This honestly is one of the best cutscenes in the game for animation value because iirc they worked on it while things were stalled for COVID reasons and they had extra time to just pour a ton of love and fun into animating this. 😂
After so many sad endings for characters in this game, I am so happy he got to have a happy one. After everything, he just wants to go on an adventure by your side. I swear we don't deserve him.
After enduring half of 2020 I think we all deserve this.

As someone who hasn't changed main classes since ARR, I can definitely relate.
Can we appreciate the fact that in some parts the VA sounds like his character is acting like, overjoyed inside to finally stand by the WOL and his voice sort of breaks in that aspect and I find it cute 🥺
yes! you can hear in his voice how excited he is, but he's trying to stay cool.
@@Ravy_Nevermorei’m 3 years late to the “party” (this video not the cutscene itself), but I love how G’raha goes from confident Crystal Exarch to shy kitten surrounded by his favorite heroes in like 2 sentences. You can really feel the CONFIDENCE he has into his abilities… but then is still intimidated when sitting at the “cool kids table”.
Ok but G’raha’s VA really brought it for this scene!! So did the animators, for that matter. Such a fantastic scene!
The way he first confidently speak of the Ward of the tower... Only to then stutter his way once he's out of his field of expertise. Pretty damn relatable personatly.
A very nice moment is that Y'shtola mentions she'll join after she finishes her tea, but drinks it fully immediately so she can join them quickly.
I never noticed that! I always read her little smirk as saying she was buying us time to run ahead on our own because she knew how much G’raha wanted to fight alongside the WoL, but also I may be viewing that through ship glasses. 😅

A detail I always find amusing is Alisae patting her chest when she talks about not "[putting] much stock in appearances". Both twins seem a little self-conscious about not hitting their growth spurts yet.
I hope we get to see them stringbean at some point!

I was genuinely surprised the twins didnt decide to have their new outfits. But Alisaie with her original weapon Urianger gave her does make me happy :)

@@margotrosendorn6371 Male miqo'te have pretty expressive ears. Try /joy, /doze, /shocked, /panic. If you have /eureka, their ears perk up like G'raha's did in this scene as well as their tail. ^_^

This is lowkey my favourite cutscene in the game.
Honestly, after seeing this scene, it brought a tear to my eye. All I could say at the end of it was: "Welcome to the team, buddy ol' pal."

While a lot of the story has made me teary-eyed, I legitimately wept at G'raha's grand reveal in shb and bawled my eyes out to this cutscene. Just knowing how much he missed you and how often he thought of you for so long and FINALLY being able to live out that dream just makes my heart hurt in the best way.
Shadowbringers is what made G'raha Tia my absolute favorite character (with Ardbert in a very, very close second). Never would have thought that after the Crystal Tower quest line.
I was legit shrieking and I very much regret that I don't have reaction footage or I would currently be a thumbnail titled "Unhinged G'raha Fangirl Absolutely Loses Their Shit - 5.3 Spoilers"
Meanwhile in the shadows and not disclosed to her friends. Tutarue got the blue prints and made all dat monies. Because when your building an empire, EXSTORTION! Freaking love her.

Sameee i just saw this scene like 3 mins ago!!!!!! And now to finish up ff14 patch 5.5 then taking a break.....been a long journey of playing for 2months non stop just to catch up this moment. Ff14 is one of my favorites now =3

Just experienced this amazing cutscene but I had to relive it again, I love this
I love Alisae's expressiveness, and how this really feels like a cutscene and not just character models doing emotes in sequence, also ofcourse THE BESTEST CAT BOY HIMSELF
I love how the designers talk to the player through Alisaie and Alphinaud in the "personal development" exchange.
I feel they did this again later when Alphinaud comments on his lack of growth spurt…and I feel they could be setting us up to see one someday!

Yup its new from the end of the newest patch! They up the animation quality beginning at the end of HW, but it really takes off in Shadowbringers content!
Except for Tataru and Kryle, everything else is MoCap.
Honestly you can really tell the cg improved in endwalker the characters are much more expressive and just in general look really good
Gosh, I loved this scene so much, brings a smile to my face every time. Alisaie is an absolute mood, and when G'raha said "scions of the sevenths dawn" it's like he himself could barely believe it and contain his excitement. Love it so much
God, there's a reason he's best boi and this video clearly shows it.
Although, could you exclude either his name or the fact it's the 5.3 ending from the title? I finished the 5.3 patch on time but normally this would've been a big bummer of a spoiler.

Alisaie is truly the Soul of the Red Mage, diving in fearlessly to take on whatever challenge awaits. The look of rapture on her face is simply the best -- even more so thanks to "Dawn of a New Era" kicking off as she leaps off the terrace, heedless of it being at least 20 fulms above the next level ground.
Gawd, I freaking LOVE G’raha! He is my precious cat boy. Every time I see him do the ear wiggles I just wanna give him soft pets. Not gonna lie, I so ship him with my cat girl! 🥺🥺🥺

I love how Alisae gets turned on for some rampage and then Alphinaud just goes after her saying "Ah $ht, here we go again."
Ever since meeting him in the Crystal Tower quest till the end of ShB, I'm so happy that that he wasn't left to his fate on the First. Even if he doesn't think he's a hero, he's sure done his best to live up to those ideals!

G'raha will always make me squeel like a school girl, he's so adorable!
Endwalker is amazing, but I still think Shadowbringers is my favorite expansion. It's its own self-contained story by way of happening in a different universe, so everything feels completely wrapped up by the end. This whole cutscene just reminded me of that.

I like how they contrived some in-universe reason for Thancred, Y’shtola and Urianger to keep their redesigns from Shadowbringers. A lot of stories would just gloss over details like that.
I hope at some point they'll give trust members the functionality to change jobs! Most of them have specialized in at least two by now.

I remember that before they all channeled themselves into the crystals, I was thinking "shouldn't I hold anything you'd want to bring back to the Source?" then I remembered that they spawned in without clothes, so it would make sense they disappear without them too.
then apparently they've just got some extra clothes and weapons infused into their very souls.
This kind of moment is part of why I love this game ^^
No spoilers just saying endwalker was incredible and our favorite catboy did unbelievable awesome

Love Raha so much omg
after everything is said and done, this really does become the best outcome for G'raha. While the future Exarch kinda does "steal" his younger self's body, the Exarch does have all the memories of that very self, up to our raid in the Crystal Tower and everything that happens after he seals himself away. The bittersweet moment comes from realizing that we don't get to see how past G'raha would have turned out had he not been subject to everything the Exarch went through and more or less just left the tower with us.
