YHWE is simply the initials of "I'm that I'm" in Hebrew. There is almost no agreement on the meaning and origins of the name Yahweh,[15] which is not attested other than among the Israelites and seems not to have any plausible etymology: Ehyeh ašer ehyeh ("I Am that I Am"), the explanation presented in Exodus 3:14, appears to be a late theological gloss invented to explain Yahweh's name at a time when the original meaning had been forgotten.[16][17] One scholarly theory connected with this holds that 'Yahweh' is a shortened form of the phrase ˀel ḏū yahwī ṣabaˀôt, (Phoenician: 𐤀𐤋 𐤃 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 𐤑𐤁𐤀𐤕) "El who creates the hosts", meaning the heavenly host accompanying El, the chief god of the Canaanites, as he marched beside the earthly armies of Israel.[18][15] The argument has numerous weaknesses, including, among others, the dissimilar characters of the two gods El and Yahweh, and the fact that el dū yahwī ṣaba'ôt is nowhere attested either inside or outside the Bible.[19]
Interesting Thanks I had the same question because I have heard many people say Jews Islam and Christianity share the same abrahamic god/God so does this mean the terms islamic: Allah Jewish: Yahweh and Christian: God the father represent a different type of God?
0:54, that is what I was thinking. Is God Allah, or is God, God. In 5:72 we are not saying Allah is Messiah, we are saying Jesus is Messiah. God lived a life on earth as a man. Can God do all but be man? God as a man, Jesus, did Godly things, Loving things as Himself, a man. Jesus is the most Holy example. Jesus is fully man and fully God. Love and abundance to your families.
1:26, I use the term deity to describe over worshipped people of life applications. I believe there probably was a person called mercury and he probably had a large company, and he was very skilled and gifted, with commerce, medicine, other characteristics and loving, but I do not believe he is nor was God but I do believe he was godly. I believe he was deified. There are aspects of deities that are life practical. Such as handling dead bodies as with Hades, growing a harvest as with Hestia, building hunting tools with Hephaestus, and so on.
Nouman Ali Khan did a wonderful lecture that broke down spectacularly the meaning of Ila, saying that it doesn’t actually mean God, but a very profound type of untouchable Love in regards to Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala ❤

There is no reason not to translate the word Allah as God and God as Allah. Christian Arabs call God Allah. Why? Because the word for God in Arabic is Allah. Simple. And the reverse is also true... the word for Allah in English is God. By definition both words refer to the God of Abraham. Don’t get confused simply because of a change in language.
If you had read the reason why i said what i said and you understood it and you are still saying this,I can only say to you;prepare your answers if Allaah tabaarakasmuh asks you about this
If there is no reason not to translate the name of Allaah then there is no name at all,all the names must be translated...LEARN FIRST,then say something
It is more problematic to say God. Because god can be anything, it can be stone, mountain, fire, person, you yourself, etc. But when u say Allah it means one and only absolute God.

God told Moses, "after you lead the people out of Egypt, all of you will worship me on this mountain.” (Exodus 3:12) Moses asked God what he should tell the people if they ask on whose authority he has been sent. When you go to the people of Israel, tell them, 'I AM (Hebrew, ‘YHWH’, which sounds like ‘Ehyeh’) sent me to you… This will always be my name, by which people from now on will know me'.” (Exodus 3:14-15) Allah is a pagan god existing in the Arabian peninsula even before Mohammed ! I would like to send a copy to Dr. Shabir for perusal, expert opinion and feedback, in shaa Allah.

0:57 The personal name of the Abrahamic god is YHWH. I wonder why the author of the quran doesn't mentions that personal name.
How do u know its YHWH??? Cos someone put these in bible doesn't mean its a name revealed by God himself
YHWE is simply the initials of

0:54, that is what I was thinking. Is God Allah, or is God, God. In 5:72 we are not saying Allah is Messiah, we are saying Jesus is Messiah. God lived a life on earth as a man. 1:26, I use the term deity to describe over worshipped people of life applications. I believe there probably was a person called mercury and he probably had a large company, and he was very skilled and gifted, with commerce, medicine, other characteristics and loving, but I do not believe he is nor was God but I do believe he was godly. There are aspects of deities that are life practical. Such as handling dead bodies as with Hades, growing a harvest as with Hestia, building hunting tools with Hephaestus, and so on.

If God's personal name is in arabic ... We have a big problem
7:15, yay second coming!
So the proper name of the god in Islam is Allah? Very problematic.
Explain yourself please
It is more problematic to say God. Because god can be anything, it can be stone, mountain, fire, person, you yourself, etc. But when u say Allah it means one and only absolute God.
If you look at etymology of the word Allah, we will have Al and illah , Al in Arabic means The and illah means god. Both form Allah, The God. Definite article The indicate absoluteness that only Him is God and all others gods are falsehood.
@@islamforall437 Claiming that “Allah” is not a mere loanword to designate the title god but is the actual proper name of your God contradicts previous scriptures and makes Allah a god that is distinct from the God of Abraham. The God of the Bible already revealed his personal name, any other name used refers to another deity not THE TRUE God of the Bible.
@@rasaqyusuf947 That’s a funny argument, since the word “Allah” is itself used as a title and could be assigned to anything at all. You seem to be missing the point here. The discussion here is about Allah being the PERSONAL NAME of God. Allah is consequently a very different deity from the Biblical God.

But when God appeared in a burning bush on Mt Sinai, he revealed to Moses his own personal name. God told Moses, "after you lead the people out of Egypt, all of you will worship me on this mountain.” (Exodus 3:12) Moses asked God what he should tell the people if they ask on whose authority he has been sent. "God said to Moses, 'I AM WHO I AM (Hebrew, ‘Ehyeh aser Ehyeh’). When you go to the people of Israel, tell them, 'I AM (Hebrew, ‘YHWH’, which sounds like ‘Ehyeh’) sent me to you… This will always be my name, by which people from now on will know me'.” (Exodus 3:14-15)

" Behold I ( Jesus) am coming soon! My ( Jesus) reward is with me, and
I ( Jesus) will give to everyone ( believers in Jesus) according to what he has done. I am ( Jesus)

" I , Jesus , have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches

I am ( Jesus) the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star."

Jesus Christ is the only, the Truth and the Life!!
Jesus already paid the penalty for our sins.
Repent and ask His forgiveness and approach Him in humility, Receive Him in your life and He will give eternal life to those who will trust in Him.
" He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have Life." ~ 1 John 5:12~
1:20, God is Love, Love is Jesus, Jesus is God.
So did the pagans before Islam called their moon god Allah. The Father of muhhamed ( Abdullah ibn Abd al-Muttalib) who was a pagan called his god Allah.
Its pure contradiction to use the word Allah to false idol
...
These Pagans were the descendants of monotheists who used to worship Allah alone, but later became pagan and gave him sons, daughters etc. God alone (Arabic Allah) was worshiped before the Arabs became pagan.
Book of Idols is the source.
@@denizisi7245 Pagan worshipped their moon god that they called Allah long before Islam existed.
@@kingofjudah6875 I don’t doubt that, but I’m talking about the worship of God before the Arabs became pagan.
allah is not the God of Abraham, Isaac and of Jacob. So allah is not the God who made the heaven and the earth.
The God of Abraham, Isaac and of Jacob is the only True Living God who is Sovereign, Omniscient Omnipotent and Omnipresent!!
wallahi
Like any of this matters. Go help someone in need.
May Allaah reward the Sheikh for what he has done for the religion of Islam and may Allaah forgive him but I really disagree this to say god as Allaah,Allaah is Allaah or Illaah is Allaah; He Allaah tabaaraka-smuhu named himself Allaah or Illaah then say what He Allaah named to himself(is that so difficult!!).I also want to say who has the authority to say muslims use this name and it is no problem...it's a BIG PROBLEM. Can anyone tell me where does the name of god come from?or can anyone has the authority to translate the name of Allaah?I can say more and more to proof you are wrong:إنما يأمركم بالسوء والفحشاء وأن تقولوا على الله ما لا تعلمون(البقرة).You can also see surah An'am, A'raf and Yunus.I conclude this hadith:عن أبي سعيد رضي الله عنه، أنَّ النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: ((لَتَتَّبِعُنَّ سَنَنَ مَنْ قَبْلَكُم شِبْرًا بشبْر، وذراعًا بذراع، حتَّى لو سَلَكُوا جُحْر ضَبٍّ لَسَلَكْتُمُوهُ))؛ قلنا: يا رسول الله؛ اليهودُ والنَّصارى،قال النبي صلات الله عليه : ((فَمَن؟!))؛ رواه الشيخان. It is not allowed that everything they say or do that we have to say or do it,we have the Quran and the sunnah(sahih)alhamdulillaah,we have to bring it back to the Quran and sunnah;what confirms the Quran and sunnah we accept and what we don't find it or against the Quran we don't take it. May Allaah guide us to the straight bath.Sorry if I prolonged the words.May Allaah's peace be upon you.
Jesus is Lord and thee son of God. Water, vapor, ice are all the same substance. Like the father, son, and holy spirit. Amen.
So if Allah means "the God" as Shabir rightly explains it, then my my question is, what is the proper name of this God?? Allah is not a proper name!
Allah don't have personal names. We should always call God God. There are attributes like all merciful all knowing ect.
@@AshrafAli-is4wv but the God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and appeared to Moses had a personal name. He said that his name is Yahweh, also translated as Jehovah. This is the God of Jews and Christians. In surah 29 ayat 46 Muslims are commanded to tell jews and Christians,"...... Our God and your God is one and to Him we submit." Now the word translated God is "ilaha" not Allah. So Allah is a specific name for the God of Islam. One of Christians is called Yahweh, meaning that the God of Islam is NOT the God of Moses and jews and Christians! He is a new god!
@@wycliffenyongesa3845 How come the word Yahweh is not in the New Testament?
@@wycliffenyongesa3845 yahweh you people made it up. Its YHWH, thats how its appear in Hebrew, but nobody knew what it meant before. People made things up along the way, turned into jehovah. Why j been added? Elohim is in Hebrew. Ilah is Allah. If you translate your verses in arabic, it will say Allah. And all religion, God is one on every scriptures, so its childish to say different religions have different gods.
@@AshrafAli-is4wv then can you explain how YHW turned into Allah?
GOD.... Because Allah is a pagen God who is a moon god.
You make up your own fatwa lol
Allah is amoon god
And of His portents are the night and the day and the sun and the moon. Do not prostrate to the sun or the moon; but prostrate to Allah Who created them, if it is in truth Him Whom ye worship. [Q:41:37]
