Tamiya Incorporated (株式会社タミヤ, Kabushiki gaisha Tamiya) is a Japanese manufacturer of plastic model kits, radio-controlled cars, battery and solar powered educational models, sailboat models, acrylic and enamel model paints, and various modelling tools and supplies. The company was founded by Yoshio Tamiya in Shizuoka, Japan, in 1946.
The company has gained a reputation among hobbyists of producing models of outstanding quality and accurate scale detail. The company's philosophy is reflected directly in its motto: "First in quality around the world". Tamiya's metal moulds are produced from plans with the concept of being "easy to understand and build, even for beginners". Even the box art is consistent with this throughout the company. Tamiya has been awarded the Modell des Jahres (Model of the Year) award, hosted by the German magazine ModellFan.
Products currently commercialized by Tamiya include (toy and collectibles): scale plastic model cars, aircraft, military vehicles, motorcycles, figurines, radio-controlled cars, trucks, and tanks. Tamiya also produces materials and tools, including enamel paints, acrylic paints, airbrushes, aerosol paint, and marker pens.

Went there in 2015 i loved it went nearly every night i was hooked.
Yeah, it sure is a great shop for the Tamiya lover 👍
@Tamiya Australia i bought a ready to run frog and went to the tamiya dirt rc track in shizouka gee it was fun. Only seeing it on Tamiya rc ads then to finally be at the track was great.
Was just there on the 20th of march our last day in Tokyo before flying back to Sydney. I couldn't help my self and picked up a Black edition Egress.
Japan was amazing and so was this store, so much fun :)
Oh, that is awesome.. I think it always makes buying a kit a little more special when you pick it out yourself and bring it back Home, rather than ordering online. And the Black Egress is AMAZING too :)
@@tamiya_australia its actually my first Tamiya purchase. I always wanted an Egress or an Avante when I was a little kid but my parents couldnt afford it. It was my first time in Japan with my wife and I was like we gotta go to an official Tamiya store. I saw the Egress there and was like yup i'm getting that. It made it more special cause the Egress is made in Japan. So picking it up from the offical store while in Japan and it was made in Japan felt very special. Im still contemplating buying an 2011 Avante LOL.
Even after all these years I still find this stuff fun and very nostalgic :)
