The rasp can be fixed if u get a cherru bomb n weld it behind the tip or atleast farther back than the tip somewhere. Helps eliminate the "straight pipe" rasp n gives u that rumbly rev.
First off your not going to get that sti or Subaru sound in a Camry because that sound a sti or Subaru engine makes is because it’s a boxer engine so you got two pistons on each side moving side to side not up and down and it’s not an inline four cylinder and the intake plenum is setup totally different to that’s where the sound comes from because the engine compression is a lil different to being a boxer engine also what you we’re pointing out was a exhaust manifold not a header
It's 50% because it's a boxer but largely it's due to the mismatched downpipe that's the noise most people recognize like how people think gtrs are Subarus sometimes and vice versa because of mismatched downpipe sizes
The Subaru sound is because of the header design. Firing order is pretty much the same as an i4. Just look up UEL Honda header videos. Personally I'm not a fan of the sound of an engine misfiring which is what subarus sound like. But everyone likes what they like.
I have this same 2.4L 02 Camry straight-piped with this same Evil energy straight muffler. I had it completely straight-piped but it was too loud so I had to add this straight muffler🤣 I'm throwing in a k&n intake soon
Yeah I didnt like mine straight piped either but it's perfect now with this, not obnoxiously loud under normal driving but it can be if I want it to be, and yeah i have an intake on mine so it's got some noise from that as well.
A good way to eliminate that ugly rasp sound is to go to a local autozone/oreily etc get a cherry bomb resonator and weld it behind the tip acts like a better muffler
Looking to get one on the Amazon prime day. That exhaust sounds 🔥🔥🔥👍🙂🙂Yooo I was about to stop the video then I heard 15:00 that’s what I want definitely 🤣😂🤣😂
Sounds great! Did you happen to notice any mpg gain with the intake/exhaust combo? I have a 06 scion XD. 1.6 and yours is about the closest I can find for comparison haha
@@gabeguedea2499 nope I didn’t get any lights or any problems. I went back to the stock intake a few months ago though just because it was too loud being combined with the new exhaust lol.
So let me get this straight. Your exhaust is stock except for that sub $50 muffler and it sounds that amazing? Please respond when you can cause if that's the case I'm buying it immediately. Thanks for the video
sorry for the dumb question, but i have a 2013 Toyota Corolla S and im wondering if all i need to do is just buy the muffler and take it to a muffler shop and they can solve it from there? Because idk what that extra pipe is you put on the muffler that seemed to come from no where? Is all I need is just the muffler for the muffler shop to get it done?
Could you drop the part #s for the additional pipes you used I’m trying to do this but I wanna get the right ones I tried slowing the video and zooming in but can’t quite get it
I honestly cant, I didnt pay any attention to them and i had removed them after the video to prevent burning smells.. It's basically just some pieces of pipe i got at orielly, you should be able to find the same ones that look just like these.
Attempted murder on the cops end. 😂 Could’ve blocked the road from way earlier not last minute. Now a misdemeanor offender is probably a paraplegic now great work. 😂😂😂 #ACAB
nah. Simple exhaust mods like this shouldnt throw any codes on any vehicle unless you do a cat delete or a full exhaust system that involves a cat delete
I really like your sound, I want to have the same. You just changed the muffler, everything else is stock right? Also my car is 2004 toyota solara 4 cylinder, do u recommend a 2.25’ inlet & 3’ outlet or 2’ inlet & 3’ outlet?
@@kartoozplays2412 everything else on the exhaust is stock except secondary cat delete but i dont think that made much difference in the sound at all. The solara has the same engine and i think basically the same exhaust system as a camry. Damn ima buy this… This is exactly what I want bc it’s not obnoxiously loud, but loud enough for it to sound amazing. Great vid
wow the timing on this, I bought the exact same thing yesterday for my 2.4 2004 camry le as well. Excited to install it seeing ur results

I think it'd be a shame to put this on a classic car. It deserves better imo.

I personally really love how mine sounds with the resonator still there, perfect mix of rumble and rasp. Never tried without the resonator though.
I have a question which one is it from the link the "2" in "3" out-burnt or the "2.25" in "3" out-burnt?
