I was searching for the song and found this 2 months after its creation as we have recently lost somebody in our life that was dear to us. Wayne and the lips.. love to you as always. RIP to our departed Tommy. Also hang on as long as you can with loving your heart. 🥂 Cheers.
I remember the first time I heard this version and watched this video was days after Robin Williams had passed in 2014. It seemed so fitting at that specific moment that I captured it forever. And now it is a go-to song for me to handle grief, which is more common as I get older. So grateful for this collaboration and for having it shared here.

Heard this song a lot of times during a particularly tough phase and always gave me peace. Now that phase is gone and I'm well and healthy and the beauty of this song just feels more deeper, in the bones. If you know what i mean

I only 'discovered' them a couple of weeks ago. It's great when you discover a 'new' band for the first time, Wayne was doing an interview on UK radio and he drew me in. I've spent the last 2 weeks going through all their back catalog! I tried to get tickets to their London or Manchester gigs but they were over here in the Uk the very week I first heard them. By the time I'd decided they were something special, I'd just missed the 2 dates by a couple of days !!
This version has me hooked, it's hypnotic.

The minute you hold your cell phone up to film, you are no longer at the concert. You're not even there- you're in the future posting to social media where the event has some sort of digital currency that makes you feel good. Imagine being in the now, and the bonding experience you could have had if only you just put your damn phones away.
Yet, here we are on youtube watching a filmed performance...
@@aspaceproductions Yes, one person filming it for the rest of us to watch at a later time. I'm old, in my day we went to concerts to be there, in the moment- connecting with the crowd and band, merging into one sonic mind. It was a religious experience.
I tip my hat to the person who filmed this on a cell phone and captured the sound on a cell phone mic.
