This IS one of top ever ensamble of history. A lot of feeling and technics at same time played naturally with sapience this IS beauty inside and outside at same time tide and.. side
Saw the trio in Lund, Sweden 18 March 1989. A jawdropping concert at least for the audience. We wouldn´t leave the hall for several minutes coz the experience everyone had have just "took" us in to a higher state! :) A really good performance.
I saw this lineup a number of times. Thanks for posting this. Brings back alot of great memories. Mclaughlin has been my favorite guitar player since my late teens and seeing him With Kai and Trilok was outstanding.
That percussion section around 32 minute mark, though! Wow. When I first heard the album, I couldn't figure out how Trilok got that sound, but when I saw them performing this live (In Minneapolis), I was blown away!
Thaaanks for posting this. I saw this trio live around that time. It is a cherished, formative memory and greatly solidified the immense influence John Ji had on my guitar playing.❤
What can u say ,these guys are touched by god
This is an absolutely KILLER trio. Gurtu is one of my favorite drummers, and Eckhardt is a beast on bass. Mclaughlin is just... beyond words.

My favorite era of JM!!!! His just magic on a nylon!!!!!
My two brothers and I saw the John McLaughlin Trio in 1989
Now there’s some music. I saw these guys in 1989 at Berklee Performance Center. Incredible.
I believe it was 1990 with Kai, and then 1991 with Dominique. I was the promoter for both of those trio shows at Berklee.
Gurtu around 35 to 40 minutes in just blows my mind.
I Saw this trío with Dominic Miller in argentina...amaizing..
I saw this trio on my phone. Amazing

Maestro John is the best gitarista of all times!
Love this trio, my dad had it on cassette in the 1990's ❤️ John is a wonderful man 🙏
SO GREAT to be able to watch the group play these tunes that I've only so far been able to listen to(RFH recording). Just wow!!!
Chaos and precision … astounding … I remember this trio in the day, saw them in Los Angeles … a pleasant memory 🙏🏼✨
Trilok!!!!!!!!
around 31 and a half minutes in... my god!
L'album live at the Royal Festival Hall est sans aucun doute dans la short list que j'emporterais sur une île déserte

It's one thing to develop the facility of someone like Vinnie Colaiuta. It's entirely another to do it while sitting on one knee. 🤯
Trilok is one of a kind. It blew my mind when i first saw him doing it without the kick drum
