Those 40 days.... filled me with kindness, peace and love and connected me with ASW❤.
I was so bad to my 40 days jmaat group but allhamdulillah they were all seniored in jmaat and killed my arrogance with kindness may ASW BLESS THEM WHERE EVER THEY ARE .

I was part of tabligh jammat for at least couple of years. People in the tabligh jammat are the nicest people in the world. Their hearts are soft because they are connected to the religion twenty four seven. They are doing the work of prophets. They are bringing Muslims back to their religion so they attain heaven with their families.

Nothing may seem wrong with it. But the thing is, these practices lead to innovations. Many people this is fard. How do you make something obligatory when Allah hasn't made it obligatory? There are many kinds of innovations that accompany with these Jamaats. This is just one example

@@alizaka1467 innovations? obligatory? I've been to events in the USA and Canada and listened to countless of hours of talks. never have I ever felt a tone of obligation. Actually, it was always a calm conversation about working on the inner soul and connecting to Allah. No agenda, no propaganda, no give us money nothing...it was always: if you have the time, try to make time but if you can't, you can't. In the long run, we can all benefit from a little time out, time away, time with brothers, time talking about Allah etc... Your comment actually has no examples just accusations. This is not Islamic and your message goes against our values. Please try to either give black and white examples or best not to say anything. May all protect us.

Some Tabligh brothers in my country, Ghana, are extreme in how they follow the Sunna of the prophet. They prefer to walk instead of taking vehicles to their outreach programs. They don't like modern technologies; When they're sick they don't want to go to hospital instead they're doing Rukya. The wife of Tabligh brother died through childbirth because the husband didn't want to take her to hospital for fear of doctors and nurses seeing her nakedness.
But I love the Taqwa and devotion of the brotherhood.👍

Once a doctor went to visit the school where he did his primary education learning a, b, c, d etc. He was surprised to see that they were still teaching a, b, c, d in the class after so many years. So he showed his displeasure and requested that all primary schools should be closed down.
It is strange to see that a person who has reached such a level of education could not realise that without this primary education he would not have been able to become a doctor.

So, one have to be aware atleast of the potential to extreme behaviour. Otherwise it's a beautiful idea behind that and it helps a lot of Muslims to come back. For me the pure intention to become a better version of itself day by day, by constantly reviewing each "usool" aka, methodologies for each country, state, and neighborhood is the best of all. Leave your homes only once in your entire life for 120 days to go to the environment of Allah's worshipers. Leaving home for 40 days every year to know instruction according to the environment for preaching. Then you have to practice every day, for two and a half hour, & 3 days every month.,, Doctor, you are very lucky. You are above this curriculum. You and your family are connected to this service every day. Live a long life - Dr. Remember in your prayers. Thank you very much. Amen

Then came Tablighi jamaat, they arranged congregations on village, District and state level where prominent Ullemas speakers have lectures and encouraged people to join jamaat where people used to go away from home and used to make a group of 10-100 people and lived in mosques from other villages for 3 days,10 days ,40 days.
I was with them for 3 days, and I was surprised to know that most of the Muslims couldn't recite Qalima, the declaration of faith. They revived Islam in indian subcontinent in a very humble and peaceful manner. Their only goal is to revive those who are Muslims already.

      You learn all aspects.
The 1st point of the 6 which Sheikh Shabir Mentioned. Is not just the Kalima, It is to develop the yaqeen/conviction of that Kalima (the deeper meaning of it, into our hearts and lives).
Whislt I'm on the Subject, the Book they use "Fazail e Aamaal" is used as just that "rewards of actions" it's purpose is not to learn fiqh from it, but simply to encourage the doing of the action, say Prayer or recitation of Quran. In such a context even if some Weak Hadith are used, it's valid. Beacuse the intent is to Encorage the GOOD actions, salah, Quran recitation, dikhr etc.

This Movement is game changing within 1990-201x. Widespread around the muslim countries, thankfully the bases are in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh that have people who like to travel around the world.
    + They have high spirit
+ They doesn't want to debate about madhab. Just believe with your own madhab
+ They dont talk about your political preference
+ They teach the basic of faith, easy to understand
+ They not see people wealth status, anyone can join
    - currently they are separated by two faction. It is so heartbreaking to see some elders are separating.
    - most of them is regular persons, not a well taught scholar.
    - some high spirit persons forgot to spare some money for their family while they do khurooj. This lead to fitna from the neighborhood.
    - bcoz they forbid to talk the differences in mazhab, they dont really focus on fiqh. So you should learn fiqh with your trusted fiqh scholar outside this movement.
    - they don't like to use multimedia technology to do da'wah. They want to do da'wah in face2face.
So in Tablighi Jamaat, you will met various of people with different backgrounding, some will lead to good experience or sometimes bad experience. Mosque is a place for your all day activities, praying, dizkr, rest, eat, discussion, learning, da'wah etc.
Most of people participated in Tablighi Jamaat have a kind heart, care, tolerate, high spirit, like to smile 😊

Also, the selection of books is taking into consideration that fact that the author is from the Jama’at. That is not good practice for getting knowledge. Shaykh Hammūd al-Tuwayjirī [d. 1413 AH] said:
Some of the scholars have mentioned that a man from among the students of knowledge in Madīnah went out with the jamāʿah al-tablīgh to Hanākiyah. The leader of this group was one of the heads of the jamāʿah al-tablīgh.
During the night, this student saw one of the [tablīghiyyīn] from India jumping whilst exclaiming ‘هُوَ هُوَ هُوَ [him, him, him]’1. So he [the student of knowledge] tried to stop him which caused [the tablīghī] to leave what he was doing and remain silent.
In the morning, the student of knowledge told the leader of the group what this Indian tablīgī had done, thinking that he would object to this action. Instead, this group leader objected to the student of knowledge reprimanding this tablīgī. He said, with deep anger [to the student of knowledge], ‘You have become a Wahhābī! By Allāh, if I had the power, I would burn the books of Ibn Taymiyyah, Ibn al-Qayyim, and Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd al-Wahhāb. I would not leave a single copy of those books for anyone on the face of the earth!’
So the student of knowledge separated himself from them upon hearing such ugly speech from their leader. He also recognised the enmity they hold for the leaders of knowledge and guidance from the people of tawḥīd and defenders of the Sunnah. He realised their relentless fight against their books that comprise tawḥīd, calling to it, and sincerely directing all forms of worship to Allāh alone, and forbidding shirk, innovation, nonsensical acts, and every kind of misguidance and objectionable act and warning against these things and from those who engage in them.
In this story there is the most critical of cautions to anyone with an intellect from joining the ranks of the jamāʿah al-tablīgh. [It should caution] from ever being tricked by them and all they claim from false visions, miracles, and [clairvoyant] dreams. For these are the actionable clauses they base their entire group around, and these are the hunting tools they use to ensnare the feebleminded, kidnapping them from the circle of the sunnah and its sciences to the circle of ṣūfiyyah, and all types of innovation, acts of misguidance and ignorance. They have already managed to trick students from some schools and institutions causing them to go out with them on their excursions, leaving their pursuit of the [true] knowledge of the sharīʿah. They have been instrumental in their preferring ignorance and false desires over knowledge and guidance. If they only knew what they were abandoning! What a tremendous loss!
    Endnotes:
[1] A common sūfī practice of performing what they term dhikr. They claim to shorten the shahādah in this way to increase the amount of dhikr, and according to them if Allāh should take their life while they are saying the full shahādah, it would be as if they testified that there is no God. So they shorten it to prevent this.
