I have a newly married friend who I'm going to forward this recipe to. He needs to learn how to cook, and this recipe is a perfect, easy one to begin with. Looks delicious!
I watch a ton of cooking videos, and there is something different and distinctive about your channel that I really enjoy. I think it might be how you make kind of a gourmet/special recipes so simple and quick. I will be forever grateful for chicken madras!
Morning Niki, this looks super delicious and nourishing - a bowl of comfort! This is always most welcome, our winter is now starting, today all foggy as we had much rain during our weekend and yesterday, I could enjoy this right now. I am sure to do this, but this time all in one pot. Thank you for sharing, you are such an inspiration. We enjoy good food. Kind regards, go well.
I only found your channel recently & so pleased I did. So far I’ve made Chicken Alfredo Pasta Bake, Gnocchi with Chorizo & Creamy Harissa Sauce, & this Simple One Pan Bolognese Pasta. Love your recipes - uncomplicated & easy to follow, they contain ingredients that I already have, & the results are always delicious. I’ve just bought your new book so will be happily working my way through that. Thank you Nicky!
Hey Niki, We have cooked plenty of your recipes/suggestions and they have always been good, very good, you have not let us down once. However i feel the need to say this meal was super superb, you have literally outdone yourself, we made this watching you on youtube, and were totally blown away. Excellent, superb, and many other words that spring to mind, thank you so much, you are a superstar
I made a big pot of this, i didn;t have milk but it was still thick and tastey. I used ground pork, beef and italian sausage. It was so flavourful, i ate it with 2 piece of bread, i am going to be eating for the next 2-3 days!
Thanks, Nicky, this is tonight's dinner, for my wife, and son. I can't eat mince, the texture and I don't get on. I made your Easy Homemade Lasagne Recipe, last week, they said it was the best Lasagne they have ever tasted 👍
Hi Nicky! I tried your Gnocchi with Harrissa & Chorizo last week, and it was a hit with the family. So velvety and heart warming. Our first time trying Gnocchi believe it or not. I will definitely be making it again as it was quick and fuss free, which I like. Please do some more Gnocchi recipes. I was excited to see this and I’ll be adding it to the meal list.
Great idea, but I would recommend to roast the tomato puree thoroughly, to give umami and reduce the acidity of the purée! Will definitely try this lovely looking recipe!
I can't think of a better meal for a busy mum to cook on a school night. If the children all eat an appropriate size portion, no one would need anything else, until breakfast time!
Made this for the family and it went down a storm. Our new favourite. Might try it with chicken next time. Thanks for all your great recipes. We love doing them
Hi Nicki! I have been subscribed to your channel for a long time, but apart from giving "like" I have never made any comments. I must say that I am a very passionate chef, and I have tried some of your recipes that I really enjoyed. I love Asian and Italian food, and I am very creative when it comes to sauces, although I must say on this occasion that I loved your idea and that I will try it soon, and I want to congratulate you on it!! Kind regards from Uruguay
@@Kitchensanctuary Hello Nicki, I hope you are doing great!! I finally did your recipe today, and I am enjoying it right now, and as promised I tell you that is very nice and tasty. I used for pasta, Orechiette by Barilla, and I made a couple of changes from your original recipe, that were: - I do not like chedar cheese, so I used emmental french cheese that it is very tasty and soft, and - instead of adding as a topping chilli flakes, I preffered to use a couple of italian oil peperoncini picanti cooking them at the same time than the garlic, and the final result was yummy!! Thank you for your recipe, and if you think my changes may be interesting, the next time you will cook this pasta recipe try to use them and give me your opinion!! Kind regards from Uruguay, George
Hi Nicky, hope you're well, I just want to say thank you for these recipes, quick, easy and so delicious, milk and cream really adds more depth to this dish and don't see any other way to make bolognese. I've also tried your Tuscan chicken and wow absolutely delicious 😋. Thank you once again and keep those yummy recipes coming along. With love from South Africa 🇿🇦
Thanks nikki. Love your channel. My family, especially the kids love pasta so I made this for them. I ain’t keen on pasta but I even had some! Really easy and so tasty. Thank you
I batch cook my Bolognaise and similar sauces and freeze in portion sizes. I sometimes serve with Spagetti but mostly with Penne and the curly ones. I have - so far - always cooked the pasta separately but I think I will try and cook it in the reheating/simmering sauce. I belive this will give me something very similar for a one person version and I am due another program of frezzer re-stock with Bog-Sauce, bought the ingredients the other day.
I hope you get a book made. I'd be buying a copy for everyone. Everything I've made is perfection. The sweet chilli beef is better than the Chinese takeout.
Thank you for all your recipes I watch you regularly please keep up the good work and if you could do a few more meals for one as my partner is not with me all the time just to give me some ideas of something different to eat that would really be appreciated once again thank you very much I really appreciate everything you do and everything you show us
OMG Nikky this was an absolute smash at my house. My roommates kinda depend on me for good meals (they can barely cook toast lmao) and this was so easy and there were no leftovers! Definitely putting this in my rotation.

I made this for my Family tonight and it was beautiful and all the plates we emplty. I do have a question please, how come the pasta was not cooked and then added to the sauce, is there a reason for this? Thank you Nicky.
Why, in nearly every recipe do you add milk/cream/creme fresh? I can't stand the stuff, it literally makes me puke. I'd rather not have the cheese either. So could you come up with some dairy-free alternative recipes, please?
A bolognaise ragu takes hours to cook, not 30 minutes. Please do not use the name of the real sauce in vain, as it isn't even close to the actual. Also, a proper bolognaise ragu is served with pappardelle or tagliatelle, and certainly not spaghetti or other pasta shapes.
Milk? Red pepper? Cream? Chives? Together? Why don't you add some chilli jam and some nutella as well? And you want people to eat mince meat that's been cooked for less than 30 minutes and not choke on strings of leathery beef? What on Earth are you smo... Oh wait.. You know all the proper chefs are gonna do a reaction video about this monstrosity! You're just Reaction-Baiting them aren't you? Fair play. Watch out Jamie Oliver, theres a new rodeo clown in town
Looks delicious.....but milk????? 🤷🏻♂️
Oh yes it works 😋
Milk is traditional, it's the red pepper I would leave out
I have always put milk in mine.
With bolognese yes you put milk not bell peppers however 😅
Never seen a bolognese made without a cream

Look at Aldi & Lidl they often sell these type cast iron pans. Yes they have an enamel coating.
Unless you want hassle don’t buy ones that are not coated. As they need seasoning and caring for.

I would agree that 20% fat makes it too fatty a dish. I use 5% steak mince and it seems fine to me.
Thanks for the feedback. Typically i'll use 12% or 5% (or thereabouts) mince for most dishes. 20% is a must for burgers though 😋
