One thing I love about Volvo is regardless what spec u buy, main safety features will never been compromised. Unlike many so called mainstream brands or major brands, they differentiate value of life of consumers based on how much u manage to pay
I love the mind-blowing acceleration. I think I can live with the hard suspension. I am taking delivery of my C40 on Saturday. Let see how it goes over the next few months.

So impressive with the torque! I have tested drive C40 and it was definitely super impressive in performance, stability and control. Good EV for short and long journey. ❤

Top spec in uk priced gbp 66k (from car wow) while I-pace is gbp 69k. Look how far the price diff here in Msia. Its a good price this C40 here in msia
Same problem with Tesla 3 and Y. Panoramic roof without blind/shade. Really hot.
When the temp rise up to 37C few days back, when charging in the sun, aircond blowing full speed still cannot beat the heat from the glass surface.
Can feel hair is hot, but hand and feet frozen.
It is a torture. Slightly feels better when driving, less heat from above. Wind cooling the glass surface, I think.
Need to find a big sunshade, in the mean time, put on cap while driving, especially during this fasting month.
Get a neck fan. I use one in Bangkok during summer
In bangkok the c40 dual motor has 240k cashback deal, approx 2.55m ( finance only) - single motor is 2.1m (cash). But now tesla Y LR is even cheaper, almost same. Cannot decide.
The rear is so beautiful
Does Malaysia get the Dynamic chasis or touring chasis? Apparently the touring setup provides a more forgiving ride

Never a Volvo for me . Had v60T5. Nice car . Enjoyable to drive . However it was spending weeks at the workshop costing thousands every time . Sold when it was 8 yrs old when the gearbox kaput. Now I drive a Mazda . May not be as premium as a Volvo but I have a car to drive rather than a car constantly at the workshop .
Forget the glc get this instead

EV like this provide the quickest acceleration with the cheapest price compared to ICE. BMW 340i xdrive is the nearest comparison ICE, which is RM100k more. Though it has a quicker acceleration. 03-0.5s quicker I think.
Stablemate V60 T8, hybrid, is RM30k more expensive. Also with this kind of acceleration.
Anyone got the road tax estimations just in case government don’t exempt the road tax for ev

I don’t get it why people are mind-blown with it’s acceleration time. For an EV with over 400ps, 4.9s is pretty slow. Kia EV6 GT-line with 325hp has the same 0-100 time.
Same goes to other volvo models, their T8 twin engine were class leading in terms of Hp but in real world, they’re the slowest among it’s competitors.
The EV6 GT-Line is 5.2 sec. In real life tho, the C40 feels significantly more explosive on full throttle.
Also as mentioned in the video, you'd have to turn on Sport mode in the EV6 to get full performance. If you're driving in normal or eco as most owners would, and then need a quick burst of acceleration, it's nowhere near as quick as the C40 (no drive modes, full power always available).
But anyway this is all relative. Both cars are already over-powered, way more power than most people will ever need.
But one definitely accelerates harder than the other 😉

Volvo C40 is a scam! My 2023 Volvo C40 has a steering wheel that vibrates very badly, making it quite annoying and UNSAFE to drive, and Volvo doesn’t want to fix it. Lemon Law
Its unlikely that they dont want to fix unless the problem is not obvious i.e problem only occurs when u driving but when u send to SC the problem seems to vanish. If that the case, have u tried to deactivate the lane keep assist? Either that, if problem still persist, i suggest u dont just complain here in youtube, but go by process and u will definately win.
