🔵 { O mankind, worship your Lord, who created you and those before you, that you may become righteous - ( 2:21 )
🔴 [He] who made for you the earth a bed [spread out] and the sky a ceiling and sent down from the sky, rain and brought forth thereby fruits as provision for you. So do not attribute to Allah equals while you know [that there is nothing similar to Him]. ( 2:22 )
🔵 And if you are in doubt about what We have sent down upon Our Servant [Muhammad], then produce a surah the like thereof and call upon your witnesses other than Allah, if you should be truthful. ( 2:23 )
🔴 But if you do not - and you will never be able to - then fear the Fire, whose fuel is men and stones, prepared for the disbelievers.( 2:24 )
🔵 And give good tidings to those who believe and do righteous deeds that they will have gardens [in Paradise] beneath which rivers flow. Whenever they are provided with a provision of fruit therefrom, they will say, "This is what we were provided with before." And it is given to them in likeness. And they will have therein purified spouses, and they will abide therein eternally. ( 2:25 )

My congratulations to you gentlemen. Truly a major leap forward in aviation technology!
It's a magnetic rudder. It works by swopping the polarity of the magnet in the tail. That either attracts or repels the magnet in the rudder, causing the it to go left or right.
you need to start mass producing these. I'll buy one!!!
Awesome. Ithink CG must be more frontier to be dragless and more efficient.
Fantastic little plane,I hope you are successful in claiming the record.Happy flying all the best David.
put an ant on it and get the record for manned aircraft
Ant ain't no man.
Wouldn't that then be the smallest wingspan R/C anted aircraft?
Oh, ... Stunt-Pilot-🐜 's are pretty rare & hard to find! ;]
Anted, not manned. Also, Ant Ace.
Smallest bugged aircraft perhaps.
You should make it product and sell it on Amazon for beginner pilots who don't have much space.
Agreed
If it's "half as small", doesn't that mean it's twice as big?...
WOKE
Holy shit man
😂
The grammar police have landed.
James Cree. Sure does. I’m just wondering if a model half as small costs half as less to build 🤔🤯
For increased performance, I suggest an Estes D12-7.
haha smol plen go zoom
WHAT A GREAT JOB & GREAT AIRPLANE. WORLD RECORD.
No ifs NO ors just a WORLD RECORD.
Brilliant! Love the simplicity of this tiny thing.
An American built an 85 mm wingspan p51 mustang with working flaps and retractable gear as well as ailerons and worked out a 3 axis gyro system so it would fly. There’s a great video of him flying outdoors. It’s just hard to see.
That's impressive. It flies just as long as most Air Hogs planes, on a smaller battery than they use. And it flies better too!
Well done sir !
cool as f**k. soon as its available i can set up a business delivering rice and peas
XD
...one at a time ;)
That's the way to push these parts into the best and smallest plane I have ever seen. You win, great work. Now to see if I can copy your work just to have some fun.
Gary
Well done excellent model, I hope your record was recognised
Well done. I don't know anything about these, nor do I have anything better or worse. I don't want to know where to buy one either. I just want to say good luck in your quest for a world record, and again, well done!
nice
nice little thing! Well done.
i understand what people complain, not entirely full control as in true snaps to the right. On the other hand i'm into micros too and i know what challenges this brings.. Good job
Abel,
Install a training hoop.
It will greatly minimize the chances of catastrophic damage while in learning mode.
Genuine Aeromodeling at its best , well done 👏
The model shown was designed and built just for the record attempt and as far as I know is not on sale.
Is it for sale 7 years later?
As others have said it's called high alpha. It is still flying. Basically, anything that is uses aerodynamic lift is considered flying.
Beautiful model.
That is very cool. I hope you get the record.
The Wright brothers would be proud! I know that I am impressed.
Might want to try building one on a 3D printer. I understand that those can print moving parts like the control surfaces together as a unit: the axel pin parts can be made into their corresponding holes so that there is nothing to assemble, and they cannot come apart, unless they break. Thus these parts can be made lighter and tighter.
I fly all kinds of R/C aircraft. You should be required to do a simple figure 8 to demonstrate the aircraft's ability to change direction. If it can only go left, then it is not completely controllable or he is a bad pilot, or both. I have a commercially available "Ember 2" that I could do all kinds of aerobatics in the space he was flying in. I also have a "Night Vapor" that flies half the speed of his micro plane. Yes, they are bigger, but adding wing area would have helped him.
Nice work! Elegant design!
That is outstanding. Very well done on making it and for the new world record
I have seen smaller. It sure would have been nice to send a shout out to the folks at Plantraco--Look out I am now motivated to crush this record!
Since it flies at an angle of about 45% it's half a helicopter. In fact, you could give it a 1 inch wingspan and have it fly at about 90%.
again as a modeler I have seen indoor free flight. I haven't participated in but not microfilm planes. I do not have the patience for those delicate crafts. I have seen those in a radio controlled set up. which is quite amazing for their extremely slow speed but of course they must be much larger than you are playing to create a lift. they have inspired the gossamer Condor human powered flight. which was just a large microfilm playing
Ant-Man wants this!
Actually, you can have full control of a radio control plane using only the rudder and engine. The faster the engine turns the propeller, the more lift you gain and the higher the plane will fly. Using the rudder also banks the plane slightly, because the aircraft is so light, the rudder is enough to turn the plane. If the plane was larger and carried momentum then ailerons would be needed as the rudder would merely change the direction the plane is facing and not change the direction of flight.
that should be put in production
Terrific! I'm predicting house fly sized rc flying vehicles in 10 years
Well, we're 6 years in.
He was flying in circles due to the fact that if he flew straight at any point he would not have enough space to turn, I know this because i regularly fly model planes indoors. The first RC plane I ever flew had no control surfaces what so ever and just used to small motors which changed speeds so that you could turn and gain altitude. :)
Fantastic, we are proud of you
The high angle of attack leads me to believe it could be much more efficient with a greater wingspan.
The world record is based on , duration, controllability, design - AND WINGASPAN. Figure it out....
Hey, there was a guy who made a 1:96 P51 Mustang. It had retracts, navigation lights, ailerons, flaps, rudder, elevator, and machine gun lights/sound!
Outstanding....and at least twice as big. The record is for size (wingspan) and duration.
Someone mentioned that they should have invented wireless electricity and then the tiny plane could have flown forever. Actually if Tesla were around he probably would have enjoyed assisting putting together a wirelessly powered plane. All you need do back then was tell him it was impossible, stand back, and watch him work furiously at making something possible.
This is a really neat little plane. Quite amazing miniature engineering.
Darrell Moth In a way, yes. But radio worked because of a very long aerial and a crystal. None of those would be good on a small plane...
Did you see the DARPA research project using focused microwave energy in a beam to keep a surveillance plane aloft? So. it may have turned out not practical but the guys with tax payer dollars were sure giving it a try.
Screw that J.P. Morgan dude for stopping funds to Tesla. Honestly, what an impressive technology he was after, only to be stopped by financial issues.
I agree
Great fun and a super piece of lightweight engineering, congrats to you John.
Good job & good luck on the record.
Very cool. Nice engineering.
It looks more like a power stall hover than flight. Impressive none the less.
look at the wing design. at that size I don't think regular flight can occur.
The wing is set at a high angle of attack whilst the motor/prop is pointed downwards. In flight, the motor naturally assumes a horizontal attitude making the wing's angle of attack even higher. Also, the airflow from the prop is directed at the severely under-cambered wing and is deflected downwards - not exactly a "blown" wing but it does increase lift. It glides at a much flatter angle with the motor off so maybe power stall is about right. All this was to make it manageable and more importantly, slow it down - high speed at this size, try and follow it - especially with a video camera.
69mm wingspan just makes it 69times better
I real achievement. I put more CA on my planes than that weights in total ! Great stuff guys. Proud of you !!
awesome! its now 3 years later what is in your bag of goodies
I've watched this a few times. Incredible. The prop is a Pico Z rotor? I think. I kept a load of these somewhere and cant think where. With the idea of a small multi motor plane. something like a Micro Horton but it will never happen. Lots of dreams and no time to follow them. Fantastic Model, is it still the World Records. The actuator looks similar to a type we sell. Maybe yours is smaller? Not sure. Amazing! Keep it up!
Dreams? Make time....and yes, it still holds the record.
Search for "Micro 9g Light Aircraft Ready to Fly". You can use a similar board and make your own airframe.
Judge the boys by the size of their toys!
I really hope you got recognition you aimed for!
wonderful, well done
Stunning engineering, a great achievement
You need to market that. Call it the mosquito.
There's no way that thing could cost more than $30, so it'd be great to see this mass-produced.
nice model.I build one , but is only a glider.I will try to make a light control line ....thanks for the great inteligence.
by varying the current through the electromagnet you can vary the force produced, if the control surfaces are sprung loaded a small force will only cause a small deflection and a larger force a larger deflection. Voltage wont make so much difference although usually by altering the voltage you will alter the current aswell so that might well work.
Whether or not that is being done I do not know, but its possible.
NOW THAT! looks like a plane I could enjoy flying
Great video. Keep them coming. William
Damn, have to admit that's sick.
I just got my first RC helicopter and and after watching all the RC crashes on UA-cam lol I'm afraid to fly my yikes
Take a look at the HeliTeach series of videos available on DVD, Blu-ray and online streaming at www.trapletshop.com. They'll take you all the way from first steps to aerobatics.
Will cost you a few rotor blades, gears and frame parts but eventually you will get the hang of it ; -) it's a small sacrefice for all the fun you're getting from flying
Abel Salinas what are yikes?
+Buzz Feguzz

"69 mm wingspan"
Nice
Nice
I forgot I even wrote this comment
Nice
Nice work!
Totally wrong. My first planes were a goldberg mirage, 54" wingspan and rudder only and a 2 meter glider rudder only - no ailerons. It has little or nothing to do with size or momentum - it has everything to do with dihedral. A plane with no dihedral will only yaw, but as you add dihedral (or polyhedral in the case of many gliders) the rudder also causes bank.
The extra 300 has zero dihedral, while a quick search says the 737 has 6° dihedral. Swept wings also have an effect on roll stabilty.
Nice one, absolutely loving that.
the receiver is made by Plantraco type in that name you can buy the RX TX and actuator as well as the foam to build the plane if you look at my videos the planes I make are 6" WS 1/72 scale using the gear this guy uses
Is this in retail? It looks really awsome
Beautifull, Just Beautifull. This is a Handy job weldone...:-)
I would never attempt to win a "Mine is smaller " contest. Just doesnt sound good in the media these days.
Fantastic little guy
It was nice for him to say I used Plantraco Equipment once in his moment in the sun.
Plantraco equipment is what he used and It the best micro RC company around I've used there stuff and had a good out come every time.
Awesome, wow what a clever guy!
Now someone should do 68mm and takes his record lol
Oh... Just now realized this was 2010. Guess you're in the book by now.
Yep - Guinness verified the record 6 months after the attempt. Still stands.
Anyone interested in radio controlled model gliders and electric powered aircraft should read Quiet & Electric Flight International magazine. You'll find features, reviews, show reports and expert advice for everyone from beginners to experienced RC pilots. There are also adverts from all the top manufacturers and suppliers. Check out the website for more details.
Its like NASCAR, turning left, turning left, turning left....OOH LEFT TURN!...turning left
you put a lot of time, money and effort into building it.
Amazing! Congratulations.
The propeller doesn't have enough power to keep it in the air without the wings, and it would not be able to fly around in a prescribed circle. So, it's not hanging it's flying.
So cute, thank you.
I'm Nicolas Paquet de previous holder of this record, you made a nice plane.
just to clear up something the Reciever is 900 Mhz IT IS NOT IR
Good job and good luck! I think you've made it. Please, start selling them!!!
Turn right and i will be really impressed!!
Watch it all.....
this is a world record untill someone cheats and pretends they are flying a housefly that flew in from outside
@buddingvideos Yes - the original un-edited video shows figure 8's and right turns, but I kept them to a minimum as the high right turn speed meant that the cameraman was struggling to keep it in frame. But apart from all that, it's a right little sod in right turns! I've now made a much better design with 2 contra rotating torque cancelling motors which I'm trying to put into production.
Does it still hold the record? Hard to imagine someone could make an even smaller one.
Yep - I've made smaller since the record was set but they cannot fly under control for longer than 6 minutes 56 seconds and therefore not verified by Guinness Records
@@johnwakefield7781 That's cool!! Thanks for answering!
now youve got me thinking, the tail rotor of a mini RC helicopter, some plastic and paper tiny wings, held together by paperclips. hmmmm....
Epoxy? Why use that? It's just about the heaviest glue you could choose.
they need to legalize wireless electricity that way the plane can fly for ever.
IMPOSTER
Also, wireless electricity is illegal?
Also... Wireless electricity exists!?!? (With a range of more than a couple mm)
That's craey guys !
@Meyers200 I'm trying REAL hard - Plantraco have showed a vague interest, but don't hold your breath! I've now got a much better design, with 2 contra rotating, torque cancelling motor/props which is a much better flier and I'm going to put both aircraft into limited production myself . Order soon to avoid disappointment!!
Dit is een goed en grappig vliegtuig
Fantastic. I'm sure that this record will be broken within a year. I love to see people push the limits.
There is no one physically within the aircraft, making it an unmanned aircraft.
Very cool!
