With CO₂ emissions rising as they are, it’s not surprising we’re seeing these effects. I don’t think many people realize just how drastically emissions have increased in recent years. I actually made a video on this topic on my channel, breaking down the data-it's pretty eye-opening!
The government of Canada on Saturday apologized to the Inuit of northern Quebec for the mass killing of sled dogs in the 1950s and 1960s, which devastated communities by depriving them of the ability to hunt and travel. A 2010 report from Jean-Jacques Croteau, a retired Superior Court of Quebec judge, found Quebec provincial police officers killed more than 1,000 dogs "without any consideration for their importance to Inuit families." "Without investigation and without asking the owners about the importance of the dogs they wanted to kill, without inquiring whether the dogs they wanted to kill constituted a real, serious and current danger to the people." "This was a horrendous betrayal...it should not have taken decades for Canada to apologize to Nunavik Inuit," he said The federal government's role in it, Croteau found, was failing to intervene or condemn the actions.

Not a shred of credit to inventing the steam engine, creating advanced property and business laws, or establishing a scientific society? No acknowledgment of universities flourishing while South American civilizations were butchering people on pyramid tops? What about groundbreaking scientific discoveries, freedom of thought, medical advances, financial markets, shipbuilding innovations, or metal smelting breakthroughs? People fighting over money. I said from the beginning this whole climate b.s. is all about money, how to obtain money.
how about $0
How about minding your own business and bring coal into the market and the developing countries can kickstart industrialization the way you guys did???
Ahh, that’s where the £11 billion went
Good it is a con
Money does not stop Pole shifts.
@@admiralradish Tell me you don't know shit about science and trust Alex Jones in less words.
@ghintz2156 Right, like does he have any idea what poles shifting would look like!? Seriously he hears scientific terms and concept and then rejects what science says! Honestly some people don't have enough intelligence to be classified as human.
Magnetic pole shifting would not affect climate, it would affect cancer rates though as the shift takes decades if not centuries and our planet’s ability to deflect the solar wind and cosmic rays (radioactive energy) is weakened significantly. It would cause aurora seemingly randomly worldwide.
@ghintz2156 the South Pole is not in the North 😅
Actually it can.
All we have to do is to create a magnet big and strong enough.
And turns out we can do it, it just has to go around the world.
Countries walked? How did a country get into a room in the first place?
Funny the last few of these COP meetings have been held in OIL RICH nations and of course the deals we get are crap.
The UK is no longer a rich nation, WE NEED MONEY JUST TO KEEP PUBLIC SERVICES.
then let fuel companies pay
U.K looted to be rich. That talent cant be used anymore😂😂😂
“ We cant launder money because we don’t have any!”
I want millions of dollars too! This is unfair for those who want to get rich for free and get a rolls royce for 'official' business
Finally something we can agree on! Not a penny to them!
Simple: Developing countries ("third world") are demanding a higher funding for climate-related programs budget given that they are the most affected and carry the high price of climate change brought about by excessive usage of fossil fuels/minerals extractions/CO2 emissions by developed countries (the "West").
Simple. How about minding your own business and bring coal into the market and the developing countries can kickstart industrialization the way you guys did??? We dont need your aid. Just stop lecturing
Smog from Delhi has reached Multan. It is the best remedy to control yuthis. How can smog be diverted, its natural cooling clouds are filled with dew. The same diseases are seen in Karachi as in Lahore. Pollution from burning Hindu bodies, factories and crops are the main causes of smog. There is no scientific solution to the natural smog seen in the form of smog during the snowy season.
Nah that can't be right, man-made pollution doesn't exist, haven't you seen what all the other replies are saying? 🙃
we're cooked
First of all, why the fuck are we paying for it? Second - the cheek. To get free money and then ask for it to be doubled.
Because you stole it from them during colonization (West India Company).
@@michaelkorbel4442 No we traded.
@@kevinh4869 The "Opium War" was therefore trade.
@@michaelkorbel4442 Yeah, we still traded for silver.
Also since they have now colonised us, we are even. But we gave them their country back and left, they're still here destroying ours so... actually they owe us.
Simple, because Fossil fuel is a get rich quick scheme that harms everyone.
No only climate change, it also generates pollutants and microplastics.
Plastic that use chemical that can turn frog gay btw (well, not really, but you get the point)
And it is made by using fossil fuels, just ask any petrol chemical where plastics are from.
And pollutants... well go near a Coal fired plant and see for yourself.
Same for anything petrol.
Only gas generates little.
So the other countries that are not rich are asking richer countries to pay for the damages caused to the earth, and also as insurance they do not go "well, why not? why not can we do the same?".
Focus on the shaming labour.
With CO₂ emissions rising as they are, it’s not surprising we’re seeing these effects. I don’t think many people realize just how drastically emissions have increased in recent years. I actually made a video on this topic on my channel, breaking down the data-it's pretty eye-opening!
Shut the boondoggle down, climate nonsense is done
@@michael2275 tell that to the huge abundance of hurricanes hitting my state more and more each year because the Ocean is so goddamn hot now.
The government of Canada on Saturday apologized to the Inuit of northern Quebec for the mass killing of sled dogs in the 1950s and 1960s, which devastated communities by depriving them of the ability to hunt and travel.
A 2010 report from Jean-Jacques Croteau, a retired Superior Court of Quebec judge, found Quebec provincial police officers killed more than 1,000 dogs "without any consideration for their importance to Inuit families."
"Without investigation and without asking the owners about the importance of the dogs they wanted to kill, without inquiring whether the dogs they wanted to kill constituted a real, serious and current danger to the people."
"This was a horrendous betrayal...it should not have taken decades for Canada to apologize to Nunavik Inuit," he said
The federal government's role in it, Croteau found, was failing to intervene or condemn the actions.
My thoughts are that if a poorer country accepts money from a richer country then they are dooming their inhabitants to energy poverty.
The government is guilty of treason.
There are more serious and immediate threats facing us ...in plain sight.
stop big oil companies!
Same company as energy companies who want expensive renewables
In agree richer countries should help out poorer countries the UK needs all the help it can get 😂
I would vote no on any money being given to other countries for any reason, in the USA we need to take care of our homeless, our under educated and our Vets. We should take care of our own people before politicians decide how and why our tax money is spent outside our country. It should be the will of our people for the people of our country. No other considerations should be assigned. If we fail our own people, the world at large won't care. For millions of years we have burned wood for fire to heat and cook, then we burned coal, now natural gas. Until every USA born citizen is in a warm place on cold days and nights, every USA born citizen eats 3 untainted good meals a day, can bath and have clean warm clothes, we are failing right here at home. I vote we help our own USA born citizens before we allow any monies to be sent outside our country. No debate, no discussion. Take care of our own, and demand higher food and water standards.
Tax your rich then. Try to google where most billionaires come from.
The Larger countries that claimed these poor countries and their own 100 yrs ago or so. Disgusting how larger countries mine and drill and cut down trees in these poorer countries. Then feel no responsibility to contribute to the countries clean up and rehabilitations of many very diverse ecosystems. The money is insane that they are talking about. I hope to dee a huge change by 2050!
And can we be explained as to how exactly giving a country a couple of billion stops "climate change"?
beggars can't be choosers
Bad money, nasty oil, cruel animal agriculture. Wicked. Can't even say the most true and accurate words without being censored. What is a better or more appropriate term than F that S.
So this is just about grifting?
Yep!
Always follow the money. The science is paid for
Good, save us billions!
Don't give them anything. This is a shakedown, pure and simple.
Imagine a Climate Summit Committee, sitting in a car on an extremely hot sunny day, deciding what to do!
The Mother of all Climate Summits ...
“Ladies and gentlemen, we are sitting here to debate the rising temperature. Do we open a window?" says the Chairman.
“Now just a minute,” intercedes Member number one,” what do I personally stand to lose if the said window was opened, and what will this expenditure of effort cost in the long term?
“Yes, quite so.” Member number four concurs, are we absolutely sure that the window is the cause of our dilemma, or is there another cause?”
“Indeed!” says Member number three, “how can we be certain of the physics or math?”
“What if it is proved that the sun is ultimately the cause?” Member number four suggested.
“I think more data is needed, the results carefully scrutinised and evaluated,” Member number three stated.
“Yes, and then a ballot held to see who is in agreement!” Member number two agreed.
“Ah! but if it is decided that the window is the cause and the solution to our predicament, then which window should be opened, and just how far?” Member number three postulated.
“Indeed, and for how long?” Member number one queried.
“And who shall be responsible for this task?” Member number two gasps.
“Well, obviously, someone else! Member number one rasps!
After much debate, they all duly voted, voiced their respective interests, and discussed, digressed, discussed again.
Thus, in the car, they sat, going on in strange paradox, deciding only to be undecided, resolved only to be irresolute, adamant for drift, solid for fluidity, all-powerful to be impotent.
A motion was held, dubiously ratified, altered, ratified yet again, until all concluded; it was definitely 'someone else's responsibility, moral duty even, to open the said window.
While they waited for somebody else to open the said window, all sadly expired from heatstroke!
Thus, they were enshrined, car and all, encased in a grand tomb, built from bricks of hedonistic self-indulgence.
The mortar holding them in place, made from pointless rhetoric (which was in abundant supply), poured from a bucket labelled procrastination.
And on the grey stone door was carved an ode…
They deliberated and procrastinated
Argued, while dourly emancipated
Never wavered, never paused
Fine semantics, eulogised every accord
The group to a man, all, every single one
Signed their names, and nothing was done!

Ed Miliband? Yes we have lots in our own country suffering because of this. We don’t want our taxes going to this. NO! ENOUGH!
Trump will get rid of all this nonsense. God bless America.
The money needs to be invested in their own countries. There will NEVER be enough money for poorer countries. If they walk out of the meeting, let them...they should get NOTHING
What makes people so arrogant to believe that Humans must exist indefinitely, anyway? The world will continue spinning with or without us. Let us live our lives now and stop making us miserable.

China is still classed as a developing nation
2nd or 1st biggest economy in the world
Where there's BAME there's a claim.
“It’s not a charity it’s a responsibility” - why exactly is it my responsibility to get African nations to run their countries properly? This is charity.
Global north countries are by far the biggest contributors to the climate emergency whilst global south developing nations are most vulnerable to its effects. So to put it into laymens terms for the likes of someone like you, it's like your neighbours dog shit in your garden and when you tell them to clean it up they say no its your garden you should be responsible for it. However in this situation the shit is climate breakdown.

Their scam is collapsing? Oh no. 😂
Are we seriously that dependent on cash for fixing problems we have caused as a species
Good . Waste of time
I have to wonder how money will prevent the rise of CO2 in the atmosphere?
Bad framing of it tbh. The narrative is so screwed. There is no longer term energy security or food security without us undertaking more sustainable practises. That's just a fact. At some point fossil fuels dry up, our soil quality degrades to the point you can no longer grow food.
It should be a complete no brainer to act, the fact we didn't decades ago is disgraceful. There is no economy without ecology.
All bollocks
Rich countries owe poor countries nothing!! 😞😞😊
When I hear words like 'compensation' and see protestors waving signs saying things like 'the global north must pay up' it tells me that no deal will be made with attitudes like that. The AOSIS have a point in that many islands will become, over time, uninhabitable due to rising sea levels which is not their fault but how will they spend money to prevent that?
What!, surely the British taxpayer can donate billions of pounds to help the world, I’m sure Starmer will promise massive amounts of help for the world.
Actually Starmer has already said that our contributions will not increase and that decarbonisation at home is the true goal. But you don't care about that, you just wanted a moan.
And you believe everything starmer says lol @reimant1

Dirty $$$$$$$$$$$
It's a shakedown!
payment should be proportional to the amount a country pollutes, so, for example, India and china shoould pay far more than the UK and eu member states.....
Carbon accumulates.
Total carbon emission historically UK does have a very large contribution, not mention that even now it has high emission rates per capita.
EU also is very large contributor.
So whoever has made the largest contribution to this mess, can pay .
ONE BIG SCAM
Absolutely con world is fine and has been for million of years and will be for many more years ...its all total crap TAX TAX TAX TAX TAX
Poor countries are not emitting. So for them not to go to use fossil fuels which they have as free resources in their country, someone has to pay. Rich nations emit highly so they have to pay.
