The oil filter housing seal via the O ring not by the torque. Leave that center drain plug alone. Change the O ring every time and don't over torque. You're doing great. Don't ignore your ATF. Lifetime fluid isn't. Do a drain and fill every 30,000 mile, sorry I don't metric. Good on ya.
Yes they are a Australian company. Yeah I have heard that but in the owners manual here it states 10W which is quite interesting. Maybe because of the warmer weather here.
@@mrxss1 Yeah I think your right, since you don't live in a freezing climate, having 5winter weight don't matter.. 10-30 seem find to me. Keep up the good job and post more awesome vids
@@mrxss1 2010. It’s a bit of a pain to get to and like you, I bought the removal tool. However, there isn’t enough room to fit it on as it’s very close to the sump pan. Had to improvise and make a wrench out of an old belt, my socket set ratchet and an old spark plug socket. 😂😂
@@mrxss1 I'm gonna contact Toyota and see what they say about it. I'm intrigued. There are 2grfe engines all over the southeast, southwest, and in the death valley region of the US, and they do just fine.
25NM I believe for the filter housing and a solid yank with my right arm for the oil nut on the sump! I will check the exact specs when I grab a chance👍🏼
This was great, man. The way you talked through each step was really helpful. Thank you for this!!
Thank you for the support! You’re welcome!
best engines 👍👍👍👍
Thanks ❤❤❤❤

Thanks for the feedback mate! Yes I pay a good mechanic to do the ATF every 2-3 years. It definitely makes a difference!
We don't have Nulon oil in the State.. are they a big brand over in AU? Cheers.. Also 2GR engine take 5w-30 no?

Thanks mate! Will do 👍🏼
How many liters of oil does the 2GR engine use
6 to 6.1 litres including the oil filter.
I had to Jack my Aurion up as the filter is on the back of the sump
Hmmm interesting, what year model is it?

Wow okay! Glad you have a solution!
That's interesting. The 2grfe engines in the U.S. don't use 10w30. The older ones use 5w30 and the newer ones use 0w20.
Hmm maybe something to do with the way we locally tuned them. It doesn’t get as cold here. Mainly hot.
