    Fantastic video! I'm a long-time Free-Flight Paraglider pilot, building my electric Paramotor. Fortunately, I have a lovely field near my home. Both of my regular sites are 50 miles from me, so power will give me the chance to fly more often. 🎉

    It's great to see someone new and in love with the sport! I am a little concerned about your launches, are you still getting that mini frontal collapse now or was that just when you started? I have a hunch what's causing it but I won't play at being an instructor, if you are still experiencing it you should throw together a compilation of launches and send it to your instructor to ask what can be done. Overall great work though! Fly safe o7

      I get these occasionally and honestly, any advice would be accepted, I’m not precious about it. I think it may be my initial wing layout and more of a V shaped layout seems to help. What’s your thoughts!? Open to suggestions. And thanks for noticing and helping.

    • @orillian8023
      @orillian8023 2 місяці тому +2

      @MidFlightCrisis as I said, I'm not an instructor, but it looks to me like you are way deep in the A's. Try holding the malions at or above the height of your ears and pull forward not down.
      This isn't a big deal for a super safe A rated glider that can muscle through it but it will blow launches on spicier gliders.

      @@orillian8023 thanks very much for the advice, anything helps. I’ll give that a go as soon as I fly next and I’ll let you know. Again, thanks for the input. Fly safe my friend.

    How do you react when an aeroplane buzzes you??

    • @MidFlightCrisis
      @MidFlightCrisis  3 дні тому

      @@KeithLyons-z4h if I’m honest, I keep well away from aircraft. My ‘gaggle’ flight software tells me and shows me of any aircraft in the vicinity. I then make sure there is plenty of height separation. Also, I don’t fly in their airspace. That said, I have had aircraft near me. I just make sure I keep away.

    Me too! I, by chance, found the sport of paramotoring and began my research. I have lined up training, costs, and risks and I am determined to fly. My obstacle though is my wife is a hard no. I’ve invited her to come to the training field and watch pilots fly, my instructor suggested a short tandem flight, and I’ve shown her videos of people my age flying. She still is a no. To pursue the sport without her support seems disrespectful. Any advice?

    • @MidFlightCrisis
      @MidFlightCrisis  2 місяці тому

      @@jayscherotter0169 hey, it does look very dangerous looking in from the outside. My wife was bought into this, as long as I flew with a reserve. Which is the right thing to do anyway. It’s actually a very safe sport, you can put her mind to rest that if you have an engine failure, you will easily still land. And you will always have a reserve. Show her my videos, I’ve not had any accidents or injuries and in my opinion it it safer than riding my motorbike! There are also apps like ‘Gaggle’ which means you won’t get lost and you can keep tabs on your friends flying near you. I think if you also show her (selected videos) of guys like Tucker Gott, Mark Allison, Paranoob, you will see that 99% of their flights are safe. You will have to try and win her through by sharing it with her, show her videos of how safe the sport is, skyschool fo great training videos. All paramotorists take it very seriously and we are all in it for the safety aspect. When your training and flying for your first year you will also have a big safe wing. Tucker Gott has a video where he tries to collapse an Ozone Mojo and doesn’t succeed. I hope you win her over as it is an inherently safe sport as long as you respect it. Good luck
