As I have been working on this project for almost 3+ years now alongside my colleagues this major achievement means the world to me and the Destination Home Team as official firmware "OFW" support was one of our primary goals for the community. If you have been keeping in tune with the scene lately you will know that an official update to the PlayStation 3 system software was released on 05/10/22. As this was an issue of concern, we ensured that our PlayStation Home client will be compatible with the latest Sony Official Firmware as we know we will have users who will want to play on original hardware. We are working hard on getting our final infrastructure ready for a beta release soon, however, there is no concrete release date for an initial launch. Note this does not include rewards as users will have to earn them again. Additionally, you have to take in account that my PS3 has an HDD and not an SSD, so that does aid in load times as well. So much nostalgia and I love it. All I remember is just messing around in the studio moving around furniture or just messing around and downloading all the packs for cosmetics. So cool seeing all this stuff once again soo many years down the line, all I have to say is thank the project team for working on this

Hi man, i would like to ask if is there a chance to recover the Data of PlayStation home? I deleted it long time ago but if it possible to recover it, I wanna do it and share it with your team.
Sadly if you deleted it's probably long gone. However, if you come across a used PS3 on sites like eBay or Mecari or just any used marketplace that sells PS3 with the Home icon. You can buy those systems, and dump the data from them which in turn helps us restore content for online. Of course, this is purely optional Luis. Hopes this helps!
@@Luisirix Nah the data, would be gone. As you just re-installing the Home application. Any cache data that was saved on your HDD was gone when you deleted it.

Yeah, I was reading that in the other comments, I'm trying to boot my old PS3, the one that still has PS Home installed, but I'm having the 8002F1F9 error when booting it :( The WiFi and Bluetooth board doesn't work 😓

Sadly that is not possible. As Home was a native PS3 app. However you can play Home on RPCS3.
