I’m a medical professional. For me a red flag is promises for major skin changes or very fast results. The reality is any results take weeks to months. Also topical skin care, while very important, will not ever give you drastic changes.
One exception I personally experienced, I had a terrible herpes infection that had covered my whole chin in 2010. I applied bentonite clay a few days in a row and it was healed, smooth skin. The clay also gave almost instant relief from the itching which was very bad.
I love my friends because whenever my skin improves they make sure to hype me up because they know I get excited when things clear up, but they NEVER comment on it getting worse. They will still hype me up and tell me I'm pretty 😌 They just won't make skin-specific remarks.
this whole "all natural, clean, no preservative" stuff bother me. I don't wanna buy 200mL of a product, paying "clean beauty" prices, only to have it go bad within half the time!
People who judge you for using drugstore skincare is s hugeee red flag not everyone can afford high end or even mid range products also influencers who say things like omg this is a miracle product or you only need this product for an xyz problem skin problems are complex and you might need to do a lot more than just slap a $100 cream
I use Dove Soap Bar and Palmers cocoa butter oil. Then a spf $30 from ELF after letting the oil set. $25 routine(roughly) I like brands that have been around for decades. Dove was founded in 1957 and Palmers 1840s I think. Elf was founded in 2004, but their products are good imo.
What people don't understand, or don't want to believe, is that drugstore products and more expensive brands generally have the same major ingredients and similar formulas. When I say "major ingredients", I mean the first 4 to 6 ingredients on the ingredients list which are generally very mundane ingredients like water, glycerin, petrolatum (aka petroleum jelly, aka Vaseline), mineral oil, beeswax, etc. When you compare ingredients lists, you learn this. All you get with more expensive products is a dusting of ingredients with botanical names that sound impressive, fancy packaging, and a prestigious brand name.
In my country drugstore products are sold with high end prices, we don't have the privilege of saving when buying skincare or makeup. That's another level of red flag , when companies not only are shady about the claimings of their products, but also they sell the same drugstore products 4 times their price as high end products on developing countries.
Speaking of JavaScript, another red flag is when a product is always on sale for 30 days with a bogus count down on the website. - False urgency / scarcity.
My biggest red flag is the one-person indie brands who try to demonize large cosmetic companies. These indies say: "the big mega-corporate capitalists are selling you toxic things that will ruin your skin - but we use only pure, natural things like lemon juice, and we avoid nasty preservatives." First, not all indie brands do this. I'm an amateur formulator myself ... I follow all the accepted practices of the large labs, and if I can't safely make something in my clean kitchen, I won't make it at all. Large companies can afford $$$$$ fully equipped labs and to pay PhD cosmetic chemists. They can afford to try out hundreds of formulae, and can afford to test them all. Large companies have access to ingredients and methods we can't do at home. [I can't buy or stabilize retinol.] Large companies are in business to increase their sales. If they ruin customers' skin, they will lose sales. It's in their best interests to make good products. That lemon juice I mentioned some indies use ... lemon juice is acidic enough to hurt skin, it has sugar and other things that encourage spoilage, and chemicals derived from lemon juice (citric acid) work much better.
Skincare red flags 🚩 🚩 1. Changes in lighting in before and after photos 2. Identical before and after pics (to spot if they’re the same look at the eyelashes, eyebrows, hairs on the skin, etc) > it means it was photoshopped if theyre the same 3. Preservative free products > they will grow mold 4. No expiration date 5. The ingredients dont match what the product claims. Tip for knowing if ingredients are genuine in a beauty product: look for the INCI list 6. ‘Chemical free’ products (everything is made of chemicals which means they have no idea what they were doing and not real scientists) 7. ‘Tried and tested’ products. Look for tested AND APPROVED 8. When brands attack/blame customers online 9. No negative reviews on the product 10. Pop ups like ‘5 people just put this in their carts’ > its preprogrammed for when u click on it 11. Expensive ass shit that could be found on aliexpress/alibaba/shein/temu > they got it from these stores and are drop shipping 12. Green washing
I never had acne until my late 20's 😢and had this boyfriend who made me cry because of my acne. I broke up with him after crying a lot with one of his comments since he keeps getting meaner and joking about my acne seriously is such a red flag like people change he just didn't love me and couldn't bother to say it
Verbal abuse is a red flag in relationships and an excellent reason to dump him! Good for you! Don't put up with cr*p like that, ever! You don't need anyone bad enough to put up with that kind of behavior.
im so sorry you had to deal with that, acne isnt something you can control most of the time, so its not something anyone should be judged on, the main causes for acne are hormones (mainly testosterone or cortisol) and outside factors like air quality and heat, please take care of yourself and try not to worry too much if you still struggle with acne, just make sure to keep your pores clear when possible and to exercise to regulate hormone levels! hope this helps, as a fellow acne sufferer! ❤
Thank you for not demonizing preservatives! I take a while to use products, generally speaking, so things with short shelf lives are a major no-go for me. I do sometimes use things past their expiration date, but I use common sense that if it looks or smells off, I toss it. I'd rather have wasted a few bucks throwing away a product than pay hundreds for an ER visit!
as someone who works retail for a beauty brand it kills me when someone asks for something with no chemicals or no 'bad' chemicals, but then don't have any examples of which chemicals theyre trying to avoid!!
I get how they should do some resrearch themselves but...... therer are ingredients being used that are uhh less than ideal. like certain alcohols, wasnt there recently a big scoop about something or another... okay I should do more research :)
one skincare red flag for me is when a product has on the label somewhere that says something along the lines of "get amazing results within 24 hours!" bc i don't think that there's any miracle product that changes your skin in that short of a time.
My skincare red flag is a "miracle product" that is cheap generic moisturizer + X plant extract + different fragrances, which is often more irritation and a higher price tag. The green flag is the simple effective less "sexy" pharmacy hypoallergenic generic option with the bigger container.
I second this. In the early days of Whole Foods, I got a lotion hoping it would reduce my eczema in highschool there, and it had WAY too many essential oils like lavender and others, and I broke out in hives all over the next day. It was like 2007 so this was about when the wild west era of clean beauty brands was just beginning.
Dr Vanita Rattan’s sunscreen brand “Inzincable” claims to leave no white cast (it’s a mineral sunscreen SPF 50, she claims it’s good esp for skin of color) and she has a video of her and some relatives “reapply” the sunscreen over makeup but they disappear into the bathroom, don’t film them reapplying it and come out saying they applied it over their make-up and they looked flawless. Well I tried Inzincable and it leaves a greasy white cast. I’m sad for this because I really trusted her advice on all skincare but I no longer watch her content. Just my experience, maybe others have had success?
That's what happen when a person of dark skin tries mineral sunscreens that are not tinted. Black people tend to feel better finish with organic sunscreens.
Same with the bloom spf and other spfs, I've tried out so many from a company that used to give out free products, but they're no longer operating called super~great and they used to have the actual ceos, ambassadors and inventors on the show and I've gotten into it with women who claim their SPS,Had no white cast and I have caramel skin and I explain to them where different colors. Maybe you all didn't test on any people of color but I clearly have a cast And then you make reviews on these products on the app.And of course tons of other people claim it had a cast,so sometimes I don't think that they test their own products on other people with various complexions...
6:38 if youre a cetaphil user here: Some Cetaphil cleansers, like the Gentle Skin Cleanser, are considered shelf-stable and don't have an expiration date. However, they can last for years if they're not exposed to extreme temperatures. To check if a Cetaphil cleanser is still suitable for use, you can look for changes in its consistency, color, or odor
"dermatologist tested" has gotten me before 😅 thank you for all the information!! HEAVY agree on the relationship stuff! My last ex would make comments about my acne, not like "ew your skin is nasty" but he would just always mention it and say weird things as a "joke" that made me feel bad, even though I told him many times it made me uncomfortable and I didn't want him to. The relationship ended up being awful (for multiple reasons). My current partner has never made me feel that way, the only time we talk about it is when *I* bring it up. He has always made me feel beautiful despite my acne and acne scars. We've been together 5 years now (:
Your former bf actually wasn’t in love with u.if he truly loves you then he will never feel you low about ur acne..let them go..whatever. You deserve better than him.and you got it.congratulations.❤
6:01 you could also set a calendar reminder in your phone to alert you when skincare products expire. That way you don’t have to worry about the label rubbing away/wearing off if it gets wet, falling off, forgetting to check, etc.. I have alarms to remind me of my glow recipe subscription, in case I need to change the date or update any info. 😊
@unnatichaudhary1195 multi level marketing. Pyramid scheme. Like Seint. You know..."COME JOIN MY TEAM AND YOU CAN BE A MILLIONAIRE LIKE ME!" Those people that spend all day teying to get people to buy a starter package (any job that you have to PAY to be a part of is a scam and a pyramid scheme) and their focus is getting people to join their team, not selling any actual product. Because you make money based on how many people you got to join and the money THEY INVEST, not sales. And they have a quota to keep or they owe money. People have lost their houses joining an MLM. Lost everything. Even their friends and family.
@@unnatichaudhary1195pyramid schemes. Those businesses that have women contacting you asking you to join them, and telling you how much money you can make by selling those products.
I love your energy in this video! My red flag isn't specific to skincare but anything from a designer brand, or a celebrity brand--esoecially a brand that centers the celebrity. This goes double for anything the Kardashians touch.
I actually said this same thing to myself yesterday. It feels like it’s more about the celebrity than the customer. I think the quality then suffers. Evidenced by a certain lip kit which everyone was complaining about.
Hi Cassandra, all sweeties, I'm almost 65 and never used skincare, only cold water on my face + I did never go in the sun because I have a bit of vitiligo (some spot when I have been in the sun (walking and no shadow!), I get white and brown spots, very annoying and this is why I never went into the sun as I could prevent it. I have combination skin BTW. I also had acne and ulcers, even with multiple heads, even now I can get them!! But since a couple of years I use skincare for that from the farmacy, like f.i.: 'ROC', 'LA ROCHE-POSAY', 'LOUIS WIDMER'(advice from dermatologist) but I never used or use anything for wrinkles or such. And people think I'm much younger than 64!! Almost no wrinkles and proud of that. Cold water is the best when you are young and have no skinproblems. Do you have skinproblems? Go to a professional, do not experiment on your own sweeties!! And listen to Cassandra!!!!! BTW: advice I've got from the dermatologist (for my skin because it can cause irritantion and yes, acne (on my skin!): make sure there is no perfume in the product you buy. And not all skins are the same, what is good for my skin is not allways good for your skin!!! Lots of love from an old rebel-Pinkie
Cassandra was the FIRST UA-camr I found in 2011 or 2012 as Diamondandheels14. I think I found her through an article. I was obsessed. Thank you for bringing me into the UA-cam beauty community! It changed my life.
In my experience, friends who point out the flaws in your skin are jelly people in clandestine and would be upset if you do the same thing to them. Great video, Cassandra, thanks!
Before and Afters, where the Before looks like a picture of personified sadness and grumpiness (makeupfree) and the After with a very smiley person (with makeup) also grind my gears. Not comparable!
Oh I remember a couple years ago seeing ads for a cheap ripoff of the Nuface that straight up used footage of Dr Dray's review of the REAL Nuface, in which she did not give it a ringing endorsement. I just don't trust social media ads.
Product doesn't have a recommended usage time/regimen, if your product is supposed to be used every second of every day it's either doing nothing or you want me to buy more all the time. I can use it when I want but knowing for what kind of use it's formulated is so helpful.
The whole "clean beauty" or "anti sunscreen" movement is really bugging me. It spread so much false information that can cause so much damage. Clean beauty usually means full of essential oils and short shelf life, which can cause a lot of irritation and skin damage. No sunscreen is full of the "no chemical" mindset or inspired by the "clean beauty" mindset, which can cause cancer. I rather use sunscreen than get cancer
I went for microneedling and didn't know that the esthetician was a clean beauty girlie. She microneedled my face and then put lavender essential oil on my punctured bleeding skin. Talk about irritation 💀 I'll never make that mistake again
Going full Cassandra today and I 💜it. Amazing video today. One pet hate of mine is going to a spa and having a facial, and it always goes the same way, them putting the hard sell on you and telling you how dehydrated your skin is. It’s also embarrassing when I have taken clients for a Spa Day and they feel obligated to buy something they were put under so much pressure (Inevitably form a really expensive line). Now I tell them upfront absolutely no selling unless the guest asks you. Unfortunately in South Africa, beauty therapists are not that well paid and are put in the position of trying to earn commission on product sales.
This is also true in the US. Spa employees are generally pressured to sell whatever line the spa recommends. Or so I've heard. I don't have facials because my dermatologist told me not to.
One of my old teachers sells beauty products for one of those pyramid schemes and in her before vs after she always does slightly different angles so it can look like it’s amazing. A few I remember seeing is she had the camera angle down then up to show the lash growth serum. Then had a picture of her hair then the after she was tilting her head back some so you would think the hair growth was amazing
I’m going back to the basics this summer and throwing out most serums and toners/essences. I am using a gentle cleanser, sunscreen and a face mask once a week. Also making sure I drink 2 liters of water a day!
Products that are recommended for EVERYONE! EVERYONE needs this! Well does my late 30's, sensitive, oily, acne prone skin need it? Or does that 16 year old? Or the 65 year old? Or the dry skin ladies? Or the sun damaged? I love reviews and products that are specific or include caveats to recommendations.
Red flag: When an eye cream claims to get rid of lines and you can see that the person is smiling or squinting in the first photo and has a relaxed face in the second.
I'm surprised some people aren't aware that the ingredients list are in order and if a product claims/boasts to have a certain ingredient it better be in the first half of the list (unless its an incredibly potent ingredient), and fragrances should always/almost always be at the end of the list.
I worked in a skincare corp. What isn't talked about much are some amazing products that have great formulas... That must bow to their terrible, shady marketing teams. So you can have scientist makers of lovely skincare, then staff with the polar opposite shady "make it viral" tactics trying to bring the same product to market, painting them with big red flags 😢
When it comes to reviews, i find reddit in the Face/Skincare groups are some of the best for honest, unbiased takes on how good/bad products work. Also i never knew that drama about the ahem Tipsy Pachyderm 😂 what did i miss
One of my red flags: when a product claims to do too many things. I'm sure they're area lot of good products out there with multiple active ingredients that can address more than one condition, but I'm not believing that a small $10 tube of something is going to fix every problem under the sun and then some!
this video fell into my recommendeds and wow i love your editing style and energy! it feels both educative and fun/relatable! this makes it very easy to understand what you're saying even for people who dont understand the topic! also, are there acne patch brands to avoid vs brands you would recommend? its so hard to navigate shopping for such things when everything looks the same!
My skin care red flag is 'exzema cure' or people talking about it curing it. As someone who has suffered so badly and knows there is no cure not only is it upsetting it makes me really angry!
I don’t know how old you are or how long you’ve had it but I had hand eczema so bad for the last 15 years that I always had some sort of sore on my hands. Couldn’t even get lemon near my hands when cooking or it would practically burn my skin off. I don’t have a cure for you so don’t know why I’m even responding, but I guess your comment just resonated with me since I’ve had such issues with it. Anyway…just wanted to say that I have no idea why, but I’ve had no issue after at least a year. Can even put acids on my hands now so there is hope! I doubt it’s any type of skincare though, just some sort of inflammatory response happening in our body.
All I can say is, I feel your pain. I've dealt with eczema for 50 years, and I've learned some things to keep from getting it, and I have 2 prescriptions to use if I get it anyway. The main things for me are to keep my skin well moisturized and don't use products with fragrance and irritants such as isopropyl alcohol. Oh, and use gloves for dishes and cleaning. But sometimes I get it anyway.
I think it really depends on why you have exzema. Whether it is autoimmune, yeast allergy, vitamin c deficiency, etc. There are multiple kinds of eczema, each with their own cause, but autoimmune conditions can be difficult or even impossible to fully control. :/ ♡
Oh this hit a nerve for me. The “cure your eczema from within ur gut”, clean beauty people piss me off so bad. Like what in my mothers breast milk gave one month old me eczema 😐
I'm glad you're talking about hair loss. My daughter is on a swim team and has recently been dropping a lot of hair. It can be from hair tie, cap or chlorine. Please help
The only dry shampoo I like is the purple one from Hask. I think it is the biotin one? It is in a purple can. I have black and neon green hair, it doesn't leave a white powdery substance on my hair when I use it. It is expensive though, I believe it is 8 dollars per bottle (which is expensive to me.) It is worth the price though!
Me indoor or on an overcast day: grey eyes Me near a window or outside when it's sunny: blue eyes Light does indeed affect us a lot, and not just our makeup or photos. Which is why a red flag for me is definitely "before and after" photos that have different compositions, expressions or lighting. Expression is such a game changer in a photo since it hits on a psychological level, not just the physical.
I had an argument with a youtuber that insisted that rubbing Frozen cucumber on your face works because they are full of antioxidants... yes if you eat it!
@@clownbag no more effective than rubbing a cool spoon or gusha and technically it's dangerous to rub anything frozen on your face. Since cucumbers ate mostly water it would be the equivalent of rubbing ice cubes directly on the sensitive skin of your face.
Okay, I admit I am naive at best and plain old stupid at worst. Here are my questions: 1.) How can u tell a photo used filters? It sounds very obvious to u, but it is not for me. Do u have a video on that? 2.) How does one reverse image search? I have no idea 3.) I am not clear on what “drop shipping” is. Exactly what is it? How can u tell a person or a company is one? ❤ I have watched almost the whole video, so I think that covers my questions. Thank u for all u do! I really appreciate u!!
2:20 nope. I only do my makeup in natural daylight, for this reason 🤣 I want my makeup to look good in natural daylight more than anything, bc then I feel like it’ll look good in any lighting. Also, the sunlight really helps me see finer details, blend lines, etc…
Just came here to comment and tell you thankyou Cass! I haven't watched your videos in a while and now I've let a plethora build up! Cassandra for days! Whoop!

I use a lot of good molecules products with very good results made in Korea. I don't know if you know much about them but they show ingredients and cruelty free and I believe vegan but I can't remember right now, everything is unscented. I use face wash, eye cream, and serums from them and seen results in lightening my dark spots n acne scars.my face is also extremely smooth when I use them and I even use it on my hands and arms to heal cat scratches scars and them to just heal better. I've been very impressed and I have a hard time with skincare with very sensitive skin
Cassandra I love your videos, very informative and useful. I have a request - Can you please dial down the quacking sounds in between, they are such anxiety triggers for me and I have to pause the video a few times to calm myself and complete it.

Being A Woman Of A Certain Age means Everybody in media has an opinion about how you should look and what you should put on your skin I have always loved SPF and hated wearing heavy make-up &creams and I dont intend to start now. Whats is true for teens & acne is also true for Mature women the only difference being Wrinkles and lines are not an infected pores and can be part of healthy skin 😎☕💋
I met this person for the first time, talked with him for like 20 minutes. He started giving me dieting advice! I had just shrunk 14 sizes in 9 months, and this jerk is giving me dieting advice! I'm an honest to G-d medium. And he's calling me fat‽ As for how I shrunk, I was large because I had a grumbling appendix. If dieting or exercise does not work for, go to your doctor. If you can't afford too, or your doctor is criminally negligent. Get something Iodized, like potassium per Iodine, Do Not Use More Than The Recommended Dose. If that works, you have a thyroid issue. My appendix problem (technically a thyroid issue) was solved with antibiotics for a rooster attack, so I avoided surgery, Yay. Also physical therapy for my injured back, caused by the appendix problem.
I have been dealing with acne, so at first, I had a little skincare routine. My acne was still bad. :( I switched to just hand soap. My acne healed so much. I am much happier now!
Phenoxyethanol is a lot different to salt. It’s a chemical and there are articles on its safety to rub into your skin daily. -1% is ok but try ing to find out much is in a formula - just can’t in many cases
A red flag for me is the type of marketing they do for a product. Do they make fun of people or a hurtful situation, or recreate it in demeaning ways? Or is their advertising very cheap, poorly done, or in bad taste? I'm also apprehensive when companies push products on people too hard, or make completely unrealistic claims.
I've worn lotion and chapstick since I was in my 20s. I just don't have a skin care/ makeup routine. I paint my face three 3x a year, so I buy $25 worth of small drugstore products a year and then throw them out. I also keep my cosmetics in the refrigerator when we travel. Our camper doesn't have a consistent temperature.

Kenzzi had an ipl cooling device on sale for black Friday. The cooling lasted maybe 2 minutes, and the continuous flash button seldom worked. And I didn't notice any difference in my hair growth. I actually read all the 5 star reviews, and some of them were very negative. They changed the stars! The device is no longer on the site
1. Before and After photos that are clearly photoshopped, or different lighting used 2. „preservative free“. Preservatives are important to prevent bacterial and fungal growth in a product. 3. Ingredients don‘t match the product. 4. „chemical free“ everything is made of chemical components. That just shows they don‘t know what they‘re talking about. 5. „tried and tested“ like the whole 9/10 dentists recommend this product thing. Which ones? The ones you paid? Without actual studies, stay suspicious, also just because someone tested it, doesn‘t mean they *approve* it. Also medical studies conducted by the brand that wants to sell the product are to be taken with a grain of salt because of potential conflict of interest leading to fudged results. 6. when brands attack customers online and claim it‘s all their fault the product didn‘t work. 7. no negative reviews on the product 8. pop ups and ali express 9. greenwashing and using unrelated peoples faces 10 relationships and bullying about your appearance, both to be evaded IRL and when it comes to brands.

1. Changes in lighting in before and after photos
2. Identical before and after pics (to spot if they’re the same look at the eyelashes, eyebrows, hairs on the skin, etc) > it means it was photoshopped if theyre the same
3. Preservative free products > they will grow mold
4. No expiration date
5. The ingredients dont match what the product claims. Tip for knowing if ingredients are genuine in a beauty product: look for the INCI list
6. ‘Chemical free’ products (everything is made of chemicals which means they have no idea what they were doing and not real scientists)
7. ‘Tried and tested’ products. Look for tested AND APPROVED
8. When brands attack/blame customers online
9. No negative reviews on the product
10. Pop ups like ‘5 people just put this in their carts’ > its preprogrammed for when u click on it
11. Expensive ass shit that could be found on aliexpress/alibaba/shein/temu > they got it from these stores and are drop shipping
12. Green washing
Thank youu for this🙏🏼
I never had acne until my late 20's 😢and had this boyfriend who made me cry because of my acne. I broke up with him after crying a lot with one of his comments since he keeps getting meaner and joking about my acne seriously is such a red flag like people change he just didn't love me and couldn't bother to say it
He probably raised your cortisol levels. How is your skin doing now? Any improvement?
What did HE look like? A real prize, right??
You deserve better. He is not good for you though. Chill girl❤
Thank you for not demonizing preservatives! I take a while to use products, generally speaking, so things with short shelf lives are a major no-go for me. I do sometimes use things past their expiration date, but I use common sense that if it looks or smells off, I toss it. I'd rather have wasted a few bucks throwing away a product than pay hundreds for an ER visit!
as someone who works retail for a beauty brand it kills me when someone asks for something with no chemicals or no 'bad' chemicals, but then don't have any examples of which chemicals theyre trying to avoid!!
wait until they learn that water is a chemical.
Well, they must be avoiding water because water is a chemical!
Oh man. That already sounds tiring.
The fact that they expect you to know what "bad chemicals" they're talking about when they don't even know themselves must be so irritating 💀
Wow, girl. Over 17 years of knowledge. I love it, good for you
My skincare red flag is a "miracle product" that is cheap generic moisturizer + X plant extract + different fragrances, which is often more irritation and a higher price tag.
Preach!!!
my mom's favorite skincare is this giant ass bottle of MEDICAL lotion (for wound care and such) that smells awful but is great for her skin lmao
Well that stinks. I liked her too!
I started watching her channel but started to feel like she only started the channel to promote her brand.
That's what happen when a person of dark skin tries mineral sunscreens that are not tinted. Black people tend to feel better finish with organic sunscreens.
Yeah she is a grifter. Uses a lot of fear mongering for skin of colour and then promotes her own brand
Your former partner showed you who he was, and you believed him. Good for you! He showed bad character which can't be treated or cured, unlike acne!
I can add another red flag when it comes to skincare and makeup (or any other product) - if the brand is an MLM, I won't buy it.
what's mlm?
@@unnatichaudhary1195 Multi level marketing. Like mary kay, avon. Pyramid schemes
@@unnatichaudhary1195 Multi-Level Marketing, basically a pyramid scheme but with products
Hi Cassandra, all sweeties,
I'm almost 65 and never used skincare, only cold water on my face + I did never go in the sun because I have a bit of vitiligo (some spot when I have been in the sun (walking and no shadow!), I get white and brown spots, very annoying and this is why I never went into the sun as I could prevent it.
BTW:
advice I've got from the dermatologist (for my skin because it can cause irritantion and yes, acne (on my skin!): make sure there is no perfume in the product you buy.
And not all skins are the same, what is good for my skin is not allways good for your skin!!!
Lots of love from an old rebel-Pinkie
1:55 OMG such a huge pet peeve of mine! I see SO many before and after photos with different lighting
The fact that you cuss makes me love you. It feels like I'm talking to a friend. Like for real. I trust you. Let's go new bestie!!
So true about "clean" beauty. To me, a product isn't "clean" unless it has no fragrant ingredients or added fragrance.
I went for microneedling and didn't know that the esthetician was a clean beauty girlie. She microneedled my face and then put lavender essential oil on my punctured bleeding skin. Talk about irritation 💀 I'll never make that mistake again
@@elena7520 OMG!!!
@@20thcenturyrelic probably the same everywhere hey. I just do my own facials at home, it’s way more relaxing 💜
I love that you used the red flag guy for this video 😂
I’m going back to the basics this summer and throwing out most serums and toners/essences. I am using a gentle cleanser, sunscreen and a face mask once a week. Also making sure I drink 2 liters of water a day!
Before and after is the worst especially ai generating fake before and after is gonna make it alot worst
I'd like to know more about toothpaste ratings! First time I've heard of those aspects!
Red flag: When an eye cream claims to get rid of lines and you can see that the person is smiling or squinting in the first photo and has a relaxed face in the second.
Same with wrinkle creams when the person is raising their eyebrows in the before to create forehead wrinkles and then relaxed in the after lmao
This is all true but your energy?? Amazing! Passionate! I didn't feel bored even once!
When it comes to reviews, i find reddit in the Face/Skincare groups are some of the best for honest, unbiased takes on how good/bad products work.
Also i never knew that drama about the ahem Tipsy Pachyderm 😂 what did i miss
I had to SUBSCRIBE. Not just because of your points, but because of the WAY you're saying it. You remind me of me I'm so passionate about SCAMS lol
I got a label maker to date “throw out dates” on my products (both a personal and my MUA kit) HELPS A TON
Clean beauty or natural ingredients like citrus juices. Lookin at you Lush!
This was good. We are all searching for products that really provide results. It's so easy to be roped in by misleading advertising.
Me indoor or on an overcast day: grey eyes
Me near a window or outside when it's sunny: blue eyes
Light does indeed affect us a lot, and not just our makeup or photos. Which is why a red flag for me is definitely "before and after" photos that have different compositions, expressions or lighting. Expression is such a game changer in a photo since it hits on a psychological level, not just the physical.
Love this!!! I wish I had your channel to guide me as a teenager but I’m so glad to have it as an adult! 🎉❤
I had an argument with a youtuber that insisted that rubbing Frozen cucumber on your face works because they are full of antioxidants... yes if you eat it!
I don't know about penetratable ingredients, but cucumber is generally really soothing and that is worth something.
Here are my questions:
1.) How can u tell a photo used filters? It sounds very obvious to u, but it is not for me. Do u have a video on that?
2.) How does one reverse image search? I have no idea
3.) I am not clear on what “drop shipping” is. Exactly what is it? How can u tell a person or a company is one?
❤
I have watched almost the whole video, so I think that covers my questions. Thank u for all u do! I really appreciate u!!
In love with the energy ❤
2:20 nope. I only do my makeup in natural daylight, for this reason 🤣 I want my makeup to look good in natural daylight more than anything, bc then I feel like it’ll look good in any lighting.

Well...if I did not know how you felt about things before, I sure know now! #No holding back!!😊❤

In my country drugstore products are sold with high end prices, we don't have the privilege of saving when buying skincare or makeup. That's another level of red flag , when companies not only are shady about the claimings of their products, but also they sell the same drugstore products 4 times their price as high end products on developing countries.
Love your personality
And he's calling me fat‽
As for how I shrunk, I was large because I had a grumbling appendix.
I think you should go over the difference between real and fake reviews, and how to spot the difference.
I have been dealing with acne, so at first, I had a little skincare routine.
My acne was still bad. :(
I switched to just hand soap.
My acne healed so much. I am much happier now!
How can we tell if a product has preservatives or not? What ingredients should we look for?
OMG the "Inkey List" brand now makes sense! XD
Right? 😂
wait.... 🤦 that just clicked..... freaking puntastic geniuses!!!!
Literally she said that and I was like "...OH"
Phenoxyethanol is a lot different to salt. It’s a chemical and there are articles on its safety to rub into your skin daily. -1% is ok but try ing to find out much is in a formula - just can’t in many cases

When any products say FRAGRANCE FREE, but if you look at the ingredients, you find parfum 🤔
I love your delivery. Phuqing awesome. 😉

Our camper doesn't have a consistent temperature.

Question: what about products that just put a lot code and no expiration date?
Cassandra you are such a hoot. You can review anything and make it so entertaining yet useful. I do want to comment that your hair is looking good. What is your hair protocol now?
Kenzzi had an ipl cooling device on sale for black Friday. The cooling lasted maybe 2 minutes, and the continuous flash button seldom worked. And I didn't notice any difference in my hair growth. I actually read all the 5 star reviews, and some of them were very negative. They changed the stars! The device is no longer on the site
another skincare red flag.. if the skincare is onsale on a website like amazon but its sold by a third party and not the actual brand
Somebody list all the red flags mentioned in video. My adhd cant focus at all
1. Before and After photos that are clearly photoshopped, or different lighting used
7. no negative reviews on the product
8. pop ups and ali express
9. greenwashing and using unrelated peoples faces
10 relationships and bullying about your appearance, both to be evaded IRL and when it comes to brands.
Love this ❤❤❤
