Welcome to the H3 club. Biggest thing that helped me was launching with the lines tight. No slack. Unlike my Ozone wings. Then I even noticed it says that in the manual! No slack in the lines really helped reduce its tendency to surge up.
csmith9008 what do you men when you say launching with the lines tight . Im ready to pull the trigger on a H3 but also looking close to the N4 I have just over 200 hrs on a spyder 3 with 2d tied in .
@@nitro200flyer3 With your Ozone on a forward you probably center yourself on the wing with lines kind of tight then take 1 or 2 steps back before launching. The H3 does better when you don't step back before launching.
@@csmith9008 Awesome tip and you are correct I've always taken two steps back, So do you need to check the wings with brake to catch an overfly? I have recently been using a friend of mines wifes 20m Spyder and it's just a tidbit faster and quicker to react or it could be my wishful thinking .. Has anyone gone from a Spyder3 to a Hadron3? Why am I so reluctant to pull the trigger on a hadron3 20 m?
@@nitro200flyer3 My opinion is the H3 is very different than the Spyder. More advanced. I went from a Spyder to a Sirocco then to H3. Im glad I had that progression. Certainly not saying don't do it just make sure you are ready. Everyones skills are different and Im glad I did the Sirocco.
speed before lift my itv piper feel the same when i done my couple first flight on it vs my niviuk qubik was taking some alt directy from feet leaving ground
Thanks, yes I tried a 24m on my France trip but didn't like it due to oscillations. It required pilot input in calm conditions. I found it easy to launch though and nicely responsive. I didn't calculate speeds or fuel burn on it. Not an XC wing, and therefore not for me.
I kinda meant... if you shortened them from where Gary has them.. is there any danger when releasing trim and speedbar they would self engage? I had the same feeling with my Spyder... then realised if I shortened them too much they would hit the pulleys on trims and bar. Hopefully not :)
Hi Mark. You able to give any comments re how much extra attension is required flying the Hadron you have now compared to the NucXX? Like for a standard XC fligh in ok conditions is there much difference re requirement for active flying? Can you stow your brakes and cruise along in the Hadron? Second related question is how do you think flying your NucXX 24m (same as me) at around 140kg would compare to the Hadron but say a 22/24m Hadron? (i.e. overloaded NucXX vs staying within standard weight range Hadron). I've come back to this video a could of times, many thanks. :)
I'm no expert but I will offer my opinion since you asked for it. The Hadron is a great XC wing in calm conditions. It can be flown in gusty thermals, but needs to be actively flown. I recommend the tip-steer kit that Dudek sells so you don't have to reach up. My all-up weight is 120kg so I think I should be on a Nuc XX 22m (but I have the 24m). I bought the Hadron 3 20m. I would say a 22m would be good for you. 24m too big.
Hi Mark, good luck with your new wing! Out of interest did you install the tip steering lines on your universal? I have picked up a bulldog and was thinking about installing them on my universal.
I prefer the way the N4 flies. It handles much nicer and easier and is more stable. The H3 is heavy on the brakes but more efficient and faster making it a good XC wing in calm conditions.
Enjoyed that mark , that train looked tempting 😁
I couldn't resist it! 😂
awesome!
Enjoying it so far.

Really nice video as usual from Mark!
Glad you like them!
That was absolutely stunning Mark.
I’ve enjoyed watching it very much.
And thank you for the upload on the YT.
Glad you like it, more to come!
Great flights! Thanks for the info on the wing. Been thinking about getting one for a few years now.
You should if you like XCs, best suited to calm air. It can be thrown around as well, very easily. 🤣
Congratulations on the new wing - another great video Mark.
Thanks Scott!
Lovely video Mark. I didn't realise how dodgy my take off looked 👀
Hahaha, do you want me to remove it?
@@markallisonparamotor oh hell no. We all have those type of take offs ever now and then. Better to be real right? :)
@@mksmurff too true, I almost ate the hedge! 😁
@@markallisonparamotor lol
Nice wing. Glad you have the old color scheme. It is much nicer than the new one.
Yes, however two other guys at the field have the same wing in the same colours. I'll have to get a photo of us all together!
Congrats. We've all had the odd dodgy take off when you think I'm glad that's over.
Tell me about it 😅
Congratulations for speed wing bro
Thanks buddy 🎉
I reckon Buncies tip steering kit will transform flying the H3 on a high hang point Bulldog
Enjoy the lower fuel burn
Yep, looking forward to a 3 hour flight with that fitted.

I've never tried an itv, don't see them much in the UK. Are you liking it?
Lovely color scheme, and 40mph - that should allow for some great cross country!
Yes I'm looking forward to extended range!
The Three Amigos !!
Very useful video. Lot's of good information here.
Did you also consider and demo the DriftAir?

They do fly nice
Fast and efficient for sure 👌
Great... now u are even faster!!!! Were the brake lines any "shorter" trimmed out and on speedbar?
I don't know! I never use brakes unless trimmed at least half in.

@@adrian23483 oh I see what you mean, and that's an excellent point. I don't know the answer. I will watch that when I trim out next..

Thanks, yes they are definitely required on the Uni because of the huge trimmer range.
@@markallisonparamotor Thanks! Sunday project for me then!
@@Astrobutch0901 do you use the TEA? If not just unhook them from the risers and put the tipsteering handles on those instead, works perfect.
@@rickardjonsson4526 not sure what that is, I’m fairly new to the sport and only just released the trimmers from their stays
@@Astrobutch0901 oh okey you need to read your manual. Its the red lines that pass through a plastic pipe on the risers.

Indeed Brian!
So you like the head round 3 over the nucleon 4? Is the hadron three a lot faster on average does a nucleon 4?
I prefer the way the N4 flies. It handles much nicer and easier and is more stable. The H3 is heavy on the brakes but more efficient and faster making it a good XC wing in calm conditions.
What is your all up weight, if I may ask.
Full tank, around 135 kg
