Ive added cut out lighthouses etc. From wall paper abd wall paper borders from resale stores from like $1 and then put the sealer over the top worked great .
I really like it but I'm not sure how you did the transfer the image on the top. Because I've only purchased stencils where you have to paint them in and it doesn't seem like like that's what you had to do so I guess I need to investigate further so I can understand.
as long as you clean it before you will be fine. I use amy howards clean slate first. Just depends on what chalk paint you use some require a light sand. If its super high gloss I would prob do a light sand but nothing major.
Ok thanks :) also we don't have Annie Sloan paint readily available here....do you know if there are any dixie belle, colorantic or country chic variations of that teal? Ty ♡
Keisha Lynn Stevens I have to drive 2 hrs to get Annie Sloan brand and now since covid I haven’t tried to go buy more. I’m trying different brands. Amy Howard’s which is online, if you buy BBFrosh powder you can make your own from any color at the hardware store. Haven’t tried Dixie yet either. My next purchase I think will be rainbow chalk paint it’s online and fb
I’m brand new to chalk painting and I watched a couple videos and got excited and jumped the gun🤦🏻♀️ I have a cherry bedroom suit that’s very nice but was bought in 1987. I didn’t prime it and did some light gray . I had splotches every where , where the dark wood blead through. I decided to go over it with a chip brush in truffle but I’m on the edge about how it looks. Never seen another piece that looks like this . Help??
Hi Whitney, you need to take the clear coat finish off first, I always you a cleaner that takes that off and then I paint. I used amy howards cleaner but there are many out there. Wise owl has one too. Otherwise you need to prime or lightly sand that finish off.
I'm outside and he gets plenty of air. water based and It is a non-toxic and virtually odour-free paint that has minimal volatile organic compounds (VOCs) at 0.13% VOC

Your hair is really pretty
Thanks
What tool did you use for rubbing the stencil on the wood? I’m a beginner and taking notes from your video. Thanks.
Hi, its just a flat piece of wood like a paint stir you can get at the hardware store. But that stencil kit comes with a stick.
Love it ♡ do you have a link for the transfers? Thanks 😊
I don’t, but I bought them on Etsy they have multiple sellers on there that sell that transfer

That’s not a stencil; it’s called a transfer!
Yah I know, I have a habit of saying stencil.
I really like the Woodglut plans.
