Yeah I just removed the end mufflers. The mid pipe ends not even a meter away from the rear of the car, so not to bad. Definitely no smell at idle or driving. It did sound pretty good. However a little bit of drone around 80km/h by memory. (This video was actually made in winter 2017 I have been going’s through old videos I forgot about and posting them) Anyway mate hope this answers your question. Thanks for your support.
Nice video man. I recently bought a 2009 Toyota Aurion ATX and have been searching the web to see what upgrades I can do to it. What main things have you done with yours? I heard it is really hard to put a turbo in.
Thanks dude! Unfortunately I sold this one and I now drive a 2016 Presara! Yes I have heard turbos are not really worth it but short air intake rams and cat back exhaust sounds good. Or though the power gains aren’t that impressive.
Yes! It feels tighter, transmission shifts are firmer and the fuel economy is better to. The whole car is about 60kg lighter than the previous generation as well which helps. The 0 to 100 times in the 2016 Aurion are between 6-6.5 seconds.
@@mrxss1 would be a total sleeper then and surprise allot of cars. I have a Kluger with the same engine and only imagine it in a car body weighing several hundred kilos lighter - the engine really is underrated
Yeah its pretty insane actually! I can beat Falcon xr6’s, Commodores V6’s and some V8’s and even some older stock WRX’s!! A Kluger would be nice in a AWD though for good traction.
no exhaust pipes installed? was there any smell or fumes inside your car when the car was idle and not moving?

how does this compare to your Presera?
Hey, This was my old 2007 Presara actually, but the results would be pretty similar because the engine is basically unchanged.
How do you do the airbox mod ?
Basically you just switch the Vacuum line’s going into the intake flapper with the vacuum diaphragm.

@@mrxss1 did find the latter model quicker compared to the old car?

Did yours knock when cold?
Very rarely, only when not driven for a few weeks and only for a few seconds.

for sale???
Unfortunately I sold it 5 years ago!
Is there a tutorial on how to do this?
Not on a video that I could find, however on the Toyota Australia forum yes. Thats how I knew about it years ago when this was filmed.
