Simply Woodworking - Let's make a tealight candle holder from pallet wood & also clean a hand plane

I was gifted a lump of pallet wood (cheers bro - xmas gift expert!) so I'm going to make a basic tealight candle holder. Standard stuff. The pallet wood isn't great...I think it is from a 'Plane' tree (?)... but it does have provenance; It came from South Korea on a cargo ship where it was used in steel stacking. I never said it had good provenance...!
Anyhoo, I also clean a cheapo hand plane and get to use my new fancy drill press.
