🦋 You are beYoutiful inside and out; I love you!
I just wanted to say that it was super nice of you to consider us super budget babes, and keeping it so kind, even when we were a little critical. Thank you for being so understanding! ❤😂🎉😊
Cassie we need SPF sprays for over makeup that’s non greasy 🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️
Ugh yessss. I tried a Coola spf setting spray and it was just awwwwwwful
Ditto
Cassandra needs to develop one and I would DEFINITELY buy it! I have dry skin (Sahara desert dry) and the last spay sunscreen I tried left even my skin looking greasy!
Garnier and Laroche Posay have these sprays 😅
Yes please recommend 😭
As someone who use a lot of minimalist products because that's what is available n affordable here, I feel so validated that the products I use are competing with international brands. It proves you don't have to spend a huge fortune to have a good skincare routine ❤️
So many good ones. Also the black girl sunscreen for kids is spf 50 and I believe under $10 for a pretty large amount
Omg yes. This is my fav sunscreen! So cheap and lasts about 2-3 weeks for me.
Yes this is my go to body spf!
What does kids sunscreen even mean? I'm 16...does that mean I can't use that?
@@katgreer6113 It doesn’t mean anything significant, it’s a marketing term. Sometimes it means it’s less cosmetically elegant cause kids don’t care, sometimes it means it’s less sensitizing and doesn’t have fragrance which is awesome for picky adults. Almost always it means it’s cheaper which is a win for me :)
@@katgreer6113 I’m 28 and I still use kids sunscreen on my body bc it’s usually cheaper lol
I don’t comment often but like your videos. Glad to see you take the feedback about affordable skincare in such a positive way
Love seeing budget friendly products across the board especially ones that work for ance prone skin. Thanks for doing this!
Yes girl!! Love the budget friendly spf!!! Pleaase mooore like this 🙌🏻
Cassandra's budget friendly skin care suggestions have saved my skin and my finances. 🤩
Once I started watching your videos, I got addicted! Your vibe is fantastic and the product reviews are so in detail! ❤❤
me running out of sunscreen, hopping up to search sunscreen on your channel but saw this on my homepage instead. beautiful timing 💜
My daughter works at Trader Joe's so employee discount 😊 The other too products look great too. I'm def on a budget, much appreciated 🌞🦋
The Trader Joe’s also broke me out. I will try the good molecules. Thank you ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Those nails are absolutely stunning
I just dropped another $50 at Stylevana for four bottles of sunscreen with next gen filters. I want to love US sunscreens just as much, but until they get on the ball and start making more filters available, I'll continue to shop overseas.
Amen sis!💗🦋💗🦋
Yep
Please share what you got and how it goes)
i don’t live in the US or Europe but i always choose European sunscreens. Australian ones would also be good as they’re very stringently regulated.
@@lasa1211 Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun (very nice when I'm running dry, and I think it actually reduces my redness somehow?), Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence (my all-time favorite, super light and reapplies easily even if you glob it on), Canmake Mermaid Skin Gel UV (very nice finish and great under makeup, but even tinier than facial sunscreens usually are), IsNtree HA Watery Sun Gel (nicely liquidy, which I like a lot, and dewy but not way too greasy), Scinic Enjoy Super Mild Sun Essence (insanely low price, haven't used it long enough to make any firm decisions but absolutely worth the cost), and Skin1004 Hyalu-Cica Water-Fit Sun Serum (very nice texture, love the pump).
I have used minimalist sunscreen it is a good product didnt cause any breakouts or irritation but it did sting my eyes and it does tend to turn milky and deposit in the neck crease if u sweat..but other than that i liked the texture and the glow it gives immediately after application, doesnt pill and is budget frndly.. For me the best product from the line is the vit b5 moisturizer, if u have oily acne prone skin u will love it..
I swear by the banana boat spf 50+ for babies. I grew frustrated with finding one that won’t sting my eyes and picked it up for my friend’s baby. I gave it a try and my face doesn’t break out and most importantly my eyes don’t sting.
That's the one I use in summer in the stick. Only one I've found that doesn't sting my eyes when I sweat outside all day. I'm 57 and oily, blemish/blackhead prone and doesn't break me out either.
I'll say this isn't a sunscreen I'd use under makeup not made for that.
Honestly kids sunscreens are the way to go if you have sensitive skin and/or eyes!!! I use Black Girl Sunscreen-Kids for myself(if i'm not wearing makeup) and my kids and never have an issue 😊
If i do decide to wear makeup i'll usually choose one of my more expensive sunscreens though
I would never have thought about it! :D Thanks for the suggestion! I'm going sunscreen hunting in the kid section now!
I purchased good molecules a few months ago when you recommended this sunscreen and to my surprise it was leaving a horrible white cast on my brown face I emailed customer support for an exchange and I got a quick response from customer service telling me to keep the product and they will give me a refund long story short I gave them a try without moisturizer and the results are incredible and I ended up with two free tubes of sunscreen 🤪🤪
I love the pipette baby sunscreen !!!
Girl thanks a lot for sharing ❤🎉
Thanks for this, but I was looking for mineral only sunscreen. ❤
All the sunscreen videos!!! 🎉🎉🎉SPF is your BFF. No Exemptions 🎉🎉
I am loving g the good molecules one on my second tube
The Hawaiian tropic weightless hydration lotion sunscreen is also pretty cheap (~9.99 USD). V lightweight, no white cast and has never given me breakouts (I have hormonal acne). It is scented but I don’t mind it.
I was just thinking about how you should recommend your favourite budget friendly sunscreens. Guess I need to turn my notifications on😂. On a good day, the only sunscreen that I love and wouldn’t mind spending $70 on it is the Elta MD sunscreen. My skin loves it and it doesn’t break me out ever.
I noticed the other day how much sunscreen I go through and I was so shocked. I feel like I am always opening a new face sunscreen. I have it stocked up but still 🤑
Please make a powdered sunscreen/spray sunscreen for people who wear makeup 😜 love your videos!
Hello Cassandra!!
Derma B Everyday Sunblock is like $20 for 7oz. Love it
I would love for you to try spf brands from all around the world. For example, here in Turkiye, we have some amazing (vegan & cf) brands, their prices in dollars or euros are soooooo much better than the amounts I hear and see in Europe or the US. Brands such as Soltis, Cosmed, Celenes, Ecowell, Solante, The New Lab, Doa Kozmetik, Syorell, Siroz are individually quite impressive - would want the world to discover them. (not sponsored !!!)
I'm good with trying and buying from other countries just not sure how prohibitive shipping to USA would be

I love your videos! I’m a swimmer, spend a lot of time gardening and hiking, so I love sunscreen! I would love to hear your recommendations for body sunscreen, I have a hard time finding large bottles of it for my time outside. I also cannot reach my back due to chronic illness (I’m also sure most people cannot reach that middle part of the back well lol) do you have any recommendations for that? Can you please make a video for body sunscreens? I can’t afford to slather the face ones everywhere. Thank you for all that you do!!!!!!
Love this I will look into trying the Trader Joe’s for the face but can you do a review on art naturals serums and if they are any good I heard they are cruelty free and vegan or something?
YES! I really want the prisma protect from dermalogica but it is like 60 dollars.
I met you the other day at my job! So nice to meet you, you were so sweet. Much love❤️
Thanks! we love you!! Question: is my sunscreen less effective if I store in my car under the hot sun? Thanks !
The Trader Joe's is my new favorite sunscreen and I will not be without it! Also for the body I use the CVS, Walgreens or other supermarket dupes.
i use elta md uv sport in the 7 oz bottle. if you do auto replenish from dermstore, it costs 6.68 per oz. it’s very hydrating and shiny, so it’s best for dry skin.
Missha sun block spf 50+ is amazing in my opinion for the dry skin 😘😘
I love Sun Bum.and Bondi Sands.
Our budget babe, I love you Cassandra, especially for doing this kind of videos, I love SPF but they are literally too expensive for inflation n other aspect. God bless you. Love from India 🇮🇳
#be minimilist rocks. Hoping so grt products on the way which are clean skincare and less expensive.
Get an FSA at work if you can. You can save money since it’s not taxed and I can buy sunscreen with mine.
PleaSe please please a video on best toners
Don't forget about the mineral sunscreen SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Air-Fit Suncream Plus!!! I get it on Stylevana for $7.00 because I shop there for pretty much all my skincare and am a VIP so now I get at least 16% off of listed price when I check out! I am in my mid 40's and I go without makeup because that sunscreen does amazing things to my skin!! Love it and you Cassandra!!
Love the recos! Sadly they're not easily available here in the Netherlands 💔 But gurrl, you forgot some dope K-beauty sunscreens! Can you please review the new Haruharu sunscreens? And also I saw Frudia having a mineral avocado sunscreen!! Have you tried them? I hope they're bombdiggidy ❤️
Thanks for letting us know about some reasonably priced sunscreens, Cassandra! And 2 without fragrance! I couldn't find the be Minimalist product through your link, so I don't know if it's fragrance free or not.
it is fragrance free
Its fragrance free.
Please do a review of sensitive and minimum acne-prone skin...please give me the recommendations that are available in Canada
than you for that! just saw video of canal hot and flashy and she represented sun screens but only expensive ones. ok her oudience is older but still. times aren't the best for ppl
I’ve been using the Frudia. It’s pretty good. Under 10 dollars.
Hi Cassandra, can you do a video with the best water resistant sunscreen (40-80 minutes) that are also fairly elegant, but not necessarily only chemical sunscreen, maybe combo too 😉 Thank you 😍
I love K Beauty SPF a lot are very reasonably priced 💕💕🇬🇧
Being on budget is the norm for me lately. Trader Joe’s also has a face and body sunscreen that is broad spectrum spf 30
and even less than the one you mentioned! Only $5.99 and it didn’t break me out. Check that one out too!
Cass, can you please review Desi Perkins skin care line Dezi Skin?
Can you do best budget serums?...
I absolutely love the Vanicream facial moisturizer with spf 30. I don’t think it is cruelty free (sorry Cassandra), but it is budget friendly and great for someone with a lot of allergies or skin sensitivity.
You don't get the same sun protection from that. You should probably still use sunscreen along with it.
I’d love to see some options for local drugstores or a Walmart for those of us who do not live in larger cities. No Trader Joe’s, Ulta, or even very well stocked CVS here! Sometimes you just don’t want to have to order online.
Is retinol in sunscreen a good idea? We are always told to not apply retinol during the day.
Plz review minimalist all product
Can you make a video about solawave? I don’t know what led is the best for me
Hey Cassandra I tried everyday by "Unsun mineral tinted broud spectrum cruelty free spf30 and water resistant sunscreen" it seems to not have benzene and furthermore it's has nice inactive ingredients non greasy, not hardd too out on and feels very soothing to the face; i have super sensitive skin. Love your channel I'm a retired vet and my skin has struggled for years. Owe you one! PS it's like 14.99 but worth it to me🎉 PS guys it can be bought in local drug stores as well I found it at CVS after watching your vid on the crooks shoving sunscreen in our face and holding our skin for ransom lol
Cassie we need Moisturizers for acne prone skin pleasee 😭 ❤
Ooooh, try the Minimalist B5! It's great! And cheap💗🦋💗🦋
Corsx GreenTea Aqua Soothing Gel has been brilliant for me ! :)
As a fellow acne member the Iunik Centella Asiatica Gel Cream (for Summer) and the Real Barrier Extrem Cream for winter is my fave!
I tried a really good one called Beautystat. Never had a gel/cream disappear into my skin so perfectly. It left nothing behind but moist, plump feeling. I think it was only around $21 for an ounce . It came in my Allure beauty box a while back. I'm not always too happy with Allure because a lot of times they put "filler" products that make you think you got so much awesome stuff but when you check ingredients you won't be that impressed. Growing up I was always reading the ingredients on the bottles of shampoo (there was nothing good for curly hair back then) skin care (methylisothiazolinone and methylchloroisothiazoline and stuff like that) now that I'm old I'm really good at being able to tell which products I will like and which products are toxic to me or a rip-off! I do get some things from Allure that make it worth the $23 every month. I wish there was a subscription box with only "clean" beauty...I bet there probably is and I should switch to it. I loved the Osea oil! Have any of you tried it or anything from Beautystat?
Not sure if you can get it in America but i use the amber solaire SPF 50 with hyaluronic acid. No eye sting and my face is soft. Love it for £9
Hi Cassandra 👋👋
What can you say about silicone elastomer sunscreens? Is it true that you don't need to reapply every 2 hours?
thank you so much you are doing God’s work
can you suggest good sunscreens I can reapply over makeup?
Cassandra I got the supergoop hydra ceramide in my Ipsy and I’d love to know the difference between it and the other sun screens in the supergoop line since she has soooo many went to the store cause I liked it and it’s overwhelming I don’t buy too many products though I’m trying to work on that is there one that’s better than the others is there a difference for different skin types I have normal skin not oily not dry I break out on the occasion so I never know what to use on my skin cause most people are looking for something to fix a problem and for me it’s more so I’m just looking for good protection and a good skincare routine for my 32 year old skin that I need to start taking better care of for when I’m older
Butyloctyl Salicylate makes the good molecules an undisclosed hybrid spf
Yes indeedy, fellow lab muffin watcher
Interesting, what does this mean? I know that hybrids with mineral and azobenzene are unstable, but I don’t know anything about butyloctyl salicylate

I use sunscreen twice maybe three times a month so it lasts me ages. Before you come after me I do wear it every time I go outside. I'm disabled and housebound and only really leave the house for medical appointments. Can't get sun damage if you don't go outside!
Do you have any tips for a skin care routine for someone with no energy?
I know you hate wipes but I do use them because I can't stand long enough at the sink to give my face a proper wash - but so many skincare channels are so against wipes that I feel guilty when I use them and feel like I'm harming my skin.
That said, I rarely use makeup, and I live indoors in the country so my face can't be collecting that much pollution/dirt. If I do wear makeup, it's just mascara and lipstick - and I use a make up remover then use different wipes to take it off - ones for each eye and my lips and face so I'm not just spreading it all over my face. Are they so bad for me?
Have u tried a micellar water? If u haven't that stuff is good just use cotton pads.
Can you recommend products for women breastfeeding
Body spf recommendation
Cassandra have you reviewed Tula line that is only available at Ulta
What do you think of:
Beauty of Joseon Dynasty Cream
Sunscreen + Probiotics SPF50
I use minimalist SPF50 and I immediately sweat. Now it is my 2nd sunscreen I ever tried and found out all of them are the same....I sweat the hell out of my face after I apply it. Is it normal? Apart from that I do like the minimalist sunscreen. And Cass thank you for getting me to start using sunscreen 😄
Tip your editor, so fun 😊
Dear Cassandra, have you ever seen Bryan Johnsons skin care routines? I wonder what you think about it.
There is a Vaseline spf body lotion here in India. I love it because it's the most affordable I found. Can you cover it? It's 400 ml bottle for 400 something rupees ..
There is also actly the Laroche Posay anthelios milky spf 50 in an economic tube, 14 euros for 250ml on internet . Idk if they sell this in america but google is your friend. Also there is Bondi Sands spf's pretty cheap for the quantity.
Wondering about body sunscreen recommendations?
Hello , please what about a sunscreen for oily skin who has color to use it instead of wearing make up ?
Have you ever used the Kroger sunscreens that Dr Dray swears are dupes for Super Goop? I’ve been buying a huge variety of Korean sunscreens. It is an amazing journey.
Does mixing liquid bronzer with sunscreen affect its efficacy?
Is SPF rating enough? I am exploring sunscreen for brown skin. Can you recommend Mineral sunscreen with a high SPF and high PA rating?
Hello cassandra hope you are doing good I just wanted to ask SPF 30 is enough and if it really helps with sun damage and dermatologist that I have seeing on UA-cam says that the sunscreen should atleast be 50 SPF please let me know what are your thoughts on this?
highly recommend eucerin and la roche posay sunscreens. not vegan and cruelty free etc, i don’t think. unfortunately. but exceptional formulations and not toooooo costly.
To #1234A It doesn't sting MY eyes! Although eye sting varies from person to person, I even have Niod Survival 30 (all mineral) and many other physical sunscreens that burn my eyes. This one doesn't 🤷♀️I am so fortunate to have found it!💗🦋💗🦋
I'm a fan girl of minimalist. But their spf 50 sunscreen didn't work for me. I have combination - normal acne prone skin. I was sweating like hell just after I applied it. It is not because of any other product because sunscreen is the only thing that I use in my AM routine. Minimalist has several other sunscreens too. I would love to see your feedbacks on that.
The Trader Joe’s sunscreen is SO nice. It is smooth, completely invisible, feels like nothing on the skin, and has no intense scent. Unfortunately… I am allergic. Broke out in a huge rash. I’m devastated.
Personally, I would like to remind everyone that sunscreen being under 10 bucks is great, but do make sure how much product you are getting. If you are only getting 40~50ml for 10 bucks, and yes there are sunscreens that only 40ml or even less at times even before the crown virus, that isn't really budget friendly per se, although to be fair what is "budget friendly" is somewhat subjective.
Also, I would like to point out that the Good molecule sunscreen is technically not pure mineral due to the spf booster which is very similar to octinoxate or octisilate or something. Learned that from Lab muffin beauty science but I was already suspicious when I read the ingredients list.
Speaking of which, my current faves are Apieu's Pure block aqua sun gel (6~8 ish bucks for 50ml) and Holika Holika's Aloe waterproof sun cream (13~15 ish bucks for 70ml). I got the Holika one for half the price for a holiday sale (it might have been for international womens day or easter i dunno) too, so money saved.
Are the apieu and holika sunscreens pure mineral?
@@Debicat777 no, they are chemical sunscreens. neither sting my eyes or irritate my skin though, and i have eczema. fair warning though, apieu has some old filters that might sting. the holika one use new filters so it's pretty much guaranteed that it wont sting
And are they good under makeup?
@@CGLiz cannot say for sure as i do not wear makeup, but considering that apieu's pure block sun gel has dimethicone in the inci list that one might do well under makeup. Furthermore holika holika's aloe sun cream has niacinamide so it might pill under makeup or too much product on top of it.
@@Debicat777no, they are chemical sunscreens. But neither sting my eyes or irritate my skin and i have eczema. fair warning though, apieu has some old filters that might sting. the holika one use new filters so it's pretty much guaranteed that it wont sting
Can you do best tinted spf?
That would be good. I just find sunscreen I like and add some bronzer or tint drops to it
What was the one ingredient with the TJ SPF?
Why can't we get all this in Europe????? 😢😢😢😢 The best we can get is 15€ cosrx when it's on sale
Try Frudia, I buy their Sun ultra UV shield for 9€ or for 5€ in sale (Czech rep)
Good Molecules is a hybrid sunscreen, not mineral because it contains Butyloctyl Salicylate. Ingredients classified as UV filters are highly regulated. Just because the suppliers/manufactureers of this ingredient didn’t want to pay the money and go through years of testing to get their little stamp of approval, doesn’t mean Butyloctyl Salicylate does not absorb UV.
Since Butyloctyl Salicylate is not technically classified as a UV filter, companies can still technically call their sunscreen a mineral sunscreen.

I think it’s great to buy an expensive one for your face and if it helps you reapply it on your face and if you get some extra Benefits from it like vitamin c or niacinamide then if more power to you. Body spf however should not be expensive af. 😭
