This video was not sponsored, but the G6 Max was given to me by FeiyuTech for free, that is why I have to mark it as “Product Placement”. They didn’t hand me money to say anything nice, so the opinions of the product are still my own.

sehr gutes Video - kurz und knackig das Wesentliche - Danke!
Well done. That for the hard work. Subscribed.
Very nice and clean review. Thanks much!
Excellent review. Thank you!
thanks for your review.i need the excellent product for my travel
After using it a couple of times, I find it really a good and almost the best lightweight handheld gimbal for Mirrorless Camera. I can use it with iPhone and some other smartphones also GoPros on this device with no issue,
great review style, maybe you can show how looks like if you vlog with this guy, thanks for sharing
Hi, can you tell me if I can use a a7III with a extra follow focus motor? thank you for the reply in advance
hamburg looks much beautiful place, well this gimbal looks attractive
Thanks for the review. Just a query, while using your sony A7series camera, as shown on video, are you using additional balancer at the plate of the camera?
Brian thank you for a great video! Do you know if it is compatible with bigger phones like an Iphone 13 pro Max? Also is the gimbal waterproof in case you jump into the water? I just subbed to the channel. Great content!
Great review. i am planning to buy this gimbal for my a7iii and tamron 17-28mm. how was this gimbal performs on a7iii? thanks.
really a nice budget and east taking products during travel.
This stabilizer is amazing! I enjoyed all 9 modes for shooting video. The battery life is long enough for all day shooting event. The lock function let you lock all 3 axis and it is very helpful when you ready to pack the gimbal and go.
from this review, the video bit shaky, could you upload yours ?
Can it do inverted mode?
very nice video bro. what is this plate you're using?
Hansestadt Hamburg, I lived there for 9 years. Also where I went to the German version of High School years 5 and 6.
what is the most improtant for a gimbal? weigh light/ compatible with more kinds of device of course.
can it match A7 III? it looks so nice
Does this works with the A73 and tamy?
Can you use vortex mode with a7 iii?
Only issue I have is connecting my sony A7ii to the gimbal via Bluetooth. It doesn’t show up on the app & it says on the description compatible with many Sony A7 series.
If you could follow that review up with a review of their app, while using a smart phone. I’m looking for a gimbal to use with just a smart phone loading that up with lenses and filters. And would like an app that has some great features to use with the phone
0:43 play around with the individual arms. I managed to fit most of my cameras in a way that allows me to keep the "order" of each arm in such a setting that I can put it back into the case without touching it in any way :) In short - try to ballance your camera so that the whole gimbal fits right back into its case .
Nice review! What about the feiyu app when using with a phone as your main camera, specifically android, do you have access to 4k, diferente fps, white balance, motion lapse, for example.
It's only a control app. You use your phone's camera app
and How to connect the camera and the gimbal, so shooting can be controlled from the gimbal?
I also use G6MAX. It is very steady with great quality, yet not too heavy for women. The setting up is a little complicated for a beginner, but one you understand it, it will be very easy. It works as it shall be.
Will it work eos 750d + 50mm?
Hi Brian, does it work with Panasonic GH5?
Is it possible to mount a SONY Handycam FDR-AX33B on this gimbal?
I wanted to use it on samsung note 10 plus can it rotate from horizontal to vertical
I had no problem connecting to the app on my with the g6max until I updated the firmware through the app, now it won't connect anymore. I have restarted everything, re-downloaded, etc. Nothing, any advice?
It looks precise with the total Alu material, and thanks for sharing your review. Compatiable with so many equipment, is a good design.
And there any underslung handle for it?
Thanks for the overview. How would you compare this to the Zhiyun Crane M2? I just picked it up to use with my iPhone 11. I attached an anamorphic lens and Tiffen variable ND filter. This lens and filter combo is heavy and I can only properly balance the gimbal by taping coins (temp fix) to the underside of the quick release plate. Yes, I balanced it properly but I run out of room to make adjustments. The issue is that its really top heavy. With that said, It does fly well and carries the weight. Thoughts?
Cheers,
Greg
i think m2 payload only 720 gr. g6 max 1.2kg with almost size m2.
Nice review, which microphone did you use to record this with. Cheers
Thanks, it's the Sennheiser MKE-600
i used dj i osmo 6 for oneplus 8 pro which is really dissapointing almost no stabilization because phone was too heavy does this work fine with heavy phones can u walk with it have no jitters?
Does it work with the lumix g7
Great review. How do you compare it to Zhiyun Crane M2? Which would you recommend?
i think m2 payload only 720 gr. g6 max 1.2kg with almost size m2.
Would it work with a canon 750d with a 50mm lens?
is compatible whit luxmi fz 300?
Finally! A company that is giving us USB-C charging. I purchased mine a few days ago. I can't wait to try it out.
How do you like it?
@@RealSteveEyes I returned it. It's a horrible gimbal. Price was great but software was really bad. It always said it needed to be updated but I could never do it. The concept and price is great but it's just not ready for market yet. Also the screws for balancing are really annoying and take forever to balance.
@@ckdesignlab thanks for the reply. Do you have your eyes on another gimbal? What do you think about the moza aircross 2?
@@RealSteveEyes no other gimbals at this time. Gonna wait until there is a new weebil or moza
Looks like u have too add extra weight piece too balance the camera that don’t comes with the kit
Interesting Product! what do i need to use the vertical mode? i want to shoot vertical with the sonY a6000 🙂 thanks.
There is an option in the settings, but technically that's for phones, I have not tested if it works with a camera.
Hi Brian, did you have a Sony A7R3/A73 on it, or the previous A7R2/A72?
That's an A7S
Hello I'm interested to buy one of these... Is it funtional for for a Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FZ300K ? It is 1.52 Pounds
feiyutech g6 max running What kind of mobile is best for ZHIYUN SMOOTH 5
G6 Max vs DJI Ronin SC? Ronin SC is on sale for $279 G6 Max $249. Thanks!
Will this work with SONY 7 A C ?
The gimbal has a bug in the firmware. Using zoom on the thumb wheel and pressing any physical button it does both zoom and tilt control. Creates cool effects, but definitely a bug.
I bought this as my camera and lens are a bit under 1 kg and the motors can barley function, horrible feedback compared to gimbals at similar price but hold a 3-6 kg payload. Great for a go pro or phone but I dont know how your big camera is not messing up.
the video was really good...keep it up bro
Hey i watched ur video on the G6 max, i have a long lens and the gimble seems not being able to handle it so i did my research and found that i need to counterweight it from the opposite side to balance it. I have seen that u having same lens size i have but it worked with u. Did u add anything to it if yes plz lmk what it is because i will return the gimble if I can’t figure out a solution for it although I really love the gimble
Really long lenses are a problem, if it doesn't work then you might be out of luck. Maybe try it with a counterweight, but that could also just make it worse
hi, im wondering if it can handle a7iii & tamron 28-75 f2.8
if you have tried it, itd be great to hear about it from you
I actually have tried an A7S with that Lens and it wasn't able to be balanced
Brian Alex thank you
I'll be using mine with the Nikon z30!
Thank you for this review! Would this carry a Canon 80D?
It might be too big
@@BrianAlex Thank you for the reply! I was planning on just using my Canon 80D with a 24mm which is pretty small. My budget is tight. Do you have any recommendations?
Does anybody tried it with a small camcorder ? Can it take it? I mean about 500 gr, 15 cm long
What is it that you have under the camera? We purchased a viltrox adapter for a 50 mm lens but it wont get balanced properly. So we notice your camera is sitting on something different. What is it?
It's a smallrig base plate. But that shouldn't really do anything. Did you calibrate the motors?
Is it possible to use the gimbal with the sony a6300 and 18-105mm lens?
The camera works for sure, but the lens could be too long
Would I be able to take pictures with my Canon M50 still attached to the G6 Max gimbal?
of course
Is a Canon M50 Compatible?
Hi broo.. how to change language from china to english
Thanks for the review. Do you think gimbal works with Sony A7R iii?
Should as it worked with an A7S, but be careful with big lenses
@@BrianAlex my plan is to use with 18-105 f4 oss
That's probably gonna be too big :/ I only use primes
Why does my gimbal slowly move horizontally?
Thank you for sharing. I like Feiyu product too.As they are really working so hard to improve the users using experience even from the small details like the charger type C cable and gimbal can charge the phones. Good company.
Nice review. What was the total payload of your A7 Sony setup?
As shown in the video it's about 800 grams.
@@BrianAlex Oh okay. Thanks! Is it the Sony A7S mark 1 with the Sigma 16mm 1.4 lens? Do you have any problems with that setup including the "Inception" mode?
Well, normally I use it with my A6300. I just had to borrow that A7 body to have a second camera. That's also why there an APS-C lens on there (A Sigma 30mm F 1.4). But the A6XXX series is only about 50 grams lighter, so that should not make the difference. And with that all movements work fine. Just lenses that are rather long (like full frame zoom lenses) don't work that well.
@@BrianAlex Thanks for replying. I've already ordered one today and will be using it primarily with my Panasonic Lumix GX85 paired with the 12-35mm f/2.8. I think the G6 Max should be more than enough for this setup.
@@BrianAlex Do you think the G6 MAX can handle the sony 18-105mm f4 on the a6300 ?
Help!!!!!!! I have lost the screw from the plate, help me to find it in internet, thank you!!!!!!
Does it work with a sony Alpha 6500 and 16-70 lens? Or 10-18 lens?
The later one should work, the 16-70 might be too big, the camera works for sure
@@BrianAlex I have the 16-70 I balanced it but when I turn on the gimbal it starts to tremble
Issues has been solved?
Must be from Hamburg?!
Hi there, I have a question: I got this gimbal today, and I can't rotate the knob ring of the ROLL Axis, its very tight. I did everything I could but I gave up, my hands are hurting already. Do I have to use a special tool for this one? Thanks a lot.
Did you fix the problem? :(
@@rubenmendez2377 nope.. i returned the item.. and I got the refund..
Hi I just bought one for my Lumix GX85 with 12-60mm Panasonic lens. But after balancing and starting the gimbal, it starts shake heavily, do you know what this problem is? Thanks
You have to go into the app and do the automatic motor calibration, they are set to strong for a light camera out of the box
@@BrianAlex Thanks i will try
Did you manage to make it work with the Lumix?
Would it carry a GH4 + 24-74mm lens? I think the combo would exceed G6 Max payload. Thank you
A 24-74mm will probably be too long. It's not necessarily the weight but the distribution that might be the issue
@@BrianAlex Hi, thanks! You are right it is not just about total payload but also distribution. it may be too "front heavy" with a large lens. I am now looking at a Leica 12-60mm and its little brother from Panasonic. Their form factor and total weight (~300gr) may make it possible to use with this gimbal :) (what do you think?)
That could work, but I think you won't get around trying. This gimbal can hold more than you would think, but it's not a full size Gimbal. I currently don't have any zoom lenses, so I can't really give a full answer.
Can I use this gimbal? ? With sony a7c + temron 28.75.for wedding shoot?.
No, the lens will be too big most definitely
@@BrianAlex ok. thankyou
Where do you buy the counter weight? It doesnt come with it
It's just a cheese plate, I didn't intentionally put it there for balance
@@BrianAlex ohh ok i thought u need it..thanx for the reply
Love the gimbal and what its capable of, unfortunately, no one ever talks about how lousy the app is.
The AK2000 and G6 Max cost the same in Germany. What would you go with?
I had both. And I would say if the G6 Max can carry your camera (check the weight and legth of the lens), then I would go with that one. Much lighter and smaller, you can use it for much longer without arm fatigue. The AK200 can carry more weight, but also feels like a gym workout after a day of shooting.
The size argument is what really gets me. Have you had good experiences with transporting the AK2000 when disassembled (in a custom camera bag for example). I'm also really into the AK2000's charging port as my A6400's battery life isn't the best.
Hello. Do you know the measures of the case?
Hey Brian,,, Is there a tracking Feature it?
You mean tracking?
@@BrianAlex sorry 😊yess...
The app doesn't have a camera function, so no.
So, Which gimbal would you recommend to me, For Android phone and Mirrorless Camera (With Tracking feature)
Tracking with a camera can't work as far as I am aware. It only works with phones, so it's also only supported on gimbals for phones such as the ones from DJI I think
Does your gimbal lock 100% without any loose spaces? In mine, when I lock all the axes, there's still some space around the locks especially on one axis. I wonder if anyone here has the same. Is it ok or is it a fault? I assume that because I will be using it mostly unlocked it shouldn't be an issue but still it bothers me..
There is some play on mine as well, but not that much, maybe a millimeter
@@BrianAlex thanks Brian. In mine it is good 3mm on one lock and even more on the other one... it's just wobbly. Do you think that's faulty then?
dont you think its still bit shaky ?
looks a bit to me,
Can i us iit with a Panasonic fzx80 camera
can this gimbal lift a7s and gmaster 24-70?
I would say the lens is too big and front heavy.
@@BrianAlex hmm ok thank you bro
I think you can buy an arca swiss adapter to mod this
Yes, I have done that and it works perfectly.
Can you mount monitor in it?
Yes, there is a quarter inch thread for that on the side
@@BrianAlex what side? Right or left?
On both actually
W.O.W.
How much payload??
1.2kg
Well... I ended up hating this gimbal and returned it. Firmware updates were very buggy, only 3 hours of battery life with the Sony a6300 and kit lens, inaccurate battery life indicator, clunky and overly tight balancing knobs, and the Feiyu ON app was crap. I really wanted to love this but it's half baked at best.
Chris K, what did you end up buying? I am so torn with this gimbal choosing. Making me crazy and all leashed up!
Beautiful and well-made pictures. But: difficult to understand for people who do not have English as their mother tongue, because spoken too quickly. It has to be different.
Ok
really
i mean, this is a gimbal review video. but really lacking on the footage of actually using this gimbal'
I like G6 Max more than Zhiyun M2. G6 Max is much better.
I see a lot of jitter
Fieyu tech app suck with no support from company. I tried to want but hours spent on frustration made me send back.
What is hurry, speak slowly.
I noticed while editing that I spoke way too fast.
Lol. I was just getting ready to say I liked how fast he got through it. I’d prefer if most people just ran through the point like this tbh.
The stabilization looks really weak..very bad shots
Did you tell us about all the stupid things that doesn’t make this gimbal useful at all , it doesn’t work with any mirrorless camera at all
You could of filmed objects that are moving to test the gimbal not stationary, kinda of pointless video.
