Note that many sorts of data is useful for engineering and upgrades. For example at 5:45 Hawkes ignores the Stellar Activity Logs which are needed for engineering "Greater range" for your weapon as well as "Faster tracking" for your suit. It may be used for more engineering recipes as I only know the recipes for the three public on foot engineers for now. My guess is that 50-75% of materials and data is usable for engineering or upgrades.
Also, at 9:59, there is Operational Manual data that is used for "Faster handling" and "Reload speed" engineering. It's of course quite possible Hawkes has these datas already.
For those Larceny/module missions and such, the mission item will be in a container by itself and not in a container you have to E-breach. If you just avoid picking up that one item you can get all the others even if they have the same name. More profits!

So that was awful. Apparently in our suits we don't get reports of our ship being under attack. I was trying one of the Restore mission at a military base. My ship was destroyed before I even knew the patrol had spawned. I got picked off by snipers because all I had was a pistol and an AR. Pretty unhappy with this whole process. I could have just flown away and not dealt with the extra objectives. To top it all off after dying I woke up on the prison ship for absolutely no reason? Why. Time to take a break and go do something that makes any kind of sense I guess. FTR it was Threat 5 commanders. So if anyone is going to do one of those, just make sure you're prepared with some decent ranged weapons and maybe just go right to your ship after you pop the regulator in.
It's worth noting, you need to PULL THE POWER SUPPLY if you're running a restore mission multiple times! Otherwise after you SC out, it's considered 'complete', and resets your clearance (plus you won't be able to turn it back on). The shutdown takes ~2-3 mins, so activate it early while you're finishing your loot run.
For those having problems with getting loot to respawn, Frontier changed it so now you have to completely restart the game for loot to respawn. A simple log out to main menu will not work anymore
Thank you so much for the find and heads up to us in the community. Note Cmdr Hawkes is flying in the GLOOORRRRIOUS PYTHON. Looking forward to your 2021 ship review of it : )
You can stop with SRV right infront the big crates. SRV's contact list show which type materials are you going to loot. İm driving SRV around the settlement buildings. The contact panel shows whether it is worth taking the material or not.
There's something like 'planetary surface rental cottage village' in somewhere. Usually, 5~6 habitat buildings and 1 power center are in there. Each habitat building is close to others, and has 2~4 lockers and 1 data pod. One example spot is "Bhatt's Prize" in KARSUKI TI system.

Because my game crashed 24 times in one day, including once where my power cell was removed from my inventory altogether and placed in my ship, which I collected and the game immediately crashed again, I wanted to share that eliminating enemies by colliding your ship with them after getting them away from the base with thermal weapons is efficient and requires nothing past level 1 weaponry.

Best way to get power regulators is to find a mission to Kill/Assassinate members of an anarchy faction at an anarchy settlement. You can kill the entire settlement without getting bounties because it's an anarchy faction, then take their power regulator. Does anybody know where to find weapon components? This walk through helped me with everything except that
Yeah, i need to know it too
Great Video! Any idea how to get Inventory Data (Weapon/Chemical) and Digital Design Data for the Backpack extension Upgrade?
Is there a list of engineering parts aside from parts u can sell ?
I cannot find any power regulators. I have ripped off SRV's and downed ships for their regulators but all are degraded and cannot use those for upgrades...any help for that?
Non degraded ones spawn very rarely
Are those locations still viable with Update 14 or nerved?
Just relog outside of the container. Don't ask me how I know :)
If you happen to make the same mistake as I did, relog back in the Horizons, and log back into the Odyssey again.
And thanks to Cmdr Hawkes for making this video ;)
After a fucking week of Googling shit, flying all over the place to 20 different systems, pulling my hair and teeth out, I finally found someone who actually tells you where to find this shit, and how to actually farm it. Can't be that hard to just tell people. Still working on finding Irregular Marker sites, but hey, at least I know how to farm them now
