Thank you! Been messing around with the new controller for several days, frustrated that house is not automatically heating in the morning. My marriage is restored, lol.
Magnificent! I bought this thermostat precisely for that and i was getting frustrated becuse it wouldnt do it. This video is a God sent. now, the thing is doing it. Fantastic! Thanks VERY MUCH for sharing.
Omesh, thank you for a thorough and accurate video for my new thermostat. I read the packet of material and knew there was an auto mode. Interesting that Honeywell makes the user drill down and peel layers to get to the change. Thankyou, sir, you are a scholar and a gentleman.
The Home screen can be a bit pissy on this. I have hard time getting response from the screen sometimes. I got so frustrated with it that I used the mytotalcomfort page to change settings. Thank you for this though, it helped me to know how to change some things on it.
I installed a new HVAC slot system this summer and the Honeywell T10 thermostat is set for either heat or cool. Old one used to have the auto changeover option which I used in the spring and fall. I asked the HVAC contractor about this and he said it’s not recommended to use auto changeover as it can damage the heat pump. I don’t see how manually changing from cool to heat would be any difference. Bottom line is that I need heat in the mornings and evening and cooling during the day.
Temperature offset is for tweaking what offset temp you want the unit to show and react to. Thermostat location in room may have a variation that you may want to compensate up or down in temp for. Other thing I did not see is thermostat hysteresis setting which would change the required difference between turn on and turn off temperatures. Again thermostat location in room effects this. Hysteresis will effect on-off times duty cycle of unit. Too tight and you may cycle on-off too often, too wide and room run cycle high-low temp spread may get too uncomfortable.
Thanks for sharing and a big middle finger to the loser engineer at Honeywell that didnt make this shiz very smart. Jackwagon. Mine is now a slight flickering on the display!

This video just saved my ass. Thank you. It’s insane that you have to go in there and make this change to begin with, but I’m very grateful to you
I've had this Honeywell wifi thermostat for 5 years and never knew it had this auto switch between heat and cooling mode. LOL Thank you!
I have been wondering this for like 2 years and was about to get a new thermostat. Thank you for posting!

Dont know why anyone would want manual mode. Thanks for the big help.
Thanks great video explanation, I thought my thermostat didn't have this feature
I’ve been wanting to set this feature, but Idid not find this option in the documentation. Thank you for demonstrating this easy procedure.

Finally. This bugged the crap out of me. Thank you.
Thank you! Very helpful, surprising that auto is not a default mode.
Just installed this unit and will set this up thanks!
OMG! THANK YOU! My brain was having a meltdown. So stupid and not intuitive that the default is Manual and not Automatic. 🤬
Great video! I was having a hard time figuring this out. Thanks!

It's official. I'm putting my old thermostat in. It doesn't run on my Wi-Fi and I simply click a button to turn the heat up or down.
Thanks.
Awe! That did it!
thank you!
My heater is not kicking on.
Thank you!!!!!!
Thanks!
Can you lock the screen so no one else can make changes?
Yes, you can.

I dont see cooler in mode why
You all have to read the directions, instead of guessing, he doesn’t even know the model, oh duh
You are a lifesaver!!
