders for a weapon instead of grinding for dozens of hours for a chance of getting a good weapon.
but th rez tokens and modifiers? yeah no, even with those if you're half decent you'll do the entire thing flawless.
@@Golet234-2 I mean gang we are playing a looter shooter, and rng has been the identity behind destiny for 10 years
The Tomb Tonics are so fucking dumb.
I cant believe they didn't even bring the old weapons back from prison of elders, I was looking forward to the shadow of veils sniper rifle
This and the fact that we have future guns already in the API that you can see like months in advance is what tends to kill new loot for me. I'm just not surprised at all by the new guns.
Yeah like I got a little excited when I saw vintage weapon in the tonic but I’ve already seen everything on light gg, they had another 6 weeks to develop this there’s no way they couldn’t have brought them back
I’m not really feeling the loot.
Nothing really jumps out over anything else to use, which kinda reduces the want to play prison.
I was able to play a bit and then servers went down. I guess it will be better.
Were not gonna talk about how eramis could teleport all that time but chose to stay in? Is it that hard to create friendly ai after youve done it 20 years ago?
This thing SUCKS vs. the Coil! I’m only doing it when made to, otherwise I could care less. ZERO FUN factor or rewards worth repeating it.
"Um, counterpoint: you're a terrorist."
She joined the Witness and turned all of Rasputin's guns on the Traveller.
The passion in this man’s voice crazy. Paul if you are this apathetic about the game, why even bother?
I don't care much about the loot this season/episode/act..
Boring and half baked , its just empty rooms ..... and now got to traverse and ruined flow activity, no middle fort in arenas no walls or cover , and no loot to farm , maybe people who have not played poe might find it ok but this was a terrible remake of a activity, no burning floor modifiers and all the other creative environmental hazards .... calling it a re imagined poe was a awfull decision and a disservice.... kinda shamefull they had all this time and this was product we got .... cheap , uninspired , and zero craftsmanship in map design ... in fear of sounding like a hater ill just leave it at that
The only villain that woulda been a cool redeem was calus but no we get this popsicle we shoulda jus smashed
Only thing that sucked was the people. People left.
lol I don’t get the hate with the tonic system. As a first pass on ways to target loot and ability boosters it is a good system. Sure you have to remember to activate them. But the potential of a system like this is limitless. Y’all are bugging
I hate it to confusing
Dude your followers hate destiny 2 but stay and listen to your opinion. Salty vibes here.
There isn't any good. Its pretty much all bad.
This activity isn't it.
really? how come? Surprising

Lmao
its the same thing with POE why someone gonna run it for mid tier loot ?
@ This episode’s content is literally indefensible. “Wow I got two new guns I already knew were coming in a rehashed game mode”
i don't get the hate for the story i'm not playing rn but i genuinely like it from everything i've seen, and why are you acting like we've had a ton of "redemption arcs" or something over a decade now and we've had 2, 3 if you desperately count crow who isn't actual uldren so not really a redemption, and not counting him leaves only savathicc and now maybe eramis, am I missing something here? cause thats a lot more interesting then the dozens of go to big bad and kill them before the mcguffin kills all imo
More like Tomb of Elders NO.
Alright.
It's a seasonal activity, alright. And the story stuff is just... bland AF.
Idk about all of yall but I love this. It’s nice and cool it’s definitely much better than only doing onslaught for the season( not saying onslaught is bad , just hated how long it took)
wow this game is still alive? they are really trying to milk the dead horse here.
There is clearly no more room for innovation to this game. It is time for players to demand a new destiny.
