Simply Woodworking - let's carve a tulip - lime wood - hand tools carving

In this the final vid of 2021 I carve a celebratory tulip. It turns out pretty decent (I'm sure we're ALL surprised by that...). I am proper getting into carving now, it's so relaxing and satisfying. And the purchase of some cheapo (8 QUID!) diamond needle files is a GAME CHANGER... Here's to a carving-based 2022...

I use the same circle needle file for clearing out my fuzzis and smoothing edges😂

I'm a carver from Cheshire..I'm currently working on a detailed piece..and I'm wondering about what finish..is best to use..my carving is also in lime wood..would appreciate some suggestions.cheers
