I’m in the middle of cleaning and reorganizing my quilt room and fabric, and have watched probably close to 100 UA-cam videos on fabric storage, and yours is absolutely the most helpful of all. Thanks so much for sharing so much info on fabric storage!

This was a great video... thanks. I would love to have my hubby see your stash.... maybe he would stop razing me about mine (which is very small!

You should send your 2 1/2 inch squares or strips like that to somebody like Tiffany’s quilting life, or giving them away in the shop, I’m sure some of your customers would love your 2 1/2 inch squares and other scraps…..

Once again Cindi you were very helpful. I don't know why other fabric stores are not helpful like you.

I love your discussion about fabric in the dresser and the sewing machine on the table - this is how my fabric is stored along with a cedar chest and I use the kitchen table for sewing. My house is currently being renovated and this is the easiest solution for me right now. Thank you for sharing that - now I don't feel so bad.

I recently got all my fabric out of tubs (well almost all) and out where I can actually see it. I fold my yardage around my ruler like you do and then store it in 1 yd - 2 yd - 3 yd or more shelves. I have bins for my leftovers cut into 2-1/2 strips sorted by color. We currently have a basket of 2-1/2 squares also but that's because my great grandsons are working on Minecraft projects with me. Your stash is beautiful and I don't have any where near what you have. Slowly working my way through it all so my granddaughter (who unfortunately does not quilt) won't have to deal with it. But I keep buying more for some reason. Those Friday unboxings are killing me. Thank you for sharing

Hello Cindi, is that a purse pattern (top left on side of fabric shelf, it says add texture)? How I wish you had a club/BOM for purse/tote/wallet/utility basket, etc. making. I would sign up in a heartbeat. Any chance for that happening? :-)

You know what I hated the most? Using a brand new piece of fabric and then trying to fold it back just the way the store had it so nicely done - not ever happening!!! - LOL! That ruler folding is the coolest trick ever! This was greatest beginner tutorial yet. I am getting ready to sort all my bags from the stores. For now, since I don't go out, it will have to be big bin or see through Zip Lock bags made for storage. Thank you every so very much!

The game/life changing tip for me is using the 6x24 ruler to fold fabric.

Thank you, thank you! For me, the "Aha!" moment was the idea of wrapping my fabric around the ruler! I can see a Saturday with wine glass in hand, wrapping and wrapping. Will be a great space organizer.

You're just delightful, Cindy. I learn so much from you and the way you deliver reminds me of spending time with my bestie, and we'll both be in my kitchen making stuff and passing on tips on how to, when to, where to . . . . . you get what I mean!

Need fabric? Need doesn't have anything to do with it! Want, I want it, it brings me joy! If I never make anything with it, I go to the quilting room, rearrange, iron, fold, and fondle my fabric. And sigh with pleasure when I leave, satisfied and content!

What an awesome video. So helpful to anyone new, or veteran to quilting. I have totes for all my fabric, but can see now that I am doing it injustice because it’s hidden. RN 35 yrs, newly retired w new hip replacement, and can now spent time organizing my mess, and sewing endlessly, even in RV. Thank you so much for all you do, it is fresh, family first, inspiring, and so easy to listen, and learn, Thank you. Wendy S. Wenatchee
