If you're knowledgeable in any of these things discussed in this video, drop some education here in the comments! I'd love to continue to learn. (Model trains, cars, planes, rockets, marbles, pressed steel toys, wooden clocks, matchbox cars, slot cars, vintage advertisements, old bb guns, and anything else you think is important, there's a ton lol)
I used to sell on ebay back in the 90s. I would always put auctions at 1 cent and set them to last as long as possible. Things have changed a lot since then but this had the advantage of having the lowest fees and the low price would cause many to bid early and I think fomo kept many coming back. Not sure how applicable this is any longer but I wonder if making small lots and setting them to 1 cent would work for you saving you the trouble of knowing what things are worth and letting the customers tell you by having them compete against one another.
Chase and Skyler, I spent many an hour at Ron's store in Richmond. When I say it was packed to the gills, I am not kidding. You could barely walk through the store because there was stuff all over the place. I was one of the few people he ever let go downstairs at the store. The basement of the store was packed even more than the main floor. He had stuff stacked from the floor to the ceiling with only two small aisles to walk down. It was amazing! I am so happy that you guys are able to purchase his remaining inventory! Ron could not ask for better people to work with!
Ron is passing his legacy on to Chase, what an honor. The gesture of gifting the coin was proof that he chose the right person to pass his lifes work along to!
You and Ron totally have a grandpa/grandson relationship. I love to see it. He's such a great guy. And the coin was such a thoughtful gift. Definitely taking notes on how to create better relationships
You guys are one of the only channels that really shows the work that goes into reselling , I'm happy you guys showcase that because other channels don't show the dirty side of reselling. You guys have made my work ethic shoot up , I seriously look up to you guys .
Chase and the crew the thumbs up button isn’t enough for this video they need to have a love it button, Ron is pretty much passing along not only 50 years of memories but also a full on business this guy took a lot of good care of these items over the years and and seems like an awesome man glad you guys where able to get this connection
My gf me I inherited her uncles house after he passed and it was FULL of trains/comics/coins/computers even after 3+ years theres still rooms full of the stuff lol
The Algorithm brought me here, and I can't believe that this just recently happened. Chase, you and the boys will learn a lot from acquiring this collection. Lots of vintage things, collectables. And I am sure there will be some rare items seemingly made from Unobtainium and Unicorn Horn. Congratulations. I am hoping i will be able to see items @ your ebay store.
The coolest thing about this video. Is you guys get all the stuff, but the money Ron gets, can go to enjoying this rest of his eventful life. Well done boys!
Chase, everything you do with the old Prieh's Hobby stuff is such bittersweet nostalgia for me, and even more bizarre to know you guys visited the next town over from me! Glad to see Ron is doing well. Michigan is full of so many great people, keep up all the good work and thanks for inspiring in my own reselling side hustle.
I have learned a lot from both your channels so I want to thank you for that. Today's vlog was one of my favorite episodes when you gave Ron that coin. He seemed almost emotional with joy and your kindness. I hope you cherish that memory and it stays with you till the end. Ron to me comes across as a man that does not show that kind of emotion but it almost came out on this video. I have always respected you but that of what you did brought a new respect for you, at least from my view. You are a good soul and your parents brought you right. I am 44 and don't see much hope in a lot of the younger generation but you and your crew are good people. It is nice seeing good people these years so again thank you and keep up the kindness and great vlogs.
It’s so enjoyable listening to you all talk and share stories and information and joke and laugh, not to mention Ron is in incredible shape watching him keeping up with you younger guys. Thanks for being so kind to such a wonderful guy.
Ron is an absolute treasure. Really commendable on how all the guys interacted with him. He reminds me a lot of my grandad and although he didn’t have a shop or a house full of stock, his shed was a treasure trove of hand made tools and come-in-handys. Great video!
Easiest thing to remember when backing, my OTR trainer tought me, turn towards the problem you want to go away. Meaning if your trailers coming more into view in your left or right mirror turn towards it to get it to go back to straight or the other side.
I simply would have felt like I’d died and gone to heaven if I had an opportunity like this. It compiles all the things I’ve enjoyed in this life including ‘the hunt’ and discovery of going through everything, separating, cataloging, drooling. Oh my God….My love is in the hobby industry. Planes, trains, toys, coins, etc., all of it.
Ron is a gem of a man. Chase and the CATRP crew are great people and you can tell are well on their way to becoming lgends like Ron. You all are great examples of Godly upright Men all around.
It's great that all that stuff still has the potential to go to an owner that will appreciate it and not just be thrown out by a family member who inherits it 🙌
The people you can meet who share a similar passion are one of my favorite parts of this business would of love digging through the train stuff a favorite of mine to sell.
Wonderful you showed that old gentleman a lot of repack and your surprise made him so happy. Just wanted to say I wish you both all the best in your life .
Awesome Video. I love people like Ron keeping the Dreams alive of new collectors and resellers. The stuff is out there if you are fair and willing to work for it. Great Video
I know I enjoyed this enough to subscribe. I had no idea I'd be fascinated with what you're doing until I watched the entire video. And props to Ron for the noble career of making people happy.
I followed just from this one view and seeing the comments below. What a great following you have and I've done what you are doing so its a great channel. Oh wow those marbles are so awesome and I'm sure valuable. Brings back good memory's with my brothers and our back yard we had perfect place for marbles.
I'm not sure how far you guys are willing to go out but there is a store 30 minutes for me who is planning on getting out of the retro buisness. I think he has been open for 30 years and is selling a bunch of video games, collectibles, retro toys and dozens and dozens of consoles of all variety. So many video games, consoles, boxes, everything
Just wanted to say that after rewatching, you guys got very rare items and priceless items that's worth a fortune to museums as well. You should get some items appraised in case. Because they might surprise you of course. That little cola pinball machine is cool gimmick back then and is worth quite good price. I work in museum lol just saying my two cents 👍
I would have loved to hang out with him at his store for a few days. The stories he could tell! Not just about his store or hobbies, but his overall life stories are pretty amazing, informative and funny.
I love that old guy Ron. What a great relationship you built quickly with him! You guys definitely got a great amount of quality items plus with more to come. That's friggin awesome. Great video. Looking forward to seeing what you guys dig out of the boxes. Good luck!!
I just wanna say I didnt warm up to Skyler right at first when he was brought on (been watching for about 2 years.) but honestly i love him. the amount of dad jokes and things he says just gets me and i find myself belly laughing constantly either from his jokes or when he missing something and its just so wholesome and funny. i hope you never get rid of his as i feel like hes become a part of the brand at this point.
Wow what you just bought is one Helluva of a collection a little bit of every hobby out there and game play to enjoy it a amazing what one person can collect in 50 years great job sealing the Deal with the Man he's an amazing guy with great heart and soul and I know what he means about eating right my Father is 87and let me tell you he can run circles around me the old man is amazing we have a shop and He's there every day of the week. Really Cool, Ron reminds me of my Local Gaming Store Owner. Good Dude and you can tell! Goodluck sorting and unpacking. Can't way to see the next video at Uncle Ron's.
Without a doubt there are at least 50 three digit items that you just happen to have shown such as the Kiss “Love Gun” album promo and those piles of track for the different gauges of trains.
WOW! this reminds me of myself when I bought a store out with all Atari software I was one of the biggest dealer back in the time, didn't make that much money but I enjoyed going to the shows in NJ and NY Tri-state area and meeting a lot of people.
Tell me your a city boy with out telling me your a city boy…. “I can’t back up a trailer “ Haha good stuff guys! Kicking butt and taking names ! I’m in Texas 89 feels like winter to us 😂 I woke up today it was 101 feels like 111 by lunch time!
I'm sad that he had to sell the collection. But to you guys it gonna get sold and you'll be able to continue to do what you love and he'll have cash in his pocket.
games...games...games man where do you put all of this stuff...this buy out...the barn buy out...and your other finds...epic man...out of everyone I watch you are on a whole different level
Backing a trailer usually takes people a few times of doing it before it becomes just as easy as regular backing, but if it's your first or even second try, it can be really hard.
Keep your eyes open for Triang Train sets, more so for the ones that came off the Queen Mary Toy shop, Cunard had some special builds made for them by Triang, some of them like the one I got the carriages have lights built into them. These are worth a lot. What I am interested in are 45 records from the 50s to 80s, Also being interested in knowing how much that Jan & Dean LP go's for, I have one my self that I will be letting go soon
I'd suggest an 18' box truck for the next run. If you are getting the display cases (I couldn't tell if he was saying to take them or not) a 24' box truck should do. You can rent one from just about anywhere, including storage facilities. And I definitely saw a James Bond Aston Martin DB5 and the Monkeemobile in that case at the end. Corgi's I'd say. Probably vintage. I don't think they were produced past the 80's. ***** Ignore me. I just watched part II. Good job and still not enough room. He's going to keep you coming back. Bet you aren't complaining.

Some model trains are worth a fortune. Just make sure you inspect everything thoroughly!
I’m definitely interested in the vinyl records. Even everything you have

was his hobby shop in Indiana?
@@flagcityparts No, it was in Richmond, Michigan.
@@frankguastella3305 I was asking because I've sold don coins years ago working with a national coin dealer..
@@flagcityparts Ron is still very active in the coin market. He is still doing about 20 shows per year.

17:00 Now, THAT is a REAL TOY --- precision-built from REAL METAL and MADE TO LAST! Well, and it DID last --- still looks almost new! Too bad we probably couldn't safely allow children to actually play with this lovely collection, though --- most likely every colored surface is coated with lead paint, and goodness knows how much trace presence of other nasties like arsenic, cadmium, or mercury might also be present somewhere in it's construction! Don't Under Value the Items that you're getting .
And don't let anyone rip you off by giving you a lower price .
Ron sold me my first Nintendo DS! Absolutely insane to just have this randomly pop up in my recommendations. Bought lots of coins from him too
Wow. Lol that’s crazy. Ron is a legend

Cant believe how sharp that man is for his age.
This guy is truly one of a kind.
I would like to see the young version of the old man when he was a retailer and selling those things.
Ron’s the man 🙏🏻 what a guy,great video of amazing finds ❤️👍🏻
I’m happy I randomly came across this video! Great video! This old dude is awesome.
Without a doubt there are at least 50 three digit items that you just happen to have shown such as the Kiss “Love Gun” album promo and those piles of track for the different gauges of trains.
I would say he was entirely truthful when he said he ran the whole store by himself. He always had his dog helpers with him from what I remember!
Pro tip, when you rent uhaul, always go one size bigger. It is always cheaper than more trips or another rental.
WOW! this reminds me of myself when I bought a store out with all Atari software I was one of the biggest dealer back in the time, didn't make that much money but I enjoyed going to the shows in NJ and NY Tri-state area and meeting a lot of people.
This was my childhood hobby shop in Richmond- if you find any old griffeys they are 100% mine that i sold to buy roller blades.
This is a true inspiration on how to make a connection
Love the content and happy y’all are doing well! Love these large buy outs. A resellers dream
Congratulations guys. Hard work pays off. Good luck on the sales.

Backing a trailer usually takes people a few times of doing it before it becomes just as easy as regular backing, but if it's your first or even second try, it can be really hard.
Now that, it a brilliant video. I love sourcing. But to see all that. Wow!
Such a cool gesture, I love these guys
Keep your eyes open for Triang Train sets, more so for the ones that came off the Queen Mary Toy shop, Cunard had some special builds made for them by Triang, some of them like the one I got the carriages have lights built into them. These are worth a lot.
What I am interested in are 45 records from the 50s to 80s, Also being interested in knowing how much that Jan & Dean LP go's for, I have one my self that I will be letting go soon
If you're passing through Houston, TX, come and visit us at G&G Model Shop. Oldest in the state and going on 78 years of business next year.
Video literally cracked me up every time you put a edit over curse words…video was great and just fun to watch…congrats you guys got it going on.
This was nuts. Hope one day I cam buy a huge collection of barns like this.
Great guy. What a collection.
That PT Cruiser Zippo is cooler than the car itself.
I just discovered this channel. I enjoy the banter and realistic price estimates. Also, Chase' voice reminds me of H. John Benjamin.
Absolutely amazing guys. Great vid. Amazing pick up. And Ron is a legend!!! 🔥🔥🔥
