Appreciate the support man. Yes I will continue to put more stuff into the vehicle. The most expensive part( besides the motor) is out of the way. Now time to upgrade the fueling , get on nitrous, on a wheel and tire set up and have some fun.
@@omarrod71 Well that's important that the expensive part is done with, and yes putting better tires on it will help the performance while adding lighter wheels to it. Whens the last time you replaced the spark plugs/coil packs? It's very important to build that motor out before getting a NOS kit to it.
Right before I dropped off the vehicle for the transmission rebuild. The motor will take the nitrous for a while as seen with teksmrt( nitrous and boosted RAV4) and it can do 150shot but I will only be doing 100 just to be safe.
The intake alone wouldn’t be a lot of a power, at least not noticeable. But with everything else you do gain power and that’s without having a tune or flash. As proven by frankenstein motorworks testing his 2GR swapped MR2 without having car tuned/flashed with similar modifications as mine. He paired his 2GR with a manual transmission which gives him probably another 10-15whp. There is also a video of a Camry, with the same motor and transmission as mine, prior to getting the ecu tuned/flashed with similar modifications hitting the dyno and making decent whp numbers.
Actually I did. That is why I got the R9K ECU reflash to accommodate. Regardless Toyotas ECU would recognize that and burn more fuel. Now again, on its own the intake won’t yield you more noticeable power. But when combined with everything I did without a ECU reflash you will gain power.
Also you would not lose power. As much as the ECU would recalibrate itself. It would burn more fuel to be at the optimal AFR. As others have been on the dyno with purely and intake, they did not lose power at worse it was the same whp up to a gain of 3whp.
I want you advice, I have a camry se v6 2010 and I have a problem with the transmission, it is at 4k rpm or higher, it does not pull. Does this problem require me to replace the transmission or can it be fixed?
That’s sounds like your transmission is going out. You have 2 options. Get it rebuilt(not cheap) but is the best option in the long run. Or get it swapped by a used transmission.
@@omarrod71if you pay someone to rebuild your transmission from the ground up after it starts slipping does your shop just go in with total upgrades? I’m not really sure how transmissions work tbh
They would use OEM or equivalent parts and basically change everything inside the transmission. It’s not cheap but if you are intending on keeping the vehicle long term. It is the best option.
I did not for the primary sensor but I did for the secondary sensors. Although according to R9K I didn’t needed them since the ecu reflash accommodates for that. How I fucked up was doing the ECU reflash process then days later getting the cats gutted. I should of waited to get my cats gutted first then doing the ECU reflash process.
@@omarrod71 ah damn that sucks, good thing they’re taking care of it tho. Def wanna see when it’s up and running thinking of doing something kinda similar to my 2AZ
Definitely don’t need to do everything I did to reach 400hp. But for sure, pistons, rods, head gasket, resurfaced head and block. With that, that’ll get you decent power reliably.
Transmission slippage is all too common on these cars because previous owners never change the transmission fluid. Increasing power output only makes the transmission put out even more heat which in turn burns the transmission fluid more quickly causing clutch packs to fail. I change my own transmission fluid in all of my vehicles and it's pretty inexpensive as long as you know what you are doing.
Yes, back before I modified the vehicle I was told by the Toyota dealership that I should not replace the fluid, I don’t know why they would tell me that at the dealership. But eventually down the line, I would replace my own, but I believe at that point, it was too late. now, with the rebuilt transmission, I will be changing my old fluid more often, and to mitigate the heat problem, I purchased a transmission oil cooler.
Got the scraps from the catalytic converters and took it to a place to sell them. Gutting them is so my car can breathe better since it is tuned to do so.
Hello I'm happy to see that you still have the Camry, while continuing to customize it. I hope this continues in the future, that car has potential.

Great to see you back bro. As a proud owner of the Toyota Aurion here in Australia aka V6 Camry, I always look forward to the Camry videos. 😁
Glad to be back lol. I’ve been waiting to Gavin’s this car back. And we are not stopping for a while lol.
Keep it up Camry power baby!!
We trying bro
Hey bro. I have a 09 camry le V6. It’s pretty quick how it is. Thanks for the vid! I’ll definitely be takin a look into these mods
Also could you possibly drop a link to the tune kit👀
Glad to help. Just look up R9K tuned. It would be their ECU Reflash service

Making more noise isn't performance mod. Chalk off #5 & 4. The MAF is calibrated with it's weird airbox so #5 actually lowers it's power

@@omarrod71 if you follow Frankenstein you should know not to put some random cold air intake due to this unique MAF sensor calibration.

You just put me onnnnnn!!

One of our guys with ES has Evora headers i belive it ran him about $1600
Yeah I’ve been some from some companies but didn’t know which would work. But I’m not trying to pay the price lol.
@@omarrod71 No totally feel you! alot of money.
@@2GR_Mateo I decided to spend the money on a nitrous kit instead lol
You should do a POV drive bro I’m I interested of hearing the car n doing pulls
I have a video where I showed me turning my car on and you hear how it sounds. But I have more videos coming soon, so I’ll definitely add it.

When you gutted your cats, did you install any o2 sensor foulers so you wouldn’t get a check engine light?

Where did you get the intake from? I’m interested in buying it
My intake was from eBay. Less than 100 bucks for it.
You have a link to the upgraded valve body part?
Not a link, but you can look up BOE Fabrications and that’s the people that make them.
What harmonic balancer did you stall?
Still OEM
I have a 2008 RAV4 2gr-fe V6 and I would love to increase hp on!!!
It's not that difficult, granted make sure you're not in state like CA where you'd get state reffed

Don't know NH vehicle laws. But it's not difficult to make a little more power.
where did you buy the mkc y pipe from?
From Modified by KC. Look him up on FB. Warning tho, the y pipe was like 700-800 bucks if I remember correctly.
Where can i buy this r9k tune??
Search up R9K tuned ECU Reflash service
did u have 2 deal with sticky dash?
I did not.
You should totally wrap it! Like red or sonething
I just got it detailed this Saturday by my friend but eventually it’s getting re-painted the OEM color.
Hey bro did you ever get the tC engine built?
I did. And had to send it back. Piston broke. And motor has to get redone, not at my expense thank god.
