Very happy with the stability that is coming from this gimbal. Looks like if you want to stabilize something bigger than the Canon M50 you'll need to go with a larger gimbal. But for those with a smartphone. action camera and a small mirrorless this is a great option!. I am deciding between this gimbal and a Weebill-S.. I own an Canon EOS M50. I want the ability to start/stop recording and snap photos using the buttons on the gimbal. You were able to do that?
I enjoyed this informative review! Very well done! Does the smartphone attachment of this gimbal securely fit the Samsung S 20 Ultra smartphone with an Otter Box Case? Thanks!
Thanks Cruisn i originally bought this for my Fujifilm XT-4 and have 2 lenses which are zoom lenses and with either lens the combined weight is under the rated 1.2 kg payload but i couldn't get it to balance either.I will however try with the Sony RX100 iii and the GoPro 7 - it shouldn't be a problem.Very helpful thanks and i realized it wasn't my inept setting up that was the issue but good to see it confirmed all the same !
I have seen some other reviews too and a lot of people have said the balancing is pretty hard to do in this particular gimbal, would you recommend someone who shoots a lot of cinemtic shots in his vlogs to buy this?
i would keep it on tbh, gimbals are great for overall stability, however, jitter DOES exist, and any inbody stability would be nice, BUT you dont NEED it per say
Thanks my friend. Up is definitely the right direction! Also, I think that for a lot of people this would be a great gimbal. Pretty good weight limits and most people would never have cameras gear much heavier than the M50 or Sony 6000 lineup.
I tried with a Panasonic FZ1000 and a Nikon D5300 with the standard lens and none of those worked. Didn’t even fit in actually. I even had problems balancing my iPhone X.
I had no problem connecting to the app on my with the g6max until I updated the firmware through the app, now it won't connect anymore. I have restarted everything, re-downloaded, etc. Nothing, any advice?
The gimbal has a bug in the firmware. Using zoom on the thumb wheel and pressing any physical button it does both zoom and tilt control. Creates cool effects, but definitely a bug.
Does anyone know if this gimbal will be good for and hold the Canon m50 with the Sigma 16mm lens? Just wondering if it might be too heavy with that lens since it is bigger. But I won't be using the cage or mic or anything extra. Thanks!
@@gregtoope oh yeah btw, if you goto settings, and scroll a bit you can find the "Adaption" mode for the gimbal, cause if the motor strength is too high, or low, it does wobble like that in the beginning, got mine to look cinema grade stability once i dialed in the settings perfectly
yeah the R series is just a bit wide and with most lenses, it is just to front heavy. But for someone looking at getting their first gimbal or a gimbal that can be used with their smartphone, GoPro or small mirrorless, this is a good option.

Hi! Would it carry a GH4+24-70mm lens? Not sure it is within acceptable parameters for this gimbal. Thanks!
Great review. Thanks. What's the camera you use strapped to your head ?
Thats an Ordro EP7
thanks for the video. can I ask which one is better Zhiyun or Feiyu this one? thanks
Since i havnt tested the Zhiyun i cant answer. Sorry.

Hello I'm interested to buy one of these... Is it funtional for for a Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FZ300K ? It is 1.52 Pounds
Thank you I see there is a referb on E-Bay for this in the sub $300 range I think I am going to snag it.
Hi, you also tested the Sirui Swift P1. Which do you prefer? P1 or G6 Max? I have a Panasonic Lumix G85 camera. Thanks.
They're close, but i think I like the design of the P1 better. But thats a bit of personal preference.
@@gregtoope Thanks. I enjoyed your reviews

is this gimbal support stabilization on sony NEX 5??? Tks bro
I used a canon m50 on it and that weights about 100g more than the Nex 5. So my guess would be yes, but I would reach out to Feiyu Tech to confirm.
@@gregtoope when the M50 camera is not connect to gimbal wifi, can you use ur gimbal (pan, tilt, roll) funtions??? tks 😍

All depends on the camera and the lens. Weight is one thing, but if you are using a lens that is really front heavy then that can become an issue.
@@gregtoope I am using M50 with the ket lens too, can you tell me if balancing was hard for you to do while making the video
@@namanvinayak4661 not at all. that combo worked very well.
Should digital IS enable or off when using a gimbal?

is it possible to shot with this gimbal in vertical ?
I have the same question. Have you figured it out?
A pretty good looking gimbal. The stability looked fine from my point of view.

I've seen that you also have the DJI Ronin SC. You have a favorite between the two ? I hesitate between the two ! Thank you ! :)
I like the Ronin SC better. Cost more, but better. I also just picked up the Moza Aircross. So hope to do more testing on that one soon.
@@gregtoope Thank you very much ! :)
Hi Cruisn, is this compatible with Canon 250d?
Doubtful. My guess is that it has to be a fairly small and light mirrorless camera. DSLR cameras are quite a bit heavier than mirrorless.
the 250d is only 80g heavier than the M50 and with the M50 with a cage its comparable so this gimbal should take the 250d with ease.
take Zhiyun WEEBILL-S - much better and load up to 2 kg
@@daydreamvision yes but its more expensive, the point is that for the money this is a superb gibal and takes up less space.

All of those cameras are below the payload btw.

Would you recommend this over the zhiyun crane m2 or moza mini p

works like a dream, and hella portable

Nice gimbal but it is at its limit I think. The Feiyu Tech AK2000 would be better for the heavier camera.
