Love, love LOVE this! I think instead of using a panel, I will add some hand embroidered blocks and then surround them with the crumbs. SO fun!!
That is exactly right!!
OH YES!!! ME TOO. GREAT IDEA🥰 I LOVE TO EMBROIDER
Good idea!
I really love seeing the patches of fussy cuts or embroidery! That can make me excited to do and use some of my smaller scraps 💞
Thx for all the inspiration in this video! Loved it 💜
Damb Girl! You scare me... not using a cutting glove. You are so awesome Cindy. You are the BTE = BEST TEACHER EVER❣❣😃
I can even see using a large scale busy print fussy cut into various sizes of squares (instead of a panel.) This looks like a really fun and exciting new project. (As if I need another!) Thanks for the very clear presentation.
That’s right!! Thank you!
Totally inspired! Your bird panels gave me the idea to use up some outdated panels by doing crumb-pieced appliqués to cover the colors I don’t think are very pretty. Hopefully, they turn out pretty, like the wings on your bird panels. Thanks!
Your version of a crumb quilt finally brings some sense into saving scraps. Those small panels give your eyes something to land on and to look for. It’s even attractive. You’ve given us something to work towards. Thank you from Minnesota.
I made one of these last year and rewatched it this year to remind me how I did it. Turned out wonderfully. Thank you!
I have my late mom's embridered dinner napkins with little boates. I will use those for this project
I have some orphan blocks that I think this would work great for. Great charity quilt tops.
Panels have always intimated me but with this pattern it looks doable. Thanks!
I really like scrappy quilting and using up all the pieces. This version of crumb quilting is very scrappy but has organization and that makes sense to my brain. This one is on the top of my must make list.
Love this too just learning crumb quilting took me awhile 😅
I really like this for these types of panels but also for my assorted mismatched blocks.
Beautiful way to use those panels! Thank you for an excellent explanation of how to put the quilt together. I will be making one this coming winter!
Panels very pretty. They would make tiny crumbs build faster into quilt.
Yes!
I’m so glad I stumbled onto your UA-cam channel. I’ve subscribed and hit the little bell so I don’t miss anything. Y’all are so much fun to watch and I miss my WA, I’m in Texas now.
What a super quilt! Love the scrappy fabrics and the wonderful use of a panel. I must make one. I have a couple of fabric lines I think would be great to feature. Thank you very much for your tutorial.
Love karma. Just spent several days tidying my stash and pulling “small “ pieces. This is a perfect solution for the muslin squares that we do at charity events. I see a happy productive weekend ahead. Love you ladies and your giving spirit. I’m praying for your loss as I see. All happens for a reason.😘
I have lots of panels and this version is certainly more picturesque, classy, and actually easier for my senior eyes. Thanks a lot. Cindy.
Great idea, it would be a great way to use up orphan blocks. You always have great ideas. Thanks
Oh, what a great way to use those wonky blocks. Thank you.
Amazing tutorial and fabulous video thanks for sharing your beautiful ideas
Really interesting. Thank you
This is pretty cool. Thank you.
Excellent pattern. I can see more panels in my future. Thank you!
GREAT VIDEO!! thank you !!!
I have never tried a panel but now I am.
I have a stash of panels, I can't wait to try this.
I came over here as recommended by The Sewing Channel. Great way to make a scrappy looking quilt. Thank you.
Strip physics… I love it.
I shared this with others because I thought it was such a great idea. I can see it as a baby quilt with the appropriate panels. Or it would be great to help tie orphan blocks together by using fabrics that came from each one.
Yes!! So many options!
What a revelation! I have made crumb for years and cant resist those unusual panels, what a fabulous Idea. Tfs. Hugs from Wales UK xx
What a fun quilt. Thank you.
Thank you I have some panel blocks for a long time never knew what I wanted to make with them now I do
Hi Cindy, I absolutely love your version of crumb quilting. This will be very helpful for me to use up my panel stash
This is fantastic!! Thanks so much for sharing. 💜💜🧵
This is great!... also, important when fussy cutting little panels, that you include the 1/4 inch needed, in order to not cut off the printed picture of the panel...
Love your crumb quilt
Woah! That is SO cool!! Now I know how to use some of those panels!! Or odd blocks I made! And I have a lot of random sample blocks! I’m totally trying this technique! Thank you! 💕
I am always looking for sample pieces and jusy love using them, working on second log cabin at moment but have some panels that I will use in this way.
Thank you so much for sharing this awesome quilt ❣️✂️🪡🧵
What a wonderful quilt really like how you have used up your fabric i have so many crumbs thanks for showing how to use them up in a different way going to try this one
Love this one!! Super super cute and so many options. I’ve never made a crumb quilt. Now I have a project for this weekend. ☺️ Have a terrific weekend Fabric Patch Crew. Thanks for sharing. 🤗🤗
There’s always something to learn. I now can use some panels I thought I liked, but didn’t know what to do with them. I will be using my scraps. Thank you for keeping me inspired.
What a clever quilt pattern!
Absolutely lovely 😍 thank you for sharing ❤
As a SEASONED scrap and crumb quilter. I am so impressed with this!
My husband had many health issues and I was blessed to have scrappy quilting. To not have to think and concentrate on intricate patterns. This method lands some where in the middle of quilting as far as thinking levels.
I actually recruit Scraps from other quilters to donate scrappy/hidden object quilts for a cancer center.
Thank you for sharing this method.
How cute these are!!!!
This is very interesting. Thanks for sharing your technique.
I love your advice about doing squares of whatever sizes. I hand sewed a queen size story memory/photo quilt as my first and only project then I came and filled the spaces. I used your daughter’s advice using the backing for binding and it came out perfectly. For me, as a totally inexperienced person I was thrilled. Give my thanks to her. Regards from Melbourne Australia.
I loved watching you do this!
Love this. Thanks for sharing!!
Cool twist on crumb quilts. Love the incorporating of a panel into the mixture! 😊
Excellent demonstration! Loved it!
This is great thank you. And just what I am needing!
I have that fabric in the quilt on the wall. I got it from y'all. Just haven't started a quilt with it yet. Now, I know how to use it. Mine a big folk art fan.
Also what a gorgeous panel.
Wow, that is amazing! It looks so difficult and yet, when you explain it all, it makes so much sense. Thanks for the video girls!
Love your crumb cake quilt using different size panel pieces, I love what you did with the panel and thanks for sharing
What an intriguing project! I’ve been saving crumbs. This is so unlike a true crumb project but it’s fascinating.
LOVE THIS. Thanks! 😊💜
This is still my favorite crumb quilt (3rd time through the video 😂)
Made my day 👏🏻😄 love crumb quilts and NOW love panels, thank you 😊
Id love to see it all finished - quilted and bind
What a great idea! I love making crumb quilts…can’t wait to make one of these!
Such a unique way to use up scrapers and turn it into a fabulous quilt.
This is a wonderful twist on the crumb quilt concept. I love the panels in the quilt.
Can use this for a lot of different blocks! Thanks so much.
What an amazing idea!
Thankyou for this idea ... have been looking for a way to use some odd panel pieces!! This is a fabulous tutorial!!
This crumb cake pattern is wonderful. I have a few panels in my stash that would suit this perfectly. Thank you so much for sharing your pattern with us.
Thank you! Absolutely love this quilt. Changed my mind about a pattern I had chosen for panels for a friend… Immediately, when I saw this quilt.
Also, I think you’re right! I’m gonna make this quilt many many times…
and, those Civil War fabrics…?: Now! I have an excuse to buy “civil war fabric,” or for that matter, “Depression Era fabric!”
I have quite a few panels and had no idea what to do with them. This looks like a blast!
Thank you very much for your great video. I am new to quilting but I really like the crumb idea because it’s more friendly to beginners lol. I subscribed and I look forward to learning more from you thank you so much for all you do I really appreciated your video
Excellent!! Thank you!
I’m so glad this video showed up in my feed! I have a kit with some Laurel Burch cat panels and fat quarters that I bought from a quilt shop many years ago…. Probably 20….. and the pattern has basically these same instructions. It got packed away about 12 years ago and I just found it again last year. I’m the type of person that needs a recipe to make mashed potatoes so having a pattern with such “freeform” instructions was a little intimidating. I’m excited now to dig it out again and give it a go! Thank you!
Hello from Utah, USA. You have given us inspiration! Thanks for a job well done! Love the colors and the panels you chose for this quilt.
Great pattern!!
This is amazing and looks addictive. Have some Charley Harper that is not panels but sort of acts like itvis. I have been trying to figure out how to use for a throw for my husband. I think I've got it.
What a brilliant idea! And beautiful. Thank you for sharing 😍
How fun thank you 😊
I never knew what to do with panels, this must be what they were made for😊 thank you for such clear directions.
Excellent video! You did an awesome job of showing us how to make one of these beauties. Definitely need to put this in my queue!
Love it, love it, love it! How colourful and chaotic it is. I'm gonna call my quilt "No Rhyme or Reason". Thankyou so much for this beautiful, quirky, insane pattern. Be happy from Oz. Suzie
Another great video! This looks fun!
Great idea for use of scraps and fat quaters that have been sitting in my studio for years.
So a strip quilt, looking like a crumb quilt with excellent use of panels that have motifs that I had no idea what to do with until now! Thank you so much for sharing!👍
Thank you! I had been totally stumped trying to figure out how to make quilts for two grandsons. I wanted something a bit wonky as they are 12 and 15. I have a deer panel and a fish panel and was trying to figure out what to do with them. This is PERFECT!
Great idea. Thanks. I also have grandsons.
Absolutely brilliant!
I absolutely LOVE this!!! I have so many panels I'm looking forward to an easier way to use them! You guys rock!!
I am ADDICTED to making crumb blocks, but have not finished a crumb quilt yet. Maybe this will inspire me to grab a panel and start assembling a quilt top. Or maybe I'll just continue making crumb blocks because they are SO MUCH FUN!
Love this idea for using a panel! Thanks so much.
Ooooh, been looking for something like this. I have some small "panels" of pansies and needed a good idea of how to use them so as not to overpower them!
I love it!!! Thanks😊❤
I like both of those quilts but the one you do the search would be so fun for kids
Love this quilt, thanks for sharing the technique
Wow so fun can’t wait to make one 😉
Awesome. Just found a panel in my stash. This will be perfect. ❤️
THANK YOU SO MUCH. GREAT INFO TO HELP YOUR SUBS
Love this technique!
This is so neat Ill be abe to use my left over blocks thank you
I just finished a set of placemats using this fabulous fabric line from a charm pack and some yardage. I love this idea of a crumb quilt.
