This is one of my favorites of all your videos, you always say you are a fan of swim jigs and i am just starting to use them because i heard you say that. I would love if you would make a video on how you fish a swim jig that is more on an in-depth video like this one on swim jigs. Keep up the good work!
Nicholas Kolodziejski maybe I can help! Just caught my new PB (6.14)on a strike king sexy shad color swim jig. For swim jigs I usually like a smaller trailer in a swim bait style(flukes or something like a fluke), usually with a paddle tail if I'm on top of grass or open water, or a straight tail/split tail if I'm going into heavy cover. I like the smaller trailer because I'm usually trying to imitate bait fish, and swim jigs are bulky enough without to big a trailer. my retrieval depends on what the bass are doing at the time (always take a min to study the water) if there actively chasing bait fish I like to cast strait into the boils and retrieve at a med to semi fast pace keeping the jig close to the surface, if nothing happens after about 10 casts, I'll switch it up a little and as a twitch every couple of seconds to make the jig stand out. If I'm fishing heavy cover I'll use a heavier jig to get down into the cover better with a craw/creature style trailer, let it sink as far as it will go, and use a football style jig retrieve, using a sideways sweeping twitch retrieve, letting the jig sit for 2-3 seconds inbetween sweeps. I'm no expert, but these 2 retrieves have caught me a ton of quality bass! hope this helps, tight lines!

hey Brendan one way you should try bass fishing is with worms... live worms lol me and my brothers use little weights and cast out just leaving it with a tiny bell and once you find the right depth of where they r u r gonna have plenty of fun. I recommend that u make a video and good job so far keep up the good work
I wish we had more yum baits here. You have to go to bass pro shops or Cabela's to find a good yum bait. The only ones u can find at Academy r dingers, Christie critters, Christie craws, and swurms
I'm going to make it a point to learn to fish a tube. I have a few different styles. I'm just now getting better at fishing senko styled worms and other soft plastics.

Barometric pressure has lot to do with the fish biting. Check the barometric on days that you catch lots of fish. My best days are when the pressure is between 29.85 - 30.10

The reason you do better before or after rain is because before or after a flood/storm, fish sense that they might not be able to find food after the recent/upcoming downpour, so they eat anything they can find because they know their food supply is limited. :)

And i know this video is almost 3 years old and you probably know by now but the whole storm thing is based off of the barometric pressure in the atmosphere. Right before a storm front the pressure falls significantly and that for some reason drives fish crazy. Right before a storm is the BEST time to be on the water.

What is a weightless tube? where is the hook? good video but an explanation would have been nice, we don't have these in the UK that I know of, and are you sure that's a mustache it looked like muck :)

the reason fish bite before o after storms is because the clouds covering the sun cool down the water that cooler water makes the fish move around
