This is a minor optimization, but Alloy Mag is the way to go now on SMGs and Sidearms. They chew through their magazines so quickly that even the most compulsive reloaders like myself still dump the full mag or close to it, and Alloy Mag works on a sliding scale now, boosting the reload further as you get closer to zero. And since it's a scalar itself, not flat stats, it scales really well with any stat bumps you give the weapon elsewhere. It beats out the other mag perks by a good bit IMO, especially in cases where you don't want additional mag size, such as an Attrition Orbs roll.
when did the scalar change happen? if it speeds up the reload as you get closer to the bottom of the magazine, that’s GOATed and the literal suggestion I had to fix alloy for like 4 years LOL.
@@adhirgcould be misremembering, but I recall my sidearm from the new season had Alloy on it and I noticed the updated text. Had to have dropped at least a week ago, too.
You don’t like jolting feedback on the pulse cuz u constantly show content in low level lost sectors❗️😂😂😂 That pulse is absolutely cracked in GM’s & end game activity❗️
Unrelenting, Loose Change (off ANY debuff btw not just jolting), and Attrition Orbs are all great pairs with Jolting. IMO if you really need reload speed for a weapon to feel good then definitely go Loose Change. If you want to use Unrelenting or Attrition you have 2 options. Option 1: Use Flared magwell with a reload speed MW. Option 2: Use Alloy Mag. Alloy Mag is a scalar and will boost your reload speed passed cap regardless of what MW or perk you pair it with. The only time Flared magwell is better is if you're reloading at the top half of your mag or you paired it with a reload MW. Even with the MW if you end up using Loose Change then Alloy Mag is going to be much better.
I will say this as another commentor mentioned, Alloy Mag is the way to go on this weapon. Alloy Mag provides a 0.9x Reload Speed scalar at 50% of its magazine (13/26 at base magazine size) which gives you ever so slightly more reload speed than Flared Magwell; this isnt even accounting for the fact it scales down from there and at an empty mag, Alloy Mag gives a 0.8x Scalar. With a Reload Speed Masterwork in mind, you're looking at a 1.80s reload time at 50% magazine size with Alloy Mag (1.73s at Empty) VS a 1.82s reload time with Flared Magwell and when you account for the fact that Jolting Feedback and Attrition Orbs requires you to shoot more than 50% of the magazine ANYWAY to get it going, you can see why it may very well be the best magazine for the job. If you have Flared Magwell instead of Alloy, dont really worry about it cus its more of a nitpick if anything and doesnt really affect your day to day usage of the gun but if you're like me and you want all the bells and whistles, Alloy Mag is 100% the play here. That's all from me, love the content!
Attrition orbs and jolting feedback make sense as this weapon is made for add clear. No reason to worry about reloading. Dark Ether Reaper reloads for you, and overflows. Focus efforts on other stats and masterworks. All of the arc artifact mods this season will add a lot to builds as well. This smg may not be so hot in future seasons/episodes, but in Revenant this thing fucks.
I don’t think it’s better than on the pulse just because it’s full auto, it’s just because all 3 jolting feedback primaries have very similar requirements to proc it, but the ar and smg are 600rpm, while the pulse is 390. If they put jolting on a 540 pulse, it’d probably feel a lot better, even though it still isn’t full auto. It’s just a kinetic tremors situation all over again, where all archetypes within a weapon type share the same hits to proc, so faster firing weapons within the weapon type just do a lot better
the AR and this smg have a different amount of rounds to proc the jolt due to mag size. the ar mag is like 50+ and this one is in the 20+ rounds meaning the smg takes less shots to proc. and as far as the pulse goes it, may only take 3-4 bursts. which isn't that bad
Enhanced Thresh in 3rd gives 1.33% super perk kill, opposed to enhanced Attrition Orbs giving 1.1% roughly perk mag... for super regen Thresh is better and run an Arc Syphon mod for Orb gen 👍
Do people not realize attrition orbs can proc other things? The perk really isn’t for super regen but for surges or leg mods and certain orb related fragments
@@thegregster3808 Yes... people do realise. With the roaming super changes and talking about what was being highlighted in the vid (super regen), Thresh has more value with a syphon mod in the majority of content.
As much as I like attrition orbs if utilizing jolting feedback I’d rather have rewind rounds since overloads need a good amount of sustained damage to stun
you can shoot multiple targets and still get jolt from jolting feedback since it's based off bullets fired, and with the origin trait of these weapons you can shoot forever without reloading and still jolt. idk why bungie keeps trying to make loose change work, i would rather run unrelenting or pugilist or thresh or something
People still run Unrelenting + Incan on the Calus Minitool. Imo Unrelenting is still nice. A single orange/yellow bar procs it on a single kill otherwise it's 3 red bars and you get an instant 70hp as well as kickstarted health regen. Imo is perfectly fine to use.
Very nice weapon, but I’d take the Dungeon Auto over this gun every day of the week. With a magazine of around 60 and the same rate of fire, it just feels so much nicer with jolting feedback. On the Auto I only managed to get Fragile Focus, Jolting Feedback (which is arguably the worst Jolting feedback roll), but after comparing it to my loose change, Jolting Feedback SMG I still like the auto way more.
@@Cinderchar the ONLY primary in the game actually worth running on its own is sunshot or a shoot to loot gun with ep and it isnt even CLOSE.
