The more Jay turns the case, the more confused I am
Ikr, how or where do you even plug stuff in to the board or the gpu?? o.O
Yeah do all cables have to come out the little hole? Is the IO internal?
What's confusing the left side is the top and the top is applesauce, easy
Ya, over, under, square and round, down side up and up side down, back and forth which way is it's found?
ikr
“Do you want some computer with your gpu” 🤣
Better question is, does he want some friiiiies wit dat shake?
3090 on itx is hilarious. It reminds me of when people add GPUs to tiny single board computers.
Actually that is not a joke now in 2020.
*need
Ah, I see you have a motherboard sticking off of your graphics card.
"Let's put it over here safely so I can kick it in a minute" lmaoooooo
Jay: *Takes the "top" and "bottom" panels off and swaps them*
Me: Oooooohh
Jay: Somebody's already going "oooooohh" in the comments
same, the guy is a psychic
Then he flips it up side down
The 3090 to motherboard : LOOK IM THE MOTHERBOARD NOW
It's certainly a big motherboarder....
Fatherboard
Mothercard is a mother of a card
motherboard is adopted by GPU
3090 to that motherboard: "Look at me. I'm the captain now"
i'm the motherboard now
Captain Phillips. Very nice.
so nowadays you plug a mobo into your gpu..
I barely managed to fit an ASUS ROG Strix RTX 3080 in it. Lol
Edit: read your comment wrong. Thought about the case, not MB
Sounds like a bad case of worst case scenario. I'll show myself out.
Dorian pls. Get in the pond since you wanna be such a silly goose
The ol' pick up entire case and shake until lost screw drops out. Love it. Been there many times!
"do you need some computer with your gpu"
I would want that, yes.

"The head fits perfectly in there" *close up shot, grinning* This is the content I came here for.
What time

Looks like someone has been leaving "special" brownies in the Asus lunch room again.
"Do you need some computer with your GPU"...too funny
"ITX case"
More volume then most mATX cases. MEMEs.
I know right, I heard small form factor and my ears perked up, what I got was what looks like a vertically oriented ATX case
@@ltcuddles685 It almost 40 liters in volume man. About the same size as the Fractal Meshify C.
The regular one... not the mini.
Sff itx cases aren’t niche enough let’s make a $300 mammoth itx case people will love it
Also 20 pounds. Realll portable
@@pokepokepoke64 I have a very old Pentium-III-era ATX case, with a full rack of 5" drive bays, sitting in my 1-800-GOT-JUNK pile, and I'm pretty sure it is quite a bit smaller than this monster. But then again, I was running a GPU about the size of playing card.
Jay: I'd go with vertical 9:47
Also Jay: I'd go with horizontal 13:16
moi
bwhahaha
The horizontal has a Problem...the 3080 blows hot air down, but since hot air rises...well. The 3080 will breath used air...
@@gucky4717 maybe 9:59 can change your mind about hot air rising (convection). Air will flow where the fans dictate it, hot air rising only applies if your fans are off.
Yup I noticed that too 😂 for me I'd go for horizontal 👍
6:15 Hello police? I'd like to report a crime. Some bigass GPU is assaulting a mini itx motherboard!
Me: "Ohh that's neat, I wonder how it looks when placed like an old desktop?"
Jay: "I'm gonna turn this case every single way possible except placing it as a desktop!!"
Me: "aww"
I would have liked to see how to access the rear IO, couldn't figure it out from the video
You feed the cables through an opening in the case and plug them into the I/O. You have to have the side panel off to do this and then put the side panel back on.
I was thinking the same thing the whole video. Erwalkerca's explanation sounds interesting, but I would have liked to see it in action.
@@Rose-tw8rp I know Hardware Canucks assembled a complete computer in their video review and showed this problem. It is also mentioned in written reviews by the likes of the one on Tom's Hardware.
You use the hole in the case that Jay fingered around the 14:45 mark

Hey Jay, I was thinking they should have put feet on the aluminum back panel, or made it an option and orient it like a stereo receiver. I think it would look better and be more versatile for AIO's. I think it would look better that way as well. If you could fit the 3080 in there, it would fill out that glass panel better since it's not only longer, but its taller as well and you would see more of it than the 3080. Thanks for the great video.
I laughed my ass off at the "Do you need some computer with your GPU" part. 😂😂😂

17 minutes of Jay being confused and Phil laughing.... this is comedy gold :D
It's all the worst parts of an ATX case with all the worst parts of a Micro-ATX case.
With the price of a boutique itx case. lol
really, just get a microatx mini-tower case and move on. surely they still make those right?

Designer at Asus playing a practical joke and seeing how much bullshit he can get away with. Turns out it was a lot.
Lol, "new ITX case" while standing over a huge Full Tower size Crate...
to be fair ITX case mainly means it fits a ITX Mobo and not that has a small volume, if a full tower only had mounting for an ITX mobo than i guess it would still be an ITX case
I don’t understand the point of this case lol...as if sff itx isn’t niche enough let’s make a huge form factor itx case and charge a super premium for it... asus must have seen the price tag on super premium sff cases and thought hurdur people will pay 300 for itx case
I thought I heard him wrong, man this thing looks like trash
clearly you've never bought a full tower.. lol
That was no where near the size of a full tower lol. MAYBE mid tower at best.
Considering the size of the case compared to the components it's meant to use, this one is clearly meant for custom watercooling. This is also one of those cases where the back panels connectors aren't readily accessible and everything has to be extended. It's been clearly engineered to optimize looks and performance over practicality, which is fine, but definitely not for everyone.
Those few dislikes is people who simply doesn't understand you humour....

*Without a doubt the most fun pc build I've seen recently ... you're the king Jay 😂*
That seem like an awfully inconvenient case
I can appreciate the aesthetics of small form factor caes but my linebacker hands love spacious mid towers.
@@arkeshn729 My biggest gripe is that most ITX cases are either too small for any decent size GPU or air cooler (I prefer be quiet! coolers over water cooling) which don't fit in almost any ITX case) or they have stupid I/O placement because they went for some different MoBo orientation.

It's a nightmare. Especially for me right now when my monitors won't get a signal. Think I stretched my short cables too much.
Yes you need long cables for this case
I feel like this case would actually work great with a custom loop that includes the GPU (especially after seeing der8auer do the shunt modding on the 3080 and 3090) and some nice, high static pressure fans. I also love those black rubber tubes that are common now, and it'd go nicely with the rest of the case.

That would make too much sense. We can’t have any of that.
Space for custom watercooling I guess. ATX cases that are most suitable for custom loops are also larger than usual, that's just the way it is.
@@SteelSkin667 but there are cases that can fit matx boards (which are cheaper than itx boards) that can also do liquid cooling
You take your common sense elsewhere!
@@baldino9165 Yeah, and these are larger as well, liquid cooling hardware just requires a lot of space.
I'm not saying that ITX makes sense for watercooling (it really doesn't), I'm just saying that's why the case is big.

I appreciate your case reviews and I understand only doing those that jump out at you. You're the reason I went with the Fractal Design r6 that I love. Glad to see coverage moving on from Nvidia and their BS. However, that case is terrible. I would just get a micro ATX if I wanted something that big.

That's actually a pretty nice looking rig right there. You're right, that RTX 30 series FE really fits in perfectly with the case's lines. Love the brushed aluminum.
you could also make it a desktop style case by adding some stick on feet to the side that doesn't have the glass.
That's a pretty cool case. It would be a REALLY cool ITX case if it was a bit smaller, but the concept of being able to place it in several different orientations is a very nice feature.
After all the cases I have seen, why is it so hard to make a simple, decent case with a wind tunnel effect to maximize cooling while taking into account the minimal amount of space needed to fit even large components into? Am I missing something here?
You are trying to apply common sense to a thing that has been built to apply to "Gamerzzzzz by Gamerrzzzzz" so its all edgy and cool maaan.
Instead of functional, attractive and easy to work in and around.
It's not hard to do. It's hard to want to do. Asus like so many other companies is run by their marketing department. Which is bullshit for a tech company. We really should be past this.
