@@UplanderLifestylethis looks like a blast , could you please share where this is ? Is this public private? Guided hunt? Name of those orange packs you are using? Do you have an instagram account or something so I can send you my email address? I have tons of questions for you.
You guys wiped out the entire ichigan population of sharpies in the first 2 min of the season!!!!!! LOL Its Ohio st and ichigan week!!! LOL GO BUCS!!!!
Great video Cliff. We hunted Sharptails opening day with no luck but you prove hit the right land it can be done congrats. As always excellent dog work looking forward to your next video.
Sharpies in MI glad to see it, was going to stop and hunt that area on my way out of the UP but plans changed. Can't tell you how good it is to see some Pheasants back there again. Worked on the PF Board for 6 years, glad to see some of those $$ being put to work.
Great video! I am considering getting a Brittany for hunting grouse and woodcock in MI. Obviously you are a Brittany fan and your dogs are super well trained. I was wondering if you could give me some info on breeders and training the dog. Any help would be appreciated.
Nice hunt! Love your Britts. I think I'm going to hunt Michigan for the first time this coming season. How old is Aspen in the video? I also get over excited when my new pup gets a first.
Awesome dogs man ! I hunt ruffed grouse and mtn quail here in northwest coast of Oregon with my corgi I know it sounds weird but he has incredible prey drive and works close as a flushing and retrieving dog. My profile pic is of him with a mtn quail.
What chokes are you running in the field? I suppose asking what gun would also go with that question naturally. I ask because my two 12ga. are polar opposites with my Browning New Model A5 being overbored to heck(like many newer guns) and the Invector DS factory tubes are laughably bad regarding constriction labeling to actuality; apparently when they released the DS series they switched manufacturers and quality suffered big time. Whereas my Beretta 486 Parallelo is AFAIK the only Beretta in production using a tighter/thinner walled Mobil that they dub the Mobilchoke HP (18.40 ∅ vs. 18.60) which is derived from the turn of the century Beretta Field models, and the open Cylinder choke shoots much tighter than the Imp. Cyl. that came with the A5. I mean to give you an example I hit a ~40yd. Long Crossing shot at Bald Mountain's Harder Sporting Clay course with some 1¼oz. #9 thru the Beretta's Cyl. and was actually in disbelief. I've only been shooting about 2 years now, so trying to bust into hunting. I'm cross dominant and the Beretta being a SxS really helped me with Line of Sight. Easier than learning how to shoot Lefty at least for now honestly. Just don't wanna accidentally disintegrate a woodcock or trash the meat on a pheasant. So any feedback would be appreciated, thanks in advance!
Thanks man! It is all public ground. I like the idea of the shotkam, and I have considered it. Only thing is it's just another thing to haul into the field, another battery to charge etc. But maybe I'll give it a shot one day. Thanks for watching and following along!
@@UplanderLifestyle Its truly amazing that its possible to practice your hobby on public land and have a big variety of places to go, where i am from you barely have 1 spot if you dont own a piece of land. Nice to see you consider the shotkam footage but either way i love your videos man just keep at it :)
@@UplanderLifestyle After hearing your explanation and repeatedly watching that section of the video, it is apparent that the second shot was a slo-mo portrayal of the shoot. Just curious, was that on public land and if so, what area of the state was it? What area of the state is the most productive for the dwindling population of pheasants.? I haven't pheasant hunted in years and would love to get back out for one last season at my age but have no private landowners to connect with and no idea which areas of public land are the most productive. Thanks, really nice video
GOOD JOB YETI on that last bird!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Aspen on her 1st phez!!! OUTSTANDING!!!! GOOD GIRL ASPEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That rooster you shot in slow motion sounded like a Tusken Raider from Star Wars 😂 good shootin!
So awesome! Thanks for producing these! There's so much I learn from watching them.
Glad to hear! Thanks for following along Matt 👍🏻

Stay on your slow freeways bud. Go Blue!!
Ha! It was a fun hunt. The game always comes up faster than I realize, we’ll see what happens! Winner take all to the CFP is always an exciting game.

Thanks Gary! Happy thanksgiving to you and your family.
When i lived in Michigan years ago… I never remember there being sharp tail… amazing

It’s been a pretty good year for pheasants! The hard work done in areas isn’t always recognized, but it’s there and the birds are too.
Very nice job Gents! Dogs as well!
Thank you!

Great to see all four upland birds in the bag!! Is this all public land? Lots of public land in FL but only quail!! Good looking pups....
Thank you, Rich! Yes, all publicly accessible land. Good luck the rest of season!

Thanks man! Aspen was a few days shy of turning 2 in this video. Good luck this season!
What would you recommend when hunting Mi UP sharptails? Pines, taller grass? Thanks in advance

Right on man, that’s awesome! Good luck the rest of the season and thanks for following along 👍🏻
How far north in the mitten is this?

Hey guys new to hunting with my dog, she’s a husky/shepherd mix.. she does everything perfect but she try’s to run away how can I stop that?
love your videos man, i would like to see some shotkam footage but still great job. i do have a question though, do you hunt private land or public?

I'm curious, at the 21:35 mark you appear to have downed two birds but only retrieved one. Am I wrong?
There was just one bird there. Maybe you are thinking the slow motion replay was a second bird?

Très beau oiseaux et très belle chasse .
Thank you!
what a dream 🤗🤗🤗
What are you shooting for pheasants 3” #5 or #6?
Shooting Remington Extended Long Range 2 3/4 6’s!
Do you never get nervous that you'll accidently hit one of the dogs?
No. Because I wouldnt take the shot if I felt there was a chance of hitting or even being close to hitting the dog.
