The high desert of remote southeast Oregon has several spring fed streams purported to hold large Rainbow Trout. In this video I explore an aquamarine stream flowing through the outback of Oregon in search of big trout.

I spent the last 2 days trolling on deer creek reservoir and catching big chunky 2 pound rainbows in 65 degree sunshine. Felt so good to be out, thanks for keeping us entertained during this never ending winter!
hey that's in my neck O the woods! Very cool! Isn't the gate still locked? I'm thinking of wheeling my fishing kayak into Deer Creek Reservoir in the coming weeks.
Any tigers?
@@KevinBSelby gates and ramps are wide open, lake is about 65% full with the water almost up to the charleston road already. no tigers, just nice big fat bows. Hoping to find some walleyes too but no luck there.
@@chubbrock659 Awesome! I shall have to check it out in the next month...you sound like you hit it at the exact perfect time!
Spent the last few days out o. The middle Provo. Couple of nice browns. Tight lines!
My favorite lure for rainbow trout is the Thomas Buoyant in rainbow pattern. For brown trout I like the Buoyant in perch pattern or most any wobbler in brass. Didn't look as if you were overrun with other fishermen.
I am glad to see that even a seasoned professional doesn't always land the fish. I thought it was only me yesterday.
"dont need the barb if you keep pressure on them" says the guy who keeps losing fish. lmao.
Super cool location! Some serious hogs in that stream. Great video! Keep up the great work Tyler!
That song sparrow nest was so cool to see!
Also awesome fishing as always.
Dude I know where you are in this I live that river grew up on the lake behind you love it out there
I love that you switch between tackle! Dave Hughes described fishing as a journey of discovery. this video reminds me of that. Thanks for posting.
Tons of fish and such insistence on spending all day getting 1 or 2 on a fly. Catching is more fun than fishing! Brought to you by Panther Martin
I would love to go fishing with you man I’m in Redmond pretty close to there lol
Should of had that barbed hook lol
4:45 "Every time I change the lure I get a hit"...
It shows their food source is limited, and that they will hit almost anything. 🤷🏻♂️
Agreed 👍
Is that the Owen's river valley bro?
First one was it a browntrouth did not see the side
No, that was a turd you saw floating by. The first fish in the net was called a rainbow trout.
What state?
Location?
Why don't you start the video by giving some intro/context of what the video is about, not go straight into some gopro footage in which not much can be seen.
I do what I want
@@spiltmilt Well you won't want an audience then.
Can't make everyone happy but I can make myself happy.
Places like that are wonderful for mountain lions
They are, and they're very underrated pets...
A little warm milk and ya got a friend for life!
