I loved all of the closing themes but out of all of them this is my favorite one! The different cymbol tap arrangement kept the mysteriousness in the theme! I also love the electronic drums at the end of the drum intro and at the end of the verses! I wish every version of this song was on CD! The World Turns On and On forever in our hearts!
Dan Region...great announcer and nice guy. I once asked him if I could use something he'd written about Gettysburg in my history class. Not only did he gladly say yes, he wanted to know all about what I teach. And although I never dealt with him, GL's Alan Berns was another of my favorite soap announcers. And dare we forger the voice of the Bell shows--the legendary Bern Bennett?
There is an opening of As The World Turns from 1982 featuring announcer Dan Region, his first year with the show. And in this variant it shows the world completely going off screen briefly before coming back on screen on the left side of the screen as opposed to most openings featuring the world going off screen while at the sametime coming back on the screen making it look like two world's were colliding! Just type in the search blank ATWT 1982 Open and it will be the first video at the top of the listings! I always wondered what the sequence would look like if it had been made for HI Definition screens instead of just Standard Definition screens.
Could you put the mid program bumper music through the 80s on there without the announcements as well? Also did they ever play the 1988-1993 bumper music from the midprogram break logo over the opening and closing sequences? Like a longer version?
It's a Sad Day for all you Fans of "As the World Turns". The Final Episode Aired Today. I want all of you to keep your "As the World Turns" Memories alive by getting some Globes.
Takes me back 1992 going over my grandma house after school hearing this on her tv

I agree with you, TheDeadmanRules. In fact, I am now starting to work on the 1988 recreation package of As The World Turns.
