I’m appalled by how Butterfree was never included especially with how he bonded with Ash when he was a Catterpie and also being the first Pokemon he ever caught
Let's be honest here how many episodes did Ash had Butterfree this kid even traded his Butterfree once in that short time.

Charizard - of all of Ash's Pokémon, he had to really work hard to earn Charizard's Trust.

At the first gym battle Froakie battle against Water Bug in X and Y
Charizard is my all time favorite… To this day… I’m 35 years old… When my son was born, his hospital pictures were in a Charmander costume.

At a desert I met a Sandile who wanted my sunglasses and battle with Froakie and then I caught it but it wants to keep my sunglasses and Froakie evolved into Frogadier

Pidgeotto out of all the bird Pokémon Ash owned, Pidgeotto was by far his most Loyal & being able to fly around on Pidgeot would be The Greatest thing ever.
HE EVEN CAME BACK IN THE FINALE!
In the 2nd gym battle Water Rock with Pikachu even when I was able to do it easily
Pidgeotto did tend to go unnoticed, sadly. Especially, I think, because of Ash having the three original starter Pokemon. I was even more disappointed when Ash let him go after becoming Pidgeot.
Pidgeotto didn't get much screen time. It only use to appear for its gust attack when battling team rocket etc. Didn't really get much battles under its belt. When it evolved into Pidgeot, this was the perfect opportunity for Ash to use him for battles etc. Unfortunately he had to go.
On his bird Pokémon. Imo Swellow was the one who really impressed and became a crucial member for his Hoenn team

I suppose we're similar but also different. I loved Pokémon growing up and still play most of the mainline games to this day. But the anime was too repetitive for me. I've seen many anime and Pokémon would have to be somewhere in the 30s or 40s, only held up that high because of nostalgia alone. But if its your favorite, more power to you! Always happy to talk anime and Pokémon, lol.

On Halloween 2016 I was dress as a vampire to go trick or treating some ghost Pokémon even love Halloween like Gengar when I caught it
Charizard is probably my favorite Pokémon of all time for a few reasons
His great arc in the anime of being abandoned and viewed as weak as a Charmander but becoming one of Ash’s most reliable and powerful allies
Then his other great arc of not listening to Ash for a bit but eventually becoming his 2nd greatest Pokémon ally behind Pikachu
And finally, my biggest reason for liking Charizard the most….
Charizard is one of the few Pokémon that doesn’t annoyingly say its name over and over again 😂😂😂😂
In the attack of the ultra beasts I met a cosmog name Nebby and it evolved into Solgaleo
Do you think the writers should have gotten some loose ends tied up before Ash officially made his exit from the anime like all his Pokémon except Pikachu fully evolved, him getting a Psychic and Fairy type Pokemon to complete his collection of Pokémon of different types, him getting an Eevee which should have happened during the Jhoto arc where he would have evolved it into Espeon, him catching a bird Pokémon from both the Alola region and the Galar region like Toucannon and Corviknight, Ash having another battle with Alain where he would have won and him getting more Pokémon from the Galar region especially one of the starter_Pokemon from that region? There are many more things to say but you can see where I'm going with this

Thank you for that. Pokemon holds a special place for me. It was the first show when I came to the U.S. Fair to say it's influenced me quite a bit.
In the ocean boat adventure I went fishing with my Pokémon then it attracted Kyogre then my Frogadier evolved into Greninja then took a ride on my own McQueen hoverboard craft and they even meet mermaids to calm Kyogre about some humans are harmless

I got a soft spot for Ash's Muk, as I got into Pokémon as a franchise by watching him catch it. I love how affectionate it was, and I have to imagine that Muk as a species must give some of the best hugs ever if you can get past the smell.
I also like his Unfezant, but I'm greatly saddened by her lacking track record. Not even battle-wise- Unfezant generally did pretty good... when she actually saw use! She had so much potential. Female Unfezant fly better than the males, and they gave Skyla a male Unfezant, the pieces were right there, and yet the two Unfezant never battled. They could have made her a powerhouse of Ash's team, lean into that Super Luck (assuming that's even her Ability, we don't actually know!) with her Air Cutter, maybe bring Night Slash and Sky Attack into the picture... but nope. Overshadowed by the starter trio, and outright removed from the rotation when Charizard came back. Seeing Pidove be the one to weaken Snivy for Ash to catch gave me such high hopes. Little did I know that's where she would peak.
Anyone remember when Ash/Satoshi and co met Torterra back when he was a Turtwig?
We all knew who number one was going to be. Personally, if I was in the Pokemon world, my partner would be the same as when I started in Pokemon Blue: Bulbasaur (that would've evolved to a Venasuar and gotten a Mega Evolution, A Z-Move, and Teralize-Grass form by now. lol )
On Christmas the presents I got is Mixels Myke and Riolu Charmander and Treeko
No surprise Pikachu won the no. 1 slot. I mean, come on, Pikachu is pretty much the face of the entire franchise. Another reason why Pikachu is the no. 1 choice is because at the beginning, he wanted absolutely nothing to do with Ash, but when he saw that Ash was willing to risk his own life just to save him, they became inseparable from there on

Missing Swellow and Noctowl is such a big blunder by WM. Swellow even learned fighting type move, first user of Aerial Ace in Ash's team and it's battle in a tag team with Pikachu, where it charged itself with thunderbolt was epic. No other flying type Pokémon of Ash's has even come close to it's epicness, except Pidgeotto/Pidgeot.
I am completely satisfied with the top 3 they deserve those spots in that order too thank you
In the dragon land dragon type trainers let trainers go inside to meet some dragon type like Dragonite and Goodra but to make them get caught battle against non-dragon type Pokémon like Gyrados and Areodactyl and I soon caught them and my rival caught some dragons too Salamance and Hydreigon
Kingler and Bayleef and Hawlucha and Gengar and Krookodile and Lapras and Rowlet and Torterra and Goodra and Heracross and Squirtle and Lycanroc and Bulbasaur and Infernape and Snorlax and Sceptile and Lucario and Greninja and Charizard and Pikachu makes up Ash's ultimate team on TV or on Hulu or on the DVDs
Pikachu was actually my first Pokemon cus Pokemon yellow was my first Pokemon game when I was 9 years old. Unfortunately he couldn't help me against Brock like in the show but Butterfree did. Confusion and sleep powder or id probably still be trying to beat Brock.
In the Alola Pokémon league I use Greninja Lycanroc Krookodile Charizard Lucario and Pikachu
I think if Gengar wouldve been the Haunter he used in the original series, it would've been a cool tie back. Honestly, who i want to make a comeback was Primeape. Such a cool mon, and now, with an evo, bring Ash back

Once I work for the Pokemon company, I plan to increase the number of Pokemon owned by Ash ketchum sometime after gen 10.
How about a top 10 or 20 list of Yugi Moto and Yami Yugi's best monsters?
Good list, but between 20 and 11 could have be switch or replace some better, such as Squitle over Snorlax and replace kingler with Incineroar.
I begin my Pokémon league after I beat the last 4 gym battle and I picked Greninja Pikachu Krookodile Gengar Hawlucha and Meowstic male
6 move snorlax
kingler was good
squritle should stay in that spot
and torracat was better
The 3rd choice is hard! Especially once Squirtle and Bulbasure, 1st gen are brought up.
Squirtle was always my favorite pokemon that’s why the first Pokemon I ever Masada method for a shiny was my now shiny Blastoise

Pikachu is definitely number 1 since it's been with Ash from the very beginning to the end. Also about Charizard, its definitely a top because it became so powerful after all the trials. While Charizard wasn't obeying Ash, I'm surprised Ash didn't consider letting it go because a Pokemon that doesn't listen to its trainer and does what it wants is sometimes mostly not worth it. Ash could've said "Charizard just won't listen to a thing I say and I'm at my wits end. I'm starting to think I should just let him go". And Ash has said one time maybe more "Charizard will you please listen to me for a change?" What do you all think?

If I had to add a few additions as honorable mentions I would've gone with Butterfree, Scraggy, Larvitar, Corphish, Oshawott and Mimey (Ash kept his mother's Mr Mime for a few episodes in Journeys).
So the first Z crystal I got was Waterium Z for Greninja and 2nd is a Electrium Z for Pikachu

Gengar was not the first Ghost type Ash had. During the first season (Kanto/Indigo league), Ash was able to capture Haunter and used it to beat Sabrina to get the Marsh badge. but after getting it, he left Haunter with Sabrina. Gengar would be the second.

What all Pokemon from the Galar_Region do you think would have suited Ash instead of just Sirfetched and Dracovish?
I knew that the top 3 would be Pikachu, Charizard and Greninja. Those three will always be Ash's greatest Pokémon of all time. Of course we can't disregard Lucario. If Ash had gotten Lucario earlier instead of the last part of his journey, maybe he would be able to compete with Greninja for the 3rd place, but I am glad that it actually happen. But I have to say... I got so nostalgic remembering some of those amazing Pokémon. Sceptile, Hawlucha, Lycanroc... and of course our dear Bayleef with her immense crush on Ash. It's too bad that Incineroar was not included. I always love when Ash takes his time to earn a Pokémon's trust before capturing it and Incineroar's past as a Litten was so heartbreaking... Ash helped him through its grief and just that is enough to get him a spot on the list, IMHO.
I begin graduate my elementary school in 2017 and decided to go to Alola region aka Hawaii and take some of my Pokémon Greninja Krookodile Charizard Lucario Pikachu Sceptile Gengar Dragonite Goodra

In my opinion pikachu, charizard, sceptile, infernape, greninja, and lucario would be ashs perfect team.
How come we never saw Ash with a Psychic and Fairy type Pokemon? Sure there's Mr mime who's his mom's companion but he doesn't use that Pokemon often
Top ten worst thing ash has done
1. Abandoning pikachu (pikachus goodbye)
2. Harshly scolded bayleef (turning over a new bayleef)
3. Trading his butterfree for a raticate (battle on st anne)
4. Continuing to push treecko beyond its limits (his first fight with brawly)
5. Teaming up w team rocket to sneak into celadon (pokemon scentsation)
6. Choosing caterpie to fight pigeotto
7. Forcing pikachu to battle powerful pokemon when hes scared (various)
8. Dressing up as passimian
9. Threw a rock at spearow
10. Being sexist to misty occassionally
Torterra got done dirty in terms of his win/lose ratio, since pretty much his only wins were as a Turtwig. Maybe because they needed to provide Chimchar the most development, but it still hurts. It’s a similar problem I have with Noivern (even if it is the youngest Kalos member) because, as much as I love Greninja, his arc really put a dent in Noivern’s prowess with technically one one win in my eyes against Sawyers Doublade (I don’t count Zapdos since, was it really a defeat, especially when Team Rocket intervened?)
My first Alola form Pokémon is Sandshrew
Charizard is without a doubt Ash's second best Pokémon friend. After Pikachu (and maybe Greninja, dependinging on one's opinion), Ash's relationship with Charizard is the one that went through a lot of development. Sure, Charmander was adorable and immensily loyal. But his abandonment issues came to surface when he evolved into Charmeleon and started to act like his previous trainer. It took a lot (serious, A LOT) of time and a great act of selflessness for Ash to earn Charizard's trust. And even after Ash earned Charizard's trust, their relationship only kept on being tested and growing. The simple fact Charizard even returned during the Unova series says everything. Not just that, but one has to consider that Fried's two best friends are also a Charizard and a Pikachu...
After I arrived at Hawaii aka Alola I begin my journey with my favorite Rowlet
I cant see how Torterra is above Rowlet but ok.

Not a bad list but my top 20 would have butterfree and Pidgeot on there somewhere. I think Bulbasaur would be a little higher as well.

Besides Pikachu, Chizard and Sceptile, I think all of my favorite pokemons Ash owned came from the Gen 4 series. To me, I still Diamond and Pearl was the best of the gens. I love Ash's black outfit, his dynamic with Dawn was the greatest (imo Dawn was the best of all the female companions), the growth he had with Chimchar to Infernape was good, his rivalry with Paul was unique and everything was just good. The only downside I had with the gen 4 series was how Ash was screwed out of being Sinnoh champ by a pokemon legendary spammer cuz the writers really said some "not your time yet, young warrior". Like c'mon...
In the 1st Kahuna Battle Hala was first so I let Rowlet go first because fighting weak to flying next Rowlet evolved into Dartrix and when it evolved into Decidueye I’ll use a Deciduium Z for after it evolved

Yeah my favorite are Ash Greninja Lycanroc Krookodile Charizard Lucario Pikachu
