Taking a photo of the previous t-stat wire configuration was very helpful. I drew a diagram of my old t-stat with wire connections to letters (R, C, W, etc.) and then I drew a new diagram with the proposed location of the wires. This worked! It took about 1 hr. to complete (a professional might be able to do it in 15 minutes). Fortunately for us, the C wire was already there. Thank you, Honeywell!!!

What do you do if youve got a jumper from the w2 to the y2. The white wire is on the w2

Installation is pretty easy, just make sure you label all your wires BEFORE disconnecting from your old thermostat. It may not have the correct color codes or labels, so it's important you use the provided stickers to label the wires you remove from your old thermostat. If you do this, it should work fine. Also, I has a little trouble hooking up the WiFi at first. Make sure your wireless router does not have MAC filtering enabled before attempting to hook up, if it does, just disable it until you have attached the new thermostat and then re-enable it.

Installed it myself, but make sure that if you have AC and gas furnace, that both the AC and gas furnace breakers get turned off before you start to disconnect the wires from the old thermostat.

I hooked my new thermostat up, did everything right. But still unit did not power up, when i attached the unit to the wall. I troubleshooted, and still no power. Luckily it wasnt needed that night. I tooka night off and ran threw what i missed. I then tried something, i closed the furnace panel door, and POOOOF, the wires were hot. I didnt know there was a safety switch on the panel door on the unit in the basement. After finding this mistake, it only took 10 minutes to rewire, and get the unit powered up. Now im all set with my cell phone.
