It's a mad expensive case for my budget but personally, that is really the best looking case I've seen in a while. I'm not even a big ROG fan and always thought they were stupidly overpriced (that Ryujin cooler is the best example), but somehow this is an exception. Maybe because everything nowadays looks so similar. It's either NZXT minimalistic or gaudy tempered glass/mesh front that shows 2 or 3 rgb fans. I don't know, that look of 3 rgb fans at the front is getting really old now but the Helios managed to stand out and strikes a very nice balance of gamer design and elegance. I love the edgy but controlled shape of the case with the diagonal lines and scribbles. The RGB lighting in the front is so tastefully done and I love how the front fans are just black. Only thing I wish it came with for this price was a vertical GPU mount. I haven't been drawn to a pc case this much in a long time and I've found myself actually saving up for it. This is gonna be my Christmas gift to myself after not buying anything for a while. Can't wait!

I bought the Case for $405 CAD. GST plus Tax was $426.79 CAD. I didn’t think twice of the price but i feel like a king for buying a unnecessary, sexy, expensive case. I bought it in white. Lian li fans are good for back fan and 3 top fans with aio i’d leave the front fans because it should keep the black and white vibe mixed with the brushed metal
Well, you can't deny that fact that you have a "strap on"!

ROG Aura terminal: Do I not exist anymore?
(I wouldn’t be bringing this up if it wasn’t for the fact that the thing isn’t used properly in these ROG Helios builds. Granted bitwit did use the aura terminal... he just mounted it on the back instead of the front where it could’ve be displayed. Oi)

I was looking for a new case . And came across s vid about the helios by linustech and comparing this vid of yours to his . yours is much more succinct and better by far . simple easy to understand and better presented . I've gleaned more from yours than I have from his . Thank you
Cases nowadays are getting pretty. Think this case looks amazing. There tag line should have been strap me up and take me everywhere
Most of them are still either ugly or have a bad airflow :/
I love it. Tech Jesus did a Shit review of this and missed a lot of the finer points,instead trying his hardest to shoot it down. I'm wholeheartedly an Asus fan but am happy to admit when they f something up.... this is an excellent way to show off their 'ecosystem', and i can forgive most of the downsides. at £200 id save and buy one but its just a bit much, the PSU shroud front and side are a shame and weird not to have sorted. keep it up Tom lad hope you're on the up and up!
About the SSD sticker . That SSD mount would be more fitted for TeamGroup RGB SSD's. They have the writing sideways.
That location is for the ASUS ROG STRIX ARION M.2 NVME SSD ENCLOSURE WITH RGB LIGHTING (ESD-S1C) to hang on.
Or u can put the rog aura terminal on it

i don't get it. making the back-side panel out of glas, so you can see through but in the same time hide everything that can be seen under a coverplate.
the front 2'5 mount is for the aura terminal, that's why the hole is on top

I love it when i dont even want the product. Its almost as if i was superior, like... a top fan or something like that. (They should add top fan to youtube BTW). The common thing is not having money for something... so, when you dont even want it, feels so good. My white core p3 is really my favourite case, and i even bought the tempered glass panel (it comes with a acrilic one but u can upgrade it)5
does the retail version come with the vertical gpu mount? i mean the one that allows you to put it closest to the motherboard, and not far out next to the glass.

Over time using those straps to lift it, could the case not flex under its own weight?
Also they could have made a better cut out for the power supply considering much effort has gone into the design and the digital read out of Watts?

Thanks for the review. I wish you went in with the rads a bit more though. What would be the most optimal solution ? I've seen push/pull 360 in front PE and SE 360 Push on top working alright. I am wondering is there anyway to make 420 front and 360 top work and what would be the rad thickness I could use.

Nice case, to expensive but it is a nice case. Top review as per Tom!!!! Now all Rog have to do is make Memory modules and then you'll have the complete Rog system ;)
Great review, i got the same case in white and finally i got rog strix 3080ti that i want to mount vertically but is there any pcie 4.0 rise that is working properly without the need to change the setting on the Bios to pcie gen 3 ?
What is the length of the PCI riser I should use with this case ? is 20 cm enough ??....
ROG Ryujin AIO comes with Noctua fans,m I'd stick with those personally rather than swapping them for RPG fans.

Pretty good Review, im already 6 months waiting for the price drop.. my only 2 considerations are 1. The airflow (glass front) and 2. The rgb hub, sounds like the rpm for the fans are not adjustable!? Does someone hav a solution for the Rgb hub ?
Hello, please tell me, if the video card is installed through a riser, then hot air from the 3000 series of nvidia video cards will blow directly onto the motherboard socket. What are the temperatures on the socket? For example, does the x570 have a fan that will suck in hot air? How hot is it?

As far as marketing, they've targeted a specific niche' and won't sell more than that segment population, how many that may be. And a glass panel on the backside of any case doesn't make any sense; that's why I have a Corsair 460X.

Very nice review, i have on the way 2 ASUS HELIOS CASE and i wanna use Vertical GPU ( STRIX RTX2080TI O11G and STRIX RTX2080 O8G) Question is, if you can suggest a Riser Cable or what is the riser cable you use. I'm asking this because i experience some problems with some Riser Cables that causes Video problems specifically with RTX series. Please help me to confirm that. Thank you!

The main downside to this case for me is one you did not talk about. The fact that it will only hold 2 standard 3.5 hard drives.

Mtested all sticks with no errors, won't boot with one of new sticks in slot A either. contacted Corsair(Thank you for the update. I have only one issue.
I havent been able to connect the "serial SATA" that comes from the front IO panel (which gives power basically to the additional fan hub and the front lights). I did put all the other wiring such as the power on, reset button etc, as those have clear places to fit into on the motherboard.
Anyone knows how to get that connected?
I have the exact same problem and it’s upsetting no one really knows, personally I ordered a 6 pin sata power cable from Corsair, I’m not sure if it’s going to blow smoke or not, but if it works I’ll update my comment here.

Why do you always build with Asus?
Tom explained this once before Asus always send him product samples whereas the other manufacturers don't or don't send much so he works with what he gets and don't worry as it doesn't stop him from bashing them if they make stupid mistakes.

Can we get back to having decent pc cases rather than panes of glass held up by pc components, in a shitty metal frame with go faster techno fairy lights. Todays cases are worse than those goths dancing to thomas the tank engine. Fuck.
That front radiator space is so ugly. To me it destroys the whole frontside. Same with the Phanteks Enthoo Evolv X. Just overengineered. Shame.

What a terrible looking case.... should be about £80 tops imho.
This garbage case with the dog leash woven into it again? Asus I love you but please just let other case makers put your logos on them, Lian Li and NZXT come to mind.
