Good to see paul again and he finally has his bonnet painted! Also yes he must come back. The chemistry between you guys is so good to watch. Two old mates who go way back with a good load of banter
Been watching Wheeler Dealers since the beginning and always noticed Paul come in to lend a hand, but he was always a silent help. But this episode with Paul as a feature has been great, like an old friend we haven't seen for years finally getting to chat to and what an interesting guy he is!. We love Paul!! Keep him as part of the team please Edd! But just an observation.. the little exchange about dissing the current Wheeler Dealers wasn't needed guys... best to move on I would suggest.
Absolutely yes, a talking paul would be huge for the show. He's extremely knowledgeable and experienced, plus you guys seem like good friends. All in favor of Paul!!
I have to agree and the deal with two mates working with cars is a great idea, they clearly get along and it works really well. This is the car show we wanted when we watched wheeler dealers.
Bring back Paul what a legend. You make a great team and thoroughly enjoyed you both reminiscing and the old photo's. You guys have a chemistry and compliment each other. Loved the music towards the end of the build, what a great episode. A perfect balance of banter and mechanical learning. Thanks for sharing guys. 🇸🇪🇬🇧😊👍🏻
I hope you see this because I'm sure I speak for many when I say we are all so pleased you have what looks to be a successful UA-cam channel at last. You are stored in the memory of so many classic car lovers/nuts all across the world and we all want you to do well. Who knows you may well soon pass and overtake Wheeler Dealers... In fact I wouldn't be surprised at all.
I think it has already overtaken Wheeler Dealers. The present mechanics are SO underutilised, it's ridiculous - no educational merit, just window dressing. Edd: "What do you think of Wheeler Dealers now ?" Paul "Two Words - Oh, dear" :-) Says it all ...
What a blast to see Paul back on your channel, please do more stuff with him, finger’s crossed the ‘ask Paul’ section is like two old mates chatting about past times and your not worried about the camera !!!! Excellent excellent show, program, UA-cam video master class. Thank you Ed
Out of all the WD shows that I watched, and it was a bunch, I don’t think I heard Paul say twenty words. It was so much fun listening to him talk with Edd about the old shows and jobs that they did together. I could have listened to that for the whole video today. I vote they keep Paul as a regular on the series!
I always suspected he wasn’t allowed to speak on camera because speaking performers have to be paid more. They probably had him classified as non-performing crew. Show business industries in the US are very strict about it. Once you cross the line to speaking performer you have to join the union and your rate goes up every time you appear again even if you don’t speak again.
Bruh, just you two talking together should have been the entire episode. It's just that good, right now 👍🏾 As far as future episodes with Paul... Yes, please!
Paul! You two are clearly friends, I've not seen you have such a natural conversation on tape with anyone else, so yes, Paul must come back - and it would be good to hear him discussing some of the work that he does i.e. the other 16 jobs.
#MilwaukeeChristmas Repeating myself for the Christmas giveaway. Getting Edd back was fantastic. Having Paul show up and be essential to the show on camera has been the best gift. Thank you guys- all of you on the show.
It's SO great to see Paul back. The chemistry is awesome. So good to see 2 old mates having a good time. He definitely needs to be back on all of the time. I've been watching him and Will on Flipping Bangers - great show. Like Wheeler Dealers without the Dealer. He's fantastic on it.
The best episode of “Workshop Diaries” so far. Fascinating to learn how “Wheeler Dealers” was really produced. Definitely bring Paul into future episodes - He’s a true unsung hero!
It's been wonderful to see Edd and Paul talk fondly of their time on WD (barring the one crack of 'Oh, Dear'). There have been quite a few comments made by Edd about his old show, and never (except the 'Oh Dear') have I heard anything negative said. He just speaks of his good times and great cars. So I almost regret saying how I dislike the 'other' host of the show, in a recent interview, chose to speak harshly of Edd rather than remember all the good times that made it to the TV screen. He chose the low path, while Edd has kept his comments classy. Good on you Mr. China. Things like that make me adore you even more. And I love Paul being back.
Paul is a top guy 👍,the behind the scenes man that turned the cogs on wheeler dealers ,great to see him back, you two have a great friendship,Def deserves a proud addition to the workshop 👍❤️,great video Mr China
If it is possible he should definitely come back. A great team, the two most important people from the old show, the two who actually did the hard work. Happy to hear Paul had been busy since.
What a shame you had to convert the Sprinter back. A lost opportunity there for the owner of the van I reckon. But what a great thing to have Paul back!
Same thought here, what a narrow-minded company this is! They had something which represents the future - already done, but no, just go back to the previous century please...
One the one hand, yes. On the other hand, it was already generous to borrow the van in the first place. They would have had to compensate Ed at least for the parts at least, and doing somebody a favour and then pay a few thousand pounds on top of it does not seem right, either, especially since having a single custom build EV in a fleet of diesel vans is probably not very cost effective.
@@unavailable753 I think the car was mostly built on sponsor money, not EDD's own. The show I suppose already paid it back as well. Now, this car, being a Guinness Record Holder, plus an EV, could have been their selling point as well. I suppose, sooner or later their diesel fleet won't be allowed into city centers... so they will be forced to move this way...

I have the same MAN 10.223 for 25 years. 20 years first set of tyres and rear brake drums. Original:- clutch, thrust, master and slave. Paint. Crane. Spare wheel and tyre in cradle. Engine and running gear I don't go easy on it. It has 24 ton gross train and has been there several times too but its a bit tail wagging the dog. 5 sets of batteries. 3 diesel tanks. Two body beds. Yes to Paul because he is the real deal. Always felt he should have been given a voice as itcwas obvious he was behind the scenes anyway. Too much coincidence that he mysteriously turned up to quietly lend a hand at critical moments year in and year out. Respect.
I want to give a shout out to the camera and editing crew. That has gotten a lot better thru the episodes and are now brilliant! In the beginning there was a little too much artsy shots and wierd lighting but now it's exactly on point! Well done! 👌
Paul, what a humble, interesting man. His knowledge and background stories about WD was great to hear. You have a hit channel on your hands Edd. Having Paul as a regular would make it even better. Usually "Ask Edd" is the section I will fast forward through, I like to see the work on the cars instead but with Paul on talking I watched every second. Bring him back!
Nice to see Paul again. Never realised how much Paul did so that was interesting. Love the workshop diaries Ed, I always look forward to the ping of a new episode popping up. Life is good as a result and I whole heartedly thank you 😊.
And I thought Paul was just the guy to help you bleed the brakes and hold stuff while you take all the credit. Turns out Paul has been the man running the show. It's like the curtain being pulled back on the wizard of oz or when you realise who Santa really is. Wow, that was a blast from the past to see Paul again - that was a really nice surprise! - and what a shame to convert the van back to diesel after all that hard work.

Fascinating to hear you and Paul talking about the work you have done together. And quite touching. What an interesting and eloquent fellow he is. I do hope your channel develops in a manner which provides a route for him to join you. It's a joy watching you work together. His assessment of Wheeler Dealers since your departure is spot on 👍
Great to see PAUL back!. The MRS (who hates cars) and I have really enjoyed the Workshop Diaries. We have wondered what ever happened to PAUL and have googled to find out, with no real result. Edd asked viewers if Paul should join or not? The answer is a resounding YES. However, he needs to talk more and explain what he is doing when working on the vehicles. We really enjoyed the ASK PAUL section of Edd's latest episode. Yes Edd, if you read these comments, PAUL is the missing link. David & Shirley Cozier, Portadown, CO Armagh. N.I. U.K,

Hi Edd, loving the show. Great to see Paul back and talk about the shows etc - he's definitely one of the unsung heroes of Wheeler Dealers. Would be great to see him back doing more of what you do. You have and continue to really inspire me in my resto work on my T4 - keep up the great work!👍 😎
I knew Paul had a lot more input with the show, (maybe he was camera shy back then) seems like a top bloke! Trust me it helps having a character in the garage with you. I hope we see more of him in the future. Cheers Ed.
I don't think he was camera shy, but it wasn't his job to be on camera, it was Edd and Mike's task. There's so many people involved to make a show like that, so obviously there where a lot going on behind the scenes we didn't get to see, and it was not only Paul that worked on the cars off screen, there where that other bloke I forgot the name of, he also did a lot of work we never got to see in the final product.
What a joy to see Paul again! I'm probably going to echo the sentiments of many other viewers but I don't care, we want to see him again, Edd and Paul..........happy days!!!!
Definitely bring Paul back! Would be nice to see a “Wheeler Dealers” episode where we see all the mechanical tasks between you but none of the rubbish acting. Really enjoy this content, Edd.
ha ha ha! Ed, you don't need to ask us about Paul being on the show - he's part of the DNA and has been missing since the first episode (as I and others have intimated). what many of us out here in tv land didn't know was just how far back you two go and also how much of Wheeler Dealers content was Paul. may this show get ever greater and greater
Definitely bring Paul to the team. I suspect he wasn’t allowed to talk on WD because of equity? What a great guy with loads of knowledge and experience. Do it
So good to see you and Paul together! My wife and I have often wondered how he was doing. Also, love the new show - your tips over the years have really helped and its great to continue to learn from you. Cheers and all the best!
As being a massive fan it's so good to hear the WD stories. Thrilled to see Paul and definitely looking forward to seeing more of him. And "Oh dear" was a pretty truthful comment too... :D
Have you even watched the new WD or are you just being a typical sheep on this channel? The current WD with Elvis is great, and so is Workshop Diaries. Now we have two shows too watch not just one. Paul's comment is wrong and based on self bias from obvious issues he and Edd have privately with Mike, which are none of your concern.
@@Rob_77 I have, don't really care for it. My main issue is the editing of the newer version. It's a huge stepdown of what it used to be, before the second and final time they went for America. Some other UA-camrs have outstanding channels too so not really interested in the current WD. And I'm not against Mike too. I think people have been a bit too unfair to him after these two split up. New WD is not for me, that is all.
It was fantastic seeing Paul again; it got even better as for the first time we got to see him actually interact on a show. If you add to that seeing how well you two work together, it was obvious that he really was an old friend and not just an extra from the last show. Would be delighted to see much more of him. Thank you for this episode, I truly enjoyed it.
Great to see Paul, I'd love to see him in every episode, he's got far better chemistry with Edd than his previous colleague. Great episode, great banter, great entertainment. Real petrolheads with a passion. Love it!
Great job ! 🙂👍 David from France
I thoroughly enjoyed this one, not that I haven't enjoyed the others. It was great to see and listen to you and Paul, reminisce, and yes, it would be good if Paul, the Sam Kydd of garage shows, be a regular visitor. Great show Ed.
Nice to see Paul back! I remember him from old Wheeler Dealer series (especially helping in those parts where two persons were needed for jobs). It was nice to hear behind the scenes and how Paul has been supporting in the background.
Paul definitely deserves to come "home" to work with you again Edd, well earned after all his years on Wheeler Dealers. Great to see him again 👍
Ed get Paul back working together that would be great 👍🇦🇺🔥👍
Totally Epic I was so surprised to see him and without a doubt he would be a fantastic addition!!! Edward make it happen!!!
The two of you just chatting about the past was way more entertaining than any of the episodes of 'Wheeler Dealers' since you departed.

@@jrand2631 The "other" bloke was called Phil 😃
It's nice to see Paul again! Brilliant.
Great interview. Good job. It’s obvious working on autos is your thing. Look forward to Friday’s 👍🏻. Welcome back Paul! Head & shoulders above WD’s.
The return of Paul to our screens - another foundation from the old days great to see him.
Love the history and recalling the tales from years past.
Good to see Paul back!!
Definitely bring Paul to the team. I suspect he wasn’t allowed to talk on WD because of equity? What a great guy with loads of knowledge and experience. Do it
Great show good to see Paul. It would be great to see Paul help Ed with the Range rover.
What an excellent episode, great to find out who Paul is, and hear some back stage info from all the shows.
You definitely need Paul on the show.
Great watching the chat with paul, never realised the full role he played in the show.
Great to see Paul. Love to see him involved more in the show. Keep up the good work Edd. Loving the show.
It’s great to hear Paul talking! Please have him back on the show as much as possible!
Love it!
Great to see Paul again, well done Ed and the production crew, you've put together a great show and it's a real pleasure to watch😁
Great episode. I really enjoyed hearing Paul and yourself reminiscing about Wheeler Dealers. Thanks :-)
Bonjour Edd,
Great job ! 🙂👍
David from France
Awesome to see Paul back at your side. He may not have said much but he was a big part of your Wheeler Dealer charisma i think. Awesome content Edd!!
Definitely get Paul back, great to hear him and Edd chatting as old mates.
Edd, it’s cool to see you and Paul work together again and imho it would be even cooler to see him more often (always?😀) . Cheers from Germany ✌️
A big YES to bringing Paul onto to the ’Workshop Diaries’ show! 👍😃😎
Brang a smile to my face to see the yellow van awesome too see you again Paul 😀.
Good to see Paul. Great work.
Paul should come back! This is the most I've heard him talk!
Could listen to you two chat for hours. Totally enjoyed the interview and we all know Paul will be back on the team. Brilliant. Can’t wait
YES! Paul needs to return! Both of you on a ground up restoration of the ranger rover! Would be excellent!
Great to see and hear the banter between you and Paul 👍
I thoroughly enjoyed this one, not that I haven't enjoyed the others. It was great to see and listen to you and Paul, reminisce, and yes, it would be good if Paul, the Sam Kydd of garage shows, be a regular visitor. Great show Ed.
Nice to see Paul back! I remember him from old Wheeler Dealer series (especially helping in those parts where two persons were needed for jobs). It was nice to hear behind the scenes and how Paul has been supporting in the background.
