- The plaintiff claims she asked her son, the defendant, for money, and he agreed to give her a loan. However, the plaintiff says her son hasn’t paid her the loan he promised, so she’s suing. The defendant insists he never agreed to a set amount.

My mom is in heaven and my grandmother as well I’m disabled and on oxygen and my family has never been there for me I’m on oxygen and will be without lights Thursday my family knows I’m on disability and will pay them back but refusing to help pay 128 dollars for me to get a extension to keep lights on I’ve been going without food no transportation and asked them for noodles and receive nothing God’s in control I could never do my sons like that anyone like that 😢
This case made me so mad. She is a piece of work. Abuse comes in many forms, not just physical. She is abusive and manipulative. That's exactly why he shuts down around them.

Seems like she did her mother and son a favor in leaving him with Grandma. Then Grandma leaves all that money to the one that she felt was more deserving, only to have it stolen by his own mother, who continues to exploit her own son.
That is one VILE woman. So glad Judge Mathis ruled in the defendant's favor. I'm glad he could say "I forgive you (mom)" at the end in the hallway, but I'd definitely go no contact with her after I walked out the courtroom doors. She deserves nothing from her "stooge" - especially since he seems to be a considerate, stand up man. Shame on her.
He can " Forgive" her, but that doesn't mean he should FORGET about the things she did to him.

@tom11zz884 I agree 100%. I don't see how he could forget the crap she put him through. I don't think anyone forgets their abusers and the abuse they put them through. I just don't see how that's possible. I'm in my mid-60s, and I've forgiven my abusers, but I can remember, unfortunately, every bit of abuse I was put through from when I was a child. It's terrible and a sad weight to have to bear, but it gets lighter. It just never goes away. So yeah, forgiveness can be done, but the forgetting never fades, which is really the sad part. But, it's ok. We grow. We pray, and we grow, yeah? Yes. We do - if we commit to it. And the joy is in not becoming like our abusers. We get to choose not to be like them. God is good. 😇

Nah, I'd be pissed she stole from me. My birth mother has done that. Until she made atonement and paid me back, she didn't have access to see me or my children. She actually ended up giving me lots of gifts out of guilt I guess too. Parent or not, you don't get to financially abuse and betray me. I believe in setting boundaries with people and letting them know what you will and will not tolerate. Don't excuse what people do to you just b/c of their relation to you. My ex’s mom gave his inheritance (from when his dad died) to her brother so he could “flip” it. That dude ran off with the money and used it for drugs. I felt so bad for him. He was already the side baby cuz his dad was married with a family and his mom was the dad’s secretary.
Moral of the story: leave ya baby’s money alone! You should not be taking anything from your children.
