Awesome video for newbs, very good job explaining tuning. Make sure to mention your fill pressure is also important,as well as hammer throw adjustment.
What pellets are you shooting accurately through your Benjamin kratos? I just set up my rifle and I'm sighting it in. I have not found this rifle to be very consistent at all. Scattered groups left right up down it doesn't matter I'm using FX hybrid slugs which fly absolutely awful. I currently have it sighted in with h&r barracuda Hunter extremes and with these pellet s it may put one touching the same hole and then have a two and a half inch scattered pattern after left right up down doesn't really matter nothing's really too consistent all within a two and a half inch circle and some flyers what pellet should I run to this gun because this is very frustrating. Beginning to think I need to return it and buy a higher quality gun to get accuracy. Please give me any advice you have.
I'm using jsb 18gn and the hades pellets in .22. The benjamin kratos is a great platform. I would recommend you checking everything on your rifle. I think where might be something loose. If the air rifle is shooting all over the place. There is something that is moving. Make sure everything is tight.
@@airgunsofidaho4886 everything is tight it is a 25 caliber from 25-35 yards it will produce a decent group, but once out to 45-55 yards there is really no consistency at all. Do you have any experience shooting the FX slugs through this gun. From 25 yards you can hit the bullseye but you have lots of flyers and there's no really consistent group.
Hello, yes I had this same problem, and was disappointed at first! But don't worry. I zeroed in the gun with Barracuda hunter extreme at 15 yards then 30 yards with slight adjustments. At this distance 30-40 yards the gun shot pretty well. Stepping back to 50-65 yards where most of my shots will take place. I was not happy with the groups . Then suddenly after 6-10 refills and about 450 or more pellets through the gun, it's suddenly settled in and I was shooting in my opinion awesome groups at 65 yards. I have been shooting Barracuda Hunter Extremes .25 caliberpellet 28.24 gr great hunting pellet but I have found that the Exact King .25 cal Diabolo 25.39gr shoot the Best for sure. The FX hybrid slugs are ok up to 30-40 yards but as for holding groups or confidently knowing you have the cross hairs on a coons head at 50-65 yards and clearly missing because of the random flyers or unstable flight which causes it to loop. Not saying that you can't shoot those eyes at 65 yards with them because I have but they're not consistent enough to be confident in your shot. With the Hunter Barracuda extremes and the exact King diablos you can confidently put pellet placement between a coons eyes at 60 yards every time. That's the accuracy I was looking for in the gun . No clue why it took that long to breakin but without touching the scope I suddenly started shooting Bull's eyes with the UGT scope on the first Dot below the cross hair at 62 yards when zero in at 30 yards . I hope this helps!! Don't worry it will settle in.
I couldn't tell you exactly. But might 1000 fps with jsb 18gn. 22. You should be able to send the 21gn pellets close to 950 fps. I have this helps you. If you have other questions feel free to ask.
@@upper-leftadventures721 yea. The down side of increasing velocity. On a airgun is that it's going to be wasting more air and will give you less shots per fill. Its a little complicated to explain. But Matt duber has a few different videos. Where he explains everything you need to know about pcp airguns. I'll look for links of his videos.

Spent the morning using your tuning tips for my favorite loads. I'm loving this gun Thanks!
Excellent video
Thanks
Thank you for the information it was very helpful

Thanks man...really appreciate you taking the time to describe this topic....well done. Cheers!
Thanks man. Im not the best at explaining things. But I try
@@airgunsofidaho4886 You did a great job buddy

Hola soy de Chile y tengo un Benjamin kratos. 25 y acá no tengo referencias de mi rifle te agradezco el tutorial 😊
This rifle looks very simple to fix than the marauder when there's a leak
Transfer port adjustment reduces velocity but doesn't improve shot count. Hammer spring adjustment is better in that respect.
Yea that's true 👍
And what tool did u use to un tighten the silver screw at the back of the gun ,I’ve tried with a flat head but kept slipping so idk how
Good job man
I have an Akela, the action looks the same on all three guns,
what do you think?
It is the same
How do you remove the top rail
Hi, I have a Benjamin kratos in 25 cal I've seen your videos. That you have made taking it apart do you think I can make a 22?
@ricardoruiz3409 if you can find a barrel and a pin probe. You should be able to the problem is finding them

About how much more velocity do you gain turning the hammer spring tension all the way up?

@@airgunsofidaho4886 thank you! So maybe a couple extra hundred fps? Also is there any down side to turning up the hammer spring tension? Thanks

@@airgunsofidaho4886 thanks, I understand that. I was wondering if it causes faster wear on any parts. Thanks again 😁
I’m getting a no velocity pellet every now and then .
I wonder why they don't make akela in 25 cal..
Lol not as if it's obvious. 🤣🤣🤣
