Just after 5:40, I'm not entirely sure what makes it necessary to quickly turn around briefly and then continue right.

One program you can search for is Lunar Magic, likely what this was created with. I don't know if it supports anything outside of SMW though.

TAS (Tool-Assisted-Speedrun) It basically means he used loads of "tools" on an emulator to slow the game down A LOT and use a thing called save states to save a certain point in the game then load it again if he dies or messes up and he just does this A LOT.

Watching TAS versions is pretty cool. But in my opinion, creating them must be one of the most boring fuck in this entire life. I dont know how someone can waste tonst of time in playing a game frame by frame and tons of te records.

Ehh, i'm not even that excited for kaizo hacks to begin with, but this looks like one of the more boring ones. IIRC a good kaizo hack is one that looks awesome when you playback the controller movements through the hack, everything i've seen so far just seem bland. Difficulty is never really an issue with Kaizo hacks (come on, you're just spamming savestates anyway, what penalties are there to begin with other then repeating the same single jump multiple times)

The point of ROM hacks is to use and abuse glitches, pixel perfect everything and any other trick you can to survive.
well this hack looks incredible uninteresting and from this video also very boring to play. I am not good at kaizo but I still like playing some kaizo hacks but this just doesn't look fun...
