I intend to fit vented disks.
Will the stock callipers support that change?

The calipers might but they could be too thick for the caliper brackets . I'm not 100% sure, you'd have to measure them against the non-vented disks

@@screwsnutsandbolts You're right. The bottleneck is the caliper brackets.
I have a 2001 Peugeot 206 1.4i, and the new vented discs are 23 mm. The caliper brackets are between 18 and 19 mm.
I’ve installed the full 13 mm discs and new brake pads. Everything fits, but there’s no room for larger components.

No it's not absolutely necessary on the caliper bracket bolts as long as they're tightened to the correct torque.
