This is something that I want to go do so freaking badly in japan. I feel like you get a look at what normal everyday Japanese people like/ do ect. I know that the hobby off ones are more mainstream and they keep the good stuff more or less but I'd also like to go to the smaller second-hand stores in Japan. I know it's tacky but I'm in love with these videos.

9:10 - The game you picked up is one of the Jikkyo Powerful Pro Baseball games, the reason you probably find them in every store you go into for so cheap is the same as like... going to American thrift stores or pawn shops and seeing Madden or FIFA or NHL games from 10 years ago for like $5. They put them out every single year, update the rosters, maybe add a couple gameplay features, and then everyone buys that year's game and the previous year's game is obsolete. I have a couple of these Baseball games, they're pretty fun.

I've worked in a second hand store for a short time in the UK and I wish that we had anything like the thrift stores in Japan. Here in the UK you can sometimes find something cool but I usually find that items can be overpriced (at least here in London). got to love another thrift store video. What I love to do with these videos is to focus on what the camera isn't focusing on, so all the items on the side of the frame. It makes me feel like I am actually there, and being overwhelmed, and it is awesome. I am always impressed at how clean those stores are, unlike our Canadian versions. Norm, these are some of my favourite types of videos. When people in the States or Canada watch videos of Japan, we are given a video usually full of excitement, thrill, or the unusual because that is what makes for a good video; but just walking around a thrift store or a mall is a great reminder that there are a lot of people that do exactly the same things we do, so thank you for showing that.
Also I absolutely love the G-Gundam Laserdisc at 11:23, and I would love to see a video about that girl and her "Survival Games," as I see the Japanese airsoft community come across my timelines every now and again and it boggles my mind to see just how into it they get.

I love how broad yet specialized this shop is. I know all of the camera equipment probably sits at the top of your list but I really zeroed in on the records and the small cheap figurines. The figurines make great souvenirs for co-workers and friends since you can squeeze them into your luggage with no issue. I also spent some time researching record bars in Tokyo for a vinyl loving friend of mine recently. Also, Tokyo has some great thrift shops that are mainly geared towards clothing out towards Harajuku. We were able to find some really good deals.

I love the look of this thrift stores, they are so much larger than the ones I'm used to and seem to have way better potential gems. Also would love to see japans "survival games"

I love these thrift shop videos. I can’t wait to try to see what treasures I will find some day once I get to visit. Also there is a anime/manga based off survival games, which until just found out is REAL! I would love to see you try to play survival games and getting to see it in live action.

To me Japanese second hand stores were all super overwhelming but fun at the same time. My favourite thing is how the quality is usually really great, like people actually take care of their stuff (or the stores only take and sell things with good condition). My favourites are thrift stores for clothes though haha
