I'll always love Cyndaquil. He was my first starter when I seriously got into Pokémon. Anytime I see him in a game I make it my mission to have him.
Mudkip was always my favorite Pokemon, he's so cute and strong. 😊💪

Yes and well described too as in game he is prob one of the most OP starters. I gotta stick with original 3 but the mud Kip being 4th, I can’t complain then. Although idk if the list is based on the last evolution. Cus if it is them torchic imo should be a lot higher just cus I don’t think aside from charizard there’s a better looking stater Pokémon in design than blaziken. And his mega evolution top 3 Pokémon.

During the wait for X and Y, I had a hard time choosing between the starters but the moment I got a dose of their last evolution, I knew I had to go with Froakie. Greninja is one of my favorite Kalos and starter Pokemon. Heck, it’s my favorite Pokémon of all time. The anime and its inclusion in Smash just makes me love it even more.
I also love Venusaur. It may be the least popular of the three Kanto starters but I still love it’s design and how consistent it’s moves are. I’m so glad X and Y gave us the opportunity to have not one but two starters. And conveniently, both of the ones I choose are some of my favorites.
Thankfully there was geninja, the other two starters suck
Me too, buddy. I remember I didn't really care about Froakie at the beginning, but Greninja is one of the best final evolution ever.

Bulbasaur has always been my favorite pokemon of all time. I love it since I was a kid, so I'm happy it was at least second place, and that's enough for me 🤗
Top 3 was obvious, I did wonder which order 2 and 3 would be
I know the OG 3 will likely never be topped in these lists, specifically Charizard, but I personally have found new favourites over the years (and yes, I've been playing since the beginning, lol.)
I think Scorbunny (Cinderace) should have been WAY higher on this list. Also, Rowlett and Chimchar as well. But at the end of the day, these are all our own opinions and preferences. It was a nice video to see clips from the Anime. :)
Torchic's pretty cool especially when it finally turns into Blaziken.

@@kemalfajar3468 it wipes Charizard I’m sorry. I used both of them in Gen 3, Blaziken is by far better, and Mega Evolution made it worse

I suspect adding either of those two might have been a bit too obvious, especially given the unfair advantage they'd have over the others

The cool thing about starters is knowing you’re helping them get stronger through evolution
Eevee has it worse because you can’t feed it any stones
And it still hates you by the end of the game since it doesn’t become espeon/umbreon
And how come your rival gets to evolve his starter?
LGPE Aren’t bad games, they’re pretty good and grinding is less tedious but pikachu and eevee do not deserve credit for being starters
Also LGPE Eevee is more like a socially acceptable audino
I love Decidueye, but there’s definitely a part of me that wanted to got through all of Sun without evolving Rowlet.

Whenever i play Pokemon games i always choose a fire type starter, because in some cultures fire is a symbol of power in fact i've always thought that fire types were the most powerful of the 3 standard starter Pokemon.
And no small wonder. Two of the three starters to be Uber in any generation-Blaziken and Cinderace-are Fire types, and Incineroar is everywhere in double battles.
Happy to see some love for bulbasaur and mudkip, its already acceptable that charizard will always be number 1 on this kind of list.
Acceptable but also always disappointing.

The first Pokemon title I played was Red, and of course, I had to have Charmander as my starter. I was also happy to get my first (somewhat rare) catch of Pickachu, who I believe was only available on Red. I still love picking the fire types whenever they are an option when I have a choice of starters.

Tepig is my favorite. I’m not a fan of its evolutions, but I love it just as a Tepig.

Yeah, Tepig is one of those starters who’s previous evolutions outshines the final one.
My favorite is Squirtle. but the best starter for the game is Bulbasaur. Bulbasaur is strong against Brock, misty, surge, if it knows a poison move strong against Erica, equal footing against koga because Bulbasaur is grass and poison. Strong against Giovanni s ground type as well.

My favorite starter is Torchic because its line ends with Blaziken, the best final starter evolution in Smogon history and a major gym wrecker in Pokémon Go.
Totodile will always be my favorite starter. The first Pokemon game I had on gameboy advance. Pokemon gold will always have one of my favorite memories growing up 😄
Rowlet is my favorite starter, but I do like all grass-type in general. Even Chesnaught the gentle giant.
I always choose the water starter 🌊
It gives you an advantage mostly at the first gym, but I also love water types
I love all the starter Pokémon from all the different generations! Whenever I start a new game of Pokémon: Sword and Shield on my different Nintendo Switch and Switch Lites, I always chose Scorbunny because for one thing, it is Goh's very first Pokémon in the anime, and second, it looks powerful enough with its evolutions and Pyro Ball move.
And my two brothers love Torchic from the Hoenn region.
Mudkip still has that meme. lol I'm mostly a water Pokemon person, yet in Shield, I actually got the bunny...he's pretty awesome. Squirtle, Piplup, Froakie, and Popilo are my faves though along with Pikachu.

My PERSONAL favorite starter pokemon is Turtwig, Diamond is the first pokemon game i started with AND i love his design as he Evolves

Nothing beats the 1st generation starters
I'm a proud first generation Pokemon Master. My first Pokemon was a Charmander. Who else is a proud first generation Pokemon master?

For me, it's always been based on the generation and typing never really thought any of them were better than the others, just they looked better than the others, for Gen 1 was hands down Charmander, 2 Cydaquill, 3 was Treecko, 4 Piplup, 5 Oshawott with Snivy being a close 2nd, 6 Fennekin with Froakie 2nd, 7 Rowlet, and 8 Sobble.

Squirtle never evolves into Balatoise.
Rowlet is also the first starter to have 4 types associated with it's line. Grass Flying Ghost and Fighting

Playing Pokémon throughout my life. My top starters are litten, chikorita, mudkip, chimchar, Tepig, fennekin and of course charmander
I always liked Fennekin because of Delphox honestly I like delphox because of it’s fire/psychic typing and I like how game freak did it’s design I mean yeah the hair on it’s ears looks awkward but delphox will always be my favorite Pokémon

most of the time i'll usually pick Bulbasaur or Charmander as my starter because the instruction booklet in the box the Pokemon trainer's guide says you're supposed to start out with a grass type. so 95% percent of the time i'll pick the grass type starter Bulbasaur. once i did want a Blastoise so i picked Squirtle as my starter pokemon in the red version and blue version on my game boy advance. i did struggle a lot winning battles with Squirtle before it fully evolved though and i had a hard time so picking the right starter pokemon at the beginning of the game is important but i didn't struggle as much or had a hard time in battle when i chose bulbasaur or charmander as my starter. in pokemon sword and shield for nintendo switch i usually pick scorbunny like 99.9% percent of the time "scorbunny" is the best one. but all three starters are very good and i've used all three grookey scorbunny and sobble in the games. if i don't pick scorbunny i usually pick grookey because he's cool too and really strong and powerful.

Bulbasaur is strategically the best starter since you would steam roll Brock and Misty and then Surge cant do a good damage to you
Bulbasaur is a grass poison so if it knows a poison move it's good against Erica. On equal footing with koga since it can't be poisoned by muk or wheezing. And it can wreck Giovanni's ground type Pokemon.
I always picked Charmander because I considered that "Hard Mode"

There's also the Toxic+Leech Seed mechanics in Gen 1 which made Venasaur nearly unbeatable if you didn't have Mewtwo or Alakazam
The only gym leaders you'd have real trouble with are Sabrina and Blaine, the latter of whom crumples pretty hard to Starmie or Vaporeon if you have them.

Nah, Pokémon boomers just can’t let go of the past and they will always prefer the originals over everything else that came after and will always say that they are better and everything else is inferior. It’s not that the first three are “close to their hearts”, it’s just that they’re nothing but a bunch of purists and elitists.
I love Cyndaquil,but Eevee is my second favorite.
PL:A was probably the first time I had a trouble time picking as my starter.
Pikachu, Cyndaquil, & Charmander will always be my starter Aces. Nothing like flying around Kanto on Charizard.

I can't choose just one starter Pokémon, because I really love all of them and I do not want to hurt their feelings after all. I have most of the Pokémon series and the movies too. Greninja’s my favorite fully evolved starter and fully evolved Pokémon in general! However, Fennekin melted my heart before Delphox got revealed, so it made me sad that such a cute fox got done pretty dirty (and even the Pokémon Company admitted they missed up, hence why they put Braixen in Pokken rather than Delphox). Same with Chespin, a cute and incredible playful mon whose evolutions definitely detriment its appeal.
