I'd bought the same nail polish thinner from Sally Beauty Supply (along with a set of dotting tools and other things) for an old, thickened bottle of Street Wear polish to rescue/restore it. Good to know that the same bottle can be used for base and top coats too!
Cleaning the neck of the bottle of your mascara extends the life and prevents it from drying out, too! (Use makeup remover rather than acetone though). And I love the half bottle trick! Definitely will be doing that. x
Your original video of using the nail polish thinner literally saved me!!! Best product ever, highly recommend buying if you want to save your polish. Also, someone from the Holo Taco team suggested I could use it in my basecoat and topcoat, and it worked super well! Seriously y'all, spend a few bucks on it, it's SO worth it. 💕💅🏻
I always have a problem reaching the bottom of my nail polishes and they get thick and gloopy. I've been subscribed since the nail polish 101 video and hooked since then since I love your personality and the fact that you show swatches on short nails. 💜
i’ve been using nail polish thinner for awhile, but i’m always nervous about using too much to revitalize my bottles. for some reason watching you combine the two bottles had me thinking “maybe i should compare this too-thick polish to a new polish and go from there.” i finally got this old bottle of nail envy for sensitive nails working. ❤️ awesome video.
Great tips. I'm guilty of putting nail polish remover in my polish (years ago before I knew better). The actual thinner works so much better. I've also tried to get into the habit of cleaning the necks of my nail polish bottles each time I use them - of course BEFORE I start my mani LOL.
This is such a fantastic video and I want to thank you for showing it to us! There was one thing I noticed that has given me a problem in the past. When you cleaned your bottle threads, you did it with a cotton ball. While this gets the job done, I noticed on your bottle the same thing that I get if I use a cotton ball for this purpose. Fluff. Cotton strands. They stick to the bottle neck and then get attached to the cap when you put on the cap. This has been a problem for me because those little threads can get pulled inside of the product and make their way to the brush. I've had a cotton ball leave so much fluff that I had it in the polish every time I used it. And we all know what a nuisance it is to have to get a piece of fluff out of a top coat especially. To avoid this problem I don't use cotton balls. I use those makeup rounds they sell for removing eye makeup. Those don't shed nearly as many fluff threads. If they do leave a couple it's easy to pull them off before you put the cap back on the bottle. You can avoid fluff altogether if you use a makeup sponge to clean off the bottle threads. They are cheap and it's easy to set one aside in a ziploc with your manicure kit. Both makeup rounds and sponges are better than cotton balls. If you go back and look at the video you'll see how many fluff threads are stuck to the bottle after using the cotton ball to clean it. I'm not trying to upstage you; I just wanted to share my method for getting a cleaner cleanup of the threads. Everything else in this video is perfect. Thank you for taking the time to teach us!
I will definitely have to try combining my top coat bottles! I've thrown a few away because they got too low and/or gloopy. Also, I'm so glad I found your channel because I probably would have never know about the thinner. I've saved half a dozen bottles that I've had for years and love the colors so much I just didn't want to throw them away. 😄
This absolutely does work, and the Sally Beauty thinner is amazing! I also love Seche Vite’s thinner. It costs a little bit more, but I love that it uses a dropper.
Omg! I need this and I've not seen any videos about it! Only for the colored polishes. I recently bought an indie nail polish but the top and base coats were too thick and gloopy even if they're new. I'll try this trick! You're awesome Kelli!
I wasn't sure if thinner was going to ruin my base and top coats, so thanks for the tips! This will help me to extend the life of the Poshe super fast drying top coat, it tends to be gloopy after 6 months of use. If I combine this video with your advice to avoid shrinking, I'll get the perfect manicure 😄
I use Seche Restore when stuff gets too gloppy. I've had one bottle the size of nail polish since 2010.. and it's still mostly full. :) also if the bottles get too hard to twist open, wrap a thicker rubber band around the lid. It helps give you a better grip to twist the lid off.
I had a big problem with my Holo Taco top coat and they recommended thinner. I was just surprised at how fast that particular polish evaporated. I'll be picking some up from my local beauty store as drug stores don't have thinner. I would definitely be a water bender. I relate HEAVILY on that aspect lol! I think I would be pretty good at it too :D (guess we will never know!!)
@@jenniferserena1416 I had to toss 2 bottles... It just doesn't make sense to spend that much if I have to doctor it up every couple times I used it. I'll probably look for another top coat in the long run though.
Never tried the holo taco topcoat, but they have been hit or miss on the other products. I love Essie good to go. It dries super fast and is sold in stores all over.
Thank you. I just realised my glossy taco was thicker and I do indeed have dried product and needs cleaning off. So helpful I will get the thinner this week. Now I just need to figure out how to stop slicing my nails at the sides! I definitely have stronger nails since trying to keep them coated.
Thank you so much! I had heard to add acetone to gloopy polishes, but never did it because it kinda didn't make sense to me, but I didn't really know why. I love your idea on saving the bottle once you've used 1/2 of it & combining a fresh half. It has always seemed like such a huge waste. I've tossed a ton of half empty bottles because I get sick of fighting with them due to the gloop & inability to get a sufficient amount out of the bottle. Thank you for the info! I love this series.
Hi Kelli, I love the variety of your videos and the fact that I can look forward to three videos per week, even if there are no new nail polish collections to review that particular week. There are definitely dry spells between releases, but I always know that you'll have something for me to watch that's fun, creative, positive, and informative. Thank you!!
I'm so happy to hear it! :) It's always exciting at the beginning of the season with new releases but I love sharing so much more haha so I'm glad you enjoy the other content too 😜❤️
I just looked this up because I'm having this problem. I didn't think about combining the nail polish bottles, that would really help because my paintbrush can't reach the polish at the bottom of the bottle. Thank you for your tips :-) Also, I have nail polish thinner but I wasn't sure if this was the right thing to do. I also like your technique for rolling the bottle so it doesn't get bubbles! Thank you
This couldn't have dropped at a more perfect time!!!! I bought a name grandchild coat a few months ago that is so gross, my manicures are being ruined! I can't thank you enough!!!!!
I had this issue the other day, and I know you always said to never add nail polish remover or acetone to nail polishes..I actually did 😆 Thanks for these new tips 😆 Never heard of the thinner before! And I'll check the Amazon live too! 😁
Did they still work in the long run? I’m wanting to combine Brands because they are way too low in the bottle to reach with the brush or to use even with thinner
@@bleeka325 yes I was wearing them for 5 to 7 days at a go. It helped thin the herd of surplus mostly empty bottles and had given me 3 bottles that I was selective to get the brush tips I like and yea I mixed them and gave them a good shake. I'm thru every one of those bottles now and mixing as I go now so I don't get tons of half empty bottles.
@@mobuckey Okay, I want in on this nail polish bending too. Nail polish has to have some water in it, right? Between that & blood bending, we'd be unstoppable!😂
YESSS THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I've been asking the internet this and it won't answer!!! I agree that acetone does not work. I had my ONLY holo glitter polish and I absolutely adored it, so of course I wanted to save it. I was so happy when I first tried it and it worked, but soon saw that the polish became weirdly lumpy and barely holo at all. I would love to be a waterbender but I feel like my personality would 100% be an airbender.
I've also seen your first restore video, I have not had luck at all with nail thinner. I tried it on some holo taco linear polish because that nail polish brand is so thick fresh out the box but after a couple of uses, appropriate care/storage of the polish it is THE WORST! I followed instructions and it made the polish slightly thicker and dulled it completely!
It seems that people across the board have issues with adding thinner to Holo Taco specifically, I'm not sure why that is but they must have a different formulation than regular polishes!
You are the top coat/base coat/nail polish savior! I kept wondering WHY my Seche Vite quick dry top coat kept getting gloopy so fast. I figured I wasn't putting the top back on tightly enough. I must get some nail polish thinner right away, or, pour my old bottle into my new bottle. Thank you!!
Seche Vite actually has their own thinner called Seche Restore you might want to look into! It contains toluene so you can't use it in 3-free polishes but I believe I'll fix SV better than this brand I'm using!
Omg I just ordered the cuccio base and top coat because I hear you talk a lot about them and I can’t wait to try them 😁 hopefully polish lasts longer with them
I love your advice! You're one of my go to, how to people from the start of my nail polish addiction! Haha, I tell people it's my hobby, because it really is! Love all of your content! Thank you so much for all your help with my "Hobby" !❣👍💅
Love that u also said "regular remover" as well. I have pure acetone but not use often on my nails. Got into a huge Facebook argument bcoz everyone was arguing pure acetone is the best and only thing to use for everything 🤦♀️🤦♀️
Also I like to clean the neck of the bottle after I’m done using it with a napkin. And there’s this method I found on Instagram a while back that you could cut up stripes of cotton or napkins and then put it in between the neck of the bottle and the lid and then twist back-and-forth with acetone on it and you don’t have to use a Q-tip but these are just things I do ❤️ Thanks for the tips ❤️ I actually used to have a nail polish thinner that had acetone in it apparently someone told me once and then up to recently I got the Sally beauty one... I still have my older one just as a back up. I rarely use either though. ❤️
😂 I have that same bottle of thinner and like you, mine's lasted YEARS! Nowhere close to being empty. I actually have tried the acetone in nail polish, but lucky for me, it was with an old bottle of polish I was planning on getting rid of anyway since it was so old that it wasn't even 3-free. 👀 Tried it for science and yeah, good thing I didn't do it on a good bottle, because it would have completely ruined it. Also, Avatar: the last Airbender is fantastic! Watched it for the first time within the last month of or. Never watched it for some reason when it originally came out, but glad I finally got to see it! 😀 If I could be a bender, definitely fire. Fire fascinates me in general. Water is a close second.
I get frustrated when the last bit of topcoat can’t be reached by the brush. I usually save this and tip it into a new bottle with a bit of thinner as I hate wasting topcoat. I also am pretty militant about wiping the bottle neck of all my polishes as this can so easily stop the bottle closing (especially with glitters) and dry up the polish. How many times have I nearly cried when someone says they had to throw a lovely polish away because “it went bad and dried up” thinner is an absolute lifesaver. Fab video! Love from Scotland 🏴 💕💕
I do the same things!! That’s so cool lol, some of them I figured out on my own and haven’t heard of anyone else doing before. After seeing your original polish restoring video, I got that same thinner on sale and it was so cheap, but I have used it multiple times for almost every one of my 100+ polishes and every top coat I’ve gotten since and still looks untouched ❤️ this also reminded me I need to thin out my top coat a little bit lol I love how thorough your videos are, too ❤️ If I could choose, I would definitely be a fire bender!!!!! But that’s just because I’m obsessed with fire, water bending is still so cool to me and is one of my favorites to watch them actually do in the show
Thank you! This was super helpful, and I will probably be using both methods, eventually. Plus, this video reminded me that I may want to check over my polishes for cleaning! 😁
I don’t know why I never thought about trying to revive older bottles that’ve glooped up!! THANK YOU! I unfortunately looked this up right after I put a drop off acetone into an old fav..💔 But all the rest are gonna be saved if possible!! Thank you thank you thank you!!🤘🤘
And I think I’d wanna be a Fire Bender but… I guess it would depend on what world I was in, like my in the avatar world or am I in our current reality type world? If it was our current reality, I think I would choose fire but if it was in the avatar world then probably water.❤️🔥🤷♂️
Same here :( i had to put so much thinner in it that it ruined it. Now when I apply it, the tips of my nails dry matt... so random. I guess I ruined the formula by putting too much thinner in. But it was unusable!!
Girl same. That, paired with the shipping costs, I’ve just switched to Seche Vite. It’s so readily available in stores, and it thins out decently well.
I also do both of these. In fact when I have a couple (or a few) bottom of the bottle polishes I think would look good together, I mix them into one to get a "new" polish. Oh, and I also purchase stainless steel bb's to add to help mixing. Cheaper than polish mixing balls and work just as well.
I am working through ATLA for the first time. I'm teetering between Air and Earth bending as my preferred option. Water bending is OP though. LITERALLY just learned about *THAT* dark-side power
I'm curious if you have any other tips on how to be more environmentally friendly when doing your nails? E.g. how to reuse empty bottles? How to dispose of acetone? Any ingredients that are especially "not green"? Is there any reusable substitute for cotton pads? (You used to make videos about peel-off nail polish -- is that still around?) I know that doing my nails is not a very environmentally conscious hobby, but I'm on the lookout for ways to improve 😅 thanks so much for all your great content!
I don't know the answer to a lot of your questions, but you can definitely still buy peel-off base coats!! I've got the UNT Ready for Takeoff, I believe that's the most commonly used one. I don't think it's an automatical environmental friendly option though, you save acetone and cotton pads, but the manicure doesn't last as long, which means you'll use more nail polish in the long run (if you don't want naked nails). But that's something you'll have to consider yourself...
I too would be interested in such a video I tried replacing cotton pads with reusable ones, but that just didn’t work for me, I did however look up acatone the other day and it recommended if there was not too much and you have no pets to put it outside in the sun and let it evaporate. I couldn’t do that though, although I don’t have pets I’m an animal lover and I’d be devastated to kill any wildlife that might wander into my garden and mistake it for water.
Is that the new ILNP Wicked collection out of focus in the background? Is there a swatch and review coming? The people need to know Kelli!!! Hype for Halloween this year is serious🎃
Hey Kelli! I just tried the first method on my old holo taco top coat but even after adding a lot of thinner it still is stringy! 😔Any suggestions? Btw I use the same brand as you did ;)
I haven't tried it on Holo Taco yet but I've heard others have the same issue. I'm not sure why it wouldn't work though, maybe their ingredients are different enough that it requires something else as well? I did put thinner in the white polish by them and thankfully it helped a bit haha.
Is it the glossy taco or the super glossy taco? If it's the regular glossy taco, it just needs a ton of thinner, I had the same problem and added a whole bunch to it and it's great now! If it's the super glossy taco I think it needs a thinner with toluene in it, too, because that formula contains toluene.
If a top coat has toluene in the ingredients then you might want to use a thinner that also has toluene... seche restore has worked well for me with my holo taco super glossy taco
@@eponinesg Tbh I don't understand why there's two. Why would someone want just a glossy taco if a super glossy one is available lol. Are they for different purposes?
Such great advise!!! I need my top coat clear polish pristine to keep my toys' and figures' joints tight for those dynamic display positions Thank you!!!!!
While I can't say I need this advice yet, it's good to have! I've only really recently introduced base and top coat into my life so I don't have any old base or top coat yet!
I already do those things, but yet watched the whole video anyway. The one time I had the acetone in polish work for me was when I was trying to clean out a bottle of old polish that was almost empty and completely dry. It actually brought it back enough to get a few more manicures out of it.

I am kicking myself! I literally just threw away my Cirque glass top coat a couple weeks ago because it was so thick and I didn't know what to do with it. Now I do, though, so thank you!
I do the half and half too! Have since I started painting my nails. Very slowly I’ve been able to update my old essies with the new brushes they now have with this method.

Using a makeup sponge is a good idea. Cotton won't leave bits on the bottle if it is completely soaked in polish remover.
Ooh yay I'm glad I could help 😁
Ooh yeah I have Seche Restore for my seche vite too! It's good stuff!
Seche Restore is my go-to, as well. It lasts forever and Seche Vite is the only topcoat I use.
Same issue with my Holo Taco topcoat. I've only used it about 4 times. Hopefully this can salvage it.
@@jenniferserena1416 I had to toss 2 bottles... It just doesn't make sense to spend that much if I have to doctor it up every couple times I used it. I'll probably look for another top coat in the long run though.
Yeah, I'm at 2/3 thinner, 1/3 top coat. It's still gloopy and not usable. I do not get the love.
Same. It started get gloopy for me after one manicure. Not impressed.
Thank you so much Kelli... My top coat goes thick and gloopy overtime and I end up throwing that... Now I have a solution... Sending much love ❤❤❤❤
I had this issue the other day, and I know you always said to never add nail polish remover or acetone to nail polishes..I actually did 😆
Thanks for these new tips 😆
Never heard of the thinner before!
And I'll check the Amazon live too! 😁
I love the trick of combining top coat bottles! Been doing for quite some time now and it works like a charm!
Love the video as usual, Kelli!
I have 10 bottles of top coat from various brands and started mixing them and it worked out okay. Ultimately I have 3 full bottles now 😊
Did they still work in the long run? I’m wanting to combine Brands because they are way too low in the bottle to reach with the brush or to use even with thinner
@@bleeka325 yes I was wearing them for 5 to 7 days at a go. It helped thin the herd of surplus mostly empty bottles and had given me 3 bottles that I was selective to get the brush tips I like and yea I mixed them and gave them a good shake. I'm thru every one of those bottles now and mixing as I go now so I don't get tons of half empty bottles.
@@mae1813 thank you for this! I’m going to go ahead and combine all mine
I am struggling with this right now, what a coincidence you posted this video when I needed it.
I’m going to pretend to be a water bender when I combine two bottles of topcoat later 🌊💅🏻😻 some life changing tips right here.
LOL okay now I want to change my answer to nail polish bender 😂
Kelli Marissa I would finally be able to paint my nails without flooding my cuticles 😂
@@mobuckey Okay, I want in on this nail polish bending too. Nail polish has to have some water in it, right? Between that & blood bending, we'd be unstoppable!😂
Amazing
YESSS THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I've been asking the internet this and it won't answer!!! I agree that acetone does not work. I had my ONLY holo glitter polish and I absolutely adored it, so of course I wanted to save it. I was so happy when I first tried it and it worked, but soon saw that the polish became weirdly lumpy and barely holo at all.
I would love to be a waterbender but I feel like my personality would 100% be an airbender.
I've got a top coat right now that I added acetone to before I knew this. Still works perfectly.
I purchased Nail Polish Thinner on Kelli's advice... smart!!
For Seche Vite you have to use their brand’s specific thinner!
From what people are saying about the way Holo Taco super glossy goes, it sounds like it might be a similar formula to Seche Vite.
@@miss_jess it's acting like it. Shrinking on my nail. Crazy gloppy. But it doesn't smell.
What might happen if I use the opi thinner on seche vite? One ingredient is the same, one is different.
@@katiepare9685 you're probably gonna ruin your Seche Vite
@@katiepare9685 I think it's missing the toulene and that might affect the consistency of seche vite
@@KelliMarissa oh wow! Thank you for telling me this! 😘
Omg I just ordered the cuccio base and top coat because I hear you talk a lot about them and I can’t wait to try them 😁 hopefully polish lasts longer with them
I didn't get notified for this vid last week, so glad it popped up. I've been wondering if I could put my thinner in my top coat, thank you so much! 🙌
oh yes i love the idea of waterbending. i’ve dreamed about it a lot haha. it just speaks to me
I love your advice!
This was super helpful because I love my TC and I want to get the most out of it.
I was looking for a video to watch lol thanks for coming through at the right time Kelli! 🤩
I was reading your mind 😂😂😂
I do the same things!! That’s so cool lol, some of them I figured out on my own and haven’t heard of anyone else doing before. After seeing your original polish restoring video, I got that same thinner on sale and it was so cheap, but I have used it multiple times for almost every one of my 100+ polishes and every top coat I’ve gotten since and still looks untouched ❤️ this also reminded me I need to thin out my top coat a little bit lol
I love how thorough your videos are, too ❤️
If I could choose, I would definitely be a fire bender!!!!!
THANK YOU! I unfortunately looked this up right after I put a drop off acetone into an old fav..💔
But all the rest are gonna be saved if possible!!
Would you recommend combining different brands together? Thanks for this informative video.💜
Your gloopy top coat application still looks better than mine 😂 Thanks for this!
Lol I was actually thinking it looks better with the nice lights than it did in real life 😂😂😂
In my Holo Taco, I'm at 2/3 thinner, 1/3 polish and it's still unusable gloop.
Yeah I'm pretty sad at how quickly my Holo Taco gooped up
Same here :( i had to put so much thinner in it that it ruined it.
@@shannonisjustlovely I love seche vite but it definitely needs seche restore once in awhile.
What thinner are you using?
I also do both of these. In fact when I have a couple (or a few) bottom of the bottle polishes I think would look good together, I mix them into one to get a "new" polish. Oh, and I also purchase stainless steel bb's to add to help mixing. Cheaper than polish mixing balls and work just as well.
I am working through ATLA for the first time. I'm teetering between Air and Earth bending as my preferred option.
Water bending is OP though. LITERALLY just learned about *THAT* dark-side power
It's as if you were reading my mind... Literally spent 2 hours Googling this on Saturday!!!
Thinner is SO WORTH IT! Love it. :)
I always reuse the essie topcoat brush to replace it with the old essie skinny brush.
I would love a Nail Polish 102 video on choosing polishes for a skittles manicure.
I do the same exact thing with my tops coats when they get halfway. So much easier.
Is that the new ILNP Wicked collection out of focus in the background? Is there a swatch and review coming? The people need to know Kelli!!!
Hype for Halloween this year is serious🎃
It dose look like it
I had the same problem with holo tacos top coats as well! Not sure why but mid bottle it always gets stringy and gloopy
Fabulous!! I didn't know if I could use thinner for base and top coat, good to know!!
I use the second method a lot, except I mix brands because usually I have about 3 top coats open, so I just combine them when they are running low :)
Such great advise!!! I need my top coat clear polish pristine to keep my toys' and figures' joints tight for those dynamic display positions
Thank you!!!!!
1-I just got fed a loud ad at the beginning of your video. LOOOOOVE THAT.
2- I love the new hair too!
Ahh that's annoying, I'm sorry it happened! I wish we could control the ads that get shown :/
No no, I like actually love it. Lmao. I’m @loudbabbs on insta.
I'm so dumb I thought you meant LOUD volume ads 😂😂😂
While I can't say I need this advice yet, it's good to have! I've only really recently introduced base and top coat into my life so I don't have any old base or top coat yet!
I already do those things, but yet watched the whole video anyway. The one time I had the acetone in polish work for me was when I was trying to clean out a bottle of old polish that was almost empty and completely dry. It actually brought it back enough to get a few more manicures out of it.
Man! I did not know!😲 All those base coats ruined😫
Thanks for the tips I might jus get addicted to this channel.
Thanks for making this video, Kelli! I watched this one as well as HOW TO RESTORE OLD NAIL POLISH. Thanks to you I went out to Sally Beauty this afternoon to pick up a bottle of nail polish thinner! Could you do a video going into more about how to not knick up painted nails so fast. Everytime I do my nails I accidently ruin the paint job.
I am kicking myself! I literally just threw away my Cirque glass top coat a couple weeks ago because it was so thick and I didn't know what to do with it. Now I do, though, so thank you!
Ahh well at least you know for the future now!!!
This was very helpful! Thank you.
Hey Kelli! This video is super helpful. I'm definitely gonna combine my bottles of top coat from now on.
Yep, I use that same brand of thinner, and I've had it forever. Works well.
I do the half and half too! Have since I started painting my nails. Very slowly I’ve been able to update my old essies with the new brushes they now have with this method.
Great tips! Your 101 videos have been so relatable to me lately, very helpful.
Did you ever find out about that beauty contest? I don't remember hearing anything.
I followed you when I watched the last Amazon live but I never got a notification this time and missed your video. 😔
They actually did post the results on the sally beauty website, but I'm not allowed to say it yet haha! And ugh that's frustrating, I think it's just because the livestreaming program is so new they're probably still working out the bugs but I'll be sure to post the links on all my social medias so hopefully you can see it haha!
Yes! Needed this. Love the cuccio (on your recommendation), but mine has gotten super gloopy.
Yeah mine gloops up too! But thinner fixes it and it feels like a brand new bottle haha!
I love this trick so much, i use the seche vite polish thinner to thin out all my polish, but i am going to buy the other one from Sally's. I also try to keep my polish in a cool dry and dark place to keep it from getting so thick and gloopy. Also can you make an updated cuticle care video? I am curious about how to care for my cuticles without hurting myself.
Just found your channel and love it! I did nail art years ago and I just recently pulled out all 200 bottles of polish/top coat/base coat that I have. They're all still in good shape ( I tested them all) and Im wondering if base coat/top coat goes bad after 5 or 6 years? Not sure if I should toss it and buy new stuff. Any advice on that? Maybe you cover this in a video that I haven't seen. Thanks!
Water bending...YES! I've watched a lot of Avatar with my sons and always thought it would be amazing to be a water bender because you're also a healer. I'm obsessed with water also. Just looking at bodies of water (even my neighbor's pool) is so calming. Great for anxiety.
I can totally see you being a water bender! You're just so chill, I think you'd be really good at it. I'd want to be an earth bender. I'm not sure why, I can just see myself doing that for some reason haha
Great informational video! I would also like to see a video about how to dispose of half finished or finished nail polish bottles.
Hi, I have look all over for a fix for UV/LED gel polish thinner. Mine has gotten thick. Solutions or Products that can help, I would appreciate your help.
Just a quick note love your channel and your content. Your videos had been so helpful I really enjoy your content.
Thanks for the suggestions and help.
Yay!!! Needed this!!!
Yesss hope it helps!!
I actually clean the threads of my polish bottle after each mani and the base and top coat every other mani or so because I'm a freak :P I do love the idea of mixing two half bottles of base or top, if I ever stop trying new ones I will definitely have to try that out!
I have about 6 half-full bottles of SH InstaDri, gonna try it and see if it still works the same way a fresh bottle does. TY, Kelli.
i’m so glad you do the livestreams 11am eastern time so for me it’s at a time i can watch (in the afternoon) 😂😂
This video came at the perfect time! It's like you knew that I was having trouble... Lol. Today is my 9-year olds birthday and she requested that I use Sally Hansen insta dri Jelly Belly birthday cake nail polish but it is so thick that I was having such a hard time with it. I am on my way out to Sally's Beauty Supply to go pick up some of this thinner! Perfect timing for this video... LOL
Haha wow that really is perfect timing! Remember to start with only a few drops, I hate when I accidentally put too much in and then the polish feels like water lol
Thank you for all the tips, tricks, nail art and rewiews. Can you make a video about "problem nails" and if it is possible to fix it? My nails split all the time, and my friens nails are supersoft. And what is the difference between nail hardener and nail strenghtener? I have both as base coats but I am unsure when to use them. Thank you.
i’ve needed this! my sally hansen ones ALWAYS get gloopy the top coats and my defy and inspire base coat was getting bad... i was ready to throw them all out and replace them !! thank you
Ooh yeah it's a great way to restore those!
Thank you for the tips. I find this happens a lot with the Seche Vite top coats.
Have you done a comparison videos of base and top coats yet? Was looking around for it but i havent come across it from you yet. Would love to know more about your recommendations on the subject. 🥰
This was SO helpful! Thank you🙌🏼🥳 Also, has this ever happened to you? Can neon nail polish get darker and dull overtime?
It's funny I come across this video now because I've done both of these methods for a long time. Great minds think alike.
I needed this like 100 years ago. I used to put acetone in my polishes as a kid/teen lmao.
Oh noooooo lol!!
Great presentation. You are an artist. Love your hair.
Thank you so much!
